  1. I would love nothing more than to see Cleveland beat Red Bank, but I just highly doubt that it will happen. Red Bank gets another possible shutout. 42-0.
  2. Nobody likes to see someone get hurt. Were the Hixson players getting into Dell's legs? Of course, how else can you tackle a great ball carrier who weighs that much? Were the trying to injure his knees? No. I don't blame them for hitting low though. In a times free press article on friday, there was a little section about a player from Cleveland with a major concussion in a helmet breaking collision with Dell. That right there sends a message not to hit him high.
  3. What's not being seen in this is that nobody gave Hixson a chance to win, at all.
  4. How were you crusing to a victory when dell went down? The score was either 14-6 or 14-12 at that juncture, and that is by no means crusing to victory.
  5. Russ is right though. That stadium was quiet after Dell went down. They never really acted like they could play without him. I did see a spark of light on White Co.'s offense though. Counter Trap where they give it to the RB, that was getting some okay yardage. But don't blame this on the coaches. The coaches can't control all those people getting injured. A true team must play team ball though. It takes 11 guys. Not 3 or 4 guys.
  6. Yeah, for those who weren't at the game I may be able to give somewhat of a summary, however biased it may be. The games score is closer than the actual contest was. Two of White Co.'s touchdowns came on busted plays. One was a kickoff, and the guy practically ran through the wedge and went uncontested down the field for a TD. The other TD by JJ Taylor was a busted pass coverage assignment. The guy had no one within 15-20 yards of him, and all the QB had to do was get it to him, and it was off the the races. Hixson's offense struggled at times, but unlike last week, they only fumbled once. Coheleach Holmes had four TDs, 3 rushing, 1 catching. Hixson's defense played hardnosed ball as well. Even when Dell Lewis was in, he wasn't getting more than 3-4 yards a play. Their RB did better on counter trap, than Lewis did. It's a shame to see Lewis get hurt like that, I hope it's nothing too major, but he appeared to be in an immense amount of pain. The final score read 30-21 Hixson didn't make a PAT all night. They gave up a kickoff return touchdown that shouldn't have happened. So 777, I don't see how Hixson was "Lucky". Hixson had maybe 30 fans, you had a packed out side. Hixson had no band, it was your homecoming. Ya'll had every reason in the world to play fired up football. Nobody picked Hixson to win except for Hixson. White Co. is lucky that they didn't lose by 20 instead of 9.
  7. Im looking foward to this game tomorrow. Hopefully White Co's fans won't be too harsh, because Hixson will have only a handful of people aside from football players at the game. Good luck to both teams.
  8. The fact is, that for every great player that emerges from a small school, such as the examples you use, there are many more who never amount to anything at the next level. Like I said earlier, it's all hypothetical. I'm open minded believe me, and maybe if I saw the kid play I'd be amazed. But based on logic, also which I originally said, I will draw the same conclusion. The only way I can change my opinion is if I actually see him first hand.
  9. I see tons of locker room material, thanks Sparta boys.
  10. I'm entitled to my opinion, and outside of Temple my opinion is the majority. This is like the Bj Coleman to Smithson debate. One plays against good schools, one plays against average to below average schools, get over it. I'm not changing my opinion until I've seen with my own eyes. Based on logic and reason, one should draw a conclusion that since he plays against mediocre competition that his stats aren't as impressive as if it was against some of the states best atheletes. Anything else is a lie, now get off my jock.
  11. Nope, and thats a fact. I have seen Atchley play though. That is beside the point though, then you must see every receiever on this list to have a truly validated argument, and then I would have to had seen a truly "great" receiver to compare Skogen to. Don't try to invalidate me just because I haven't see him in person. He plays against teams like the Taft Youth Center. 1A ball is just that, 1A ball, and while he might be talented, you can never prove that hes great until he plays great competition.
  12. Did I say anything about being the best? Nope. All I'm saying is that it's all hypothetical, only logic and reason can hold ground. Ifs and buts won't fly, only the facts. Yes Skogen has the most yards, yes Skogen is impressive, but no Skogen has not proven that he can play against good competition.
  13. Most people don't hate temple, it's just the fact that they try to compare numbers with other players that play much more difficult schedules. If I take easy classes in school and get a 4.0, and someone else takes AP Classes and gets a 3.6. Who is smarter?
  14. Warrior and 7, what's yalls problem? I didn't disrespect White Co., if anyone is getting overlooked it is Hixson. We'll see though, we'll see. EDIT: Please don't use language, even implied or abbreviated. It can make threads get out of hand quick.
  15. Daniel Bullocks of Hixson, defensive captian for Nebraska. In their opener, he scored a defensive touchdown.
  16. I'd love to see that halftime performance.
  17. Riverdale's going full speed over this pot hole in the road to state.
  18. Soddy's QB is improving. Hixson's DBs were in place all night, but that kid was just placing the ball where no one could get it but Atchley.
  19. IMO, ND is NOT as good as Tyner. Trust me, I've played against ND. They are no where near as impressive as Tyner when Tyner is clicking.
  20. Ya'll are 1-1 in the region? Who'd yall lose to?
  21. This is going to be more of a game than most of ya'll are saying it will be. Hixson's loss to a surging Soddy Daisy can only help them prepare for the large linemen at White Co. If Hixson can play some disciplined defense, they might shock ya'll. Their offense is relatively efficient, if their D can hold up, White Co. is going to have a crappy homecoming dance.
  22. Who is number 20 for White Co.? I noticed that he played well against Cleveland but didn't see him playing against Cumberland.
  23. I think MUS has proven themself worthy of my vote. MUS by 10.
  24. Yeah, it will be interesting to see how Hixson travels. Im going to predict they have no more than 20 fans at the game, especially considering that their band isn't even making the trip.
