Roper is doing pretty good from what I hear. More than likely will dress varsity.

I have seen King's Academy's from the outside, but it still looks pretty small. But the smallest gym has to be Clinch... Tuffie, they too are a K-12 school. With 44, not seniors, but students. It is very tall, but I bet it holds 400, tops.. And VolunteerGeneral was talking about the scorers/clock operators being 10 feet in the air on one side of the gym, well that is the way it is at Unaka. I think it works pretty good too. I can see everthing from up there, but it is kind of hard to hear who the refs are calling the foul on.

Well, I guess you could call it an upset since Unaka is a 3 seed, and Midway is a 2 seed. Now I am not downing Midway or anything, but I just think we want it more. Sooo much more. We'll just have to wait and see. See you on Friday.

To all of you people saying you can hanndle Cloudlands O-line: You would have better luck playing against a parking garage. Trust me, I have had first-hand experince with them.

Special teams is the way to go! Get to play every game, but you don't get killed from playing every play. Hey, with a few upsets, we could see each other in a few weeks...... o.k. , we'll just have to wait 'till next year. Good luck to both teams, but since I'm from region 1, I do have a soft spot for North Greene.

Hey people, get over it! I don't like at all what happened when we played Cloudland. But that was over two weeks ago and there isn't a thing that can be said or done about.... I think we can do it against Midway... bearly. Unaka-25 Midway-22

That does make alot of sence. But not all the privates are in onre region, but alot are.

There is no quick way to get to Mountain City from anywhere.

I didn't know it was that bad in the west. I thought all the Regions in A ball were pretty much even except for ours. Thanks for telling me this. I know better now!

I would like to see Unaka go all the way and see just how terrible that turf is to play on. But, I don't exactly see thet happening .......... I say Cloudland vs. CPA or Gordonsville

If you are willing to pay for it all, I say let's go for it! The reson we are a five team region is that we are the only 1A schools east of Knoxville. On average, how long does it take for everyone else to get to a conferance game. O.K. here at Unaka, this is our travel time to conferance games: Cloudland- about half an hour North Greene- about an hour-and-a-half Cosby- two-and-a-half to three hours Jelico- at least four hours I think Jelico shouldn't even be in our conference. Heck they are farther west than CAK or Greenback, region 2A schools. But they had to have more than four teams in a conferance, that is why Jelico is here.

DekeRivers, you are almost always acurate in your prodictions. But I don't think it will be a 50-60 piont spread. I say abou 40-45, but thats just me, a player. You are the sports writer. Anyway, Cloudland will keep their staters in as long as it is not embericing for both teams. It won't get to out of hand like some games, but Cloudland's starters need more than a half of playing time to warm up for rounds 3 and 4.

Well, it has been two months since I have seen them, but I pretty sure they have good speed. They are small number-wise, but they are able to surprise you. That is all the info I can give you....Could you help Unaka out and shed some light on Midway?

I didn't know 21st Century was public.... Anyway, with a small school division(say with a attendence of 250 or below) Schools would have to travel a long way to play, wouldn't they? I know that small schools are more abundant in west Tenn., but what about the ones from the east? Cloudland(about 210-220 in attendence) would have to travel 3 or four hours to get to a small schcool.... what is the closest "small school" to Cloudland. Shoot, who are all the small schools in the first place..... just wondering

Yes, Chambers will be an impact, but Lewis is not playing. Hasn't played since his sophmore year.The one with the bad knee is McInturff. But to answer you question, we also have two other great seniors. Collins and Jones. Derick Cline, a junior, is also a very capable player. And people may remember Tee Blevins from baseball? Well, it just so happens that he is pretty good at basketball too.

I honestly don't know why we(Unaka) were not invited. They obviosly don't really care if they have good teams or not, then they wouldn't have the likes of Sullivan East. If you want to see better games, just come to Round Ball in the Hall, and see us play Bristol and Science Hill.

So the winner of the unaka(if we win tonight, which is probable)and midway game play the winner of the Cloudland-CAK? I was just wondering since I didn't know how it all worked.

Well, I believe the main reson, in most cases anyway, is the quality of education. I go to Unaka, a very under-funded school, as are most public schools at this time. Let's face it, in almost every case, you WILL get a better education at a private school. Better facilities. Better learning atmosher. Really, the ones paying to go to school aren't going to goof up all the time so evereone there wants to learn.......Saddly, though, I think some parents send their kids to a private school for the sole porpose of athletics.

Cosby has got a new, and fairly nice, field........ And I have to agree, Chuckey-Doek's "Black Hole" is preety bad.
