  1. No, but this is an opinion board and therefore I don't have to. I'd didn't ask you to prove how your rankings worked, I only disagreed with them. Oh and they did beat three of those teams.
  2. orobslliH (1 ABM (2 nwotnamreG (3 eladreviR (4 ymedacA doowtnerB (5 .oC nlocniL (6 ellivyraM (7 egdiR kaO (8 notluF (9 srehtorB naitsirhC (10 Notice: must read with mirror. Haha...Christian Brothers at #10. CBHS would destroy 6 of the teams on that list.
  3. Give up on the past records and read the name of the thread. BEST TEAM IN STATE IN 2003. That would be MBA. No one has enough evidence to argue against that.
  4. Great post about recruiting and scholarships Redtwin. However, I would like to go on record in saying the CBHS did in fact renovate its weight facilties and gymnasium last Christmas to include not one, but two new weight training facilities.
  5. Oh come on Mav, you can do better than that. Try this: be original. Don't confuse riches with talent. In DIIAAA we have both.
  6. South Panola, are they any good? Okay, I'm kidding. They did have one more strong team.
  7. Well, itzme, that does seem to be the growing trend. By the way, Congratulations on that Gold Ball, it proved you were the best team in 5A. That game, however, proved who the best team in Memphis was.
  8. You are entitled to your opinion. Congratulation on a 14-1record. I think the record speaks for itself.
  9. WesVols, I can't find a single problem with your poll. I liked yours Gerry, but it left out Melrose. I guess that can be debated, but overall those two are the best I have seen this year.
  10. Obviously you read about the Germantown game, and were not in attendance. Germantown's only two scores came off a CBHS fumble on its own 5 with a minute left in the half and a field goal that was set up by a missed attempt and a roughing the kicker call. Germantown was never even close in the game. The score, as you correctly stated, was not indicative of the team. We made Germantown look a lot better than they really were. That score could have been handily worse given a couple of eliminated mistakes ON THE PART OF CBHS.
  11. Did someone get on here and say Southaven had a tough schedule? I'll give them credit for playing MBA, who stomped them, but that was about as far as it goes. And of course I'm going to agree that CBHS had the toughest schedule.
  12. Great posts itzme and BigRedDog. DIIAAA is where it's at. The Super 7 teams, with one or two exceptions, beat the best DI schools year in and year out. Toss in all of the stats and titles you want, but none of them will erase the fact that the best three in DIIAAA are the best three in the state.
  13. The quality of football played in IIAAA is unrivaled. MBA=best in the state.
  14. Nice poll Gerry. Still think CBHS should be ahead of G'town, but that's not really worth arguing over. Once again, overall a very nice job.
  15. You know, you guys from Maryville are showing an outstanding degree of class in handling with these posts. I can imagine that the loss was tough, but you had a great year. Congratulations to you guys on all of your accomplishments this season.
  16. Melrose is an awesome team. If Hillsboro beat them, then I can't picture Hillsboro losing this one. Hillsboro 42 MoWest 7
  17. The odds are stacked very high against Germantown. This is basically a home game for a Riverdale team with experience on turf. Germantown has to make a second road trip and attempt to knock off a very good Riverdale team. All this will make it very hard for the Devils, but having said all of this, I think they can pull it out and I'm pulling for them. My pick Germantown 31 Riverdale 28
  18. Well just because they had too many athletes for you doesn't mean they will have too many for Franklin. This will be a very close game.
  19. They do have the best player at EVERY position.....when compared to Houston.
  20. Memphis. 2 lineman doesn't make a big team. And what about speed??
  21. DoubleJJ, I want G'town to win as bad as the next guy, but seriously. Three TD's? No way. And what is all that about G'town's superior size and strength. They don't have an a whole lot of either.
  22. The other player Miami is after is Corey Kizer. He is the reason the Miami WR's coach made the visit in the first place. Many of you guys are misinterpreting the posts on here. Melrose has amazing speed, but their attack doesn't stop there. They play smart football and they are multi-dimensional. You'll see them in the 'boro next week.
  23. I'd post my picks, but redtwin got em down exactly. Good job man.
  24. Good picks guys, but you don't have to tell me about the Melrose football team. I have played against them, and I am aware of their talents and weaknesses. I picked Hillsboro to score 21, but those 21 points could come on a second string defense after Melrose establishes a 35-0 lead. Okay, all kidding aside, I think it will be close, but Melrose's offense is too high powered for me to predict a low-scoring game. Hey, I could be wrong, but that's why it is a prediction.
  25. This is one of the best threads I've seen all year. No trash talking, just scholarly discussion. I'd like to see Germantown win, it being as they are from Memphis. One thing is for sure: this is going to be a great game.
