  1. I haven't been on CoachT in about 2 years, and all I have to say is "agreed". Go Cavs.
  2. I have never seen a playoff win as "nothing special". This is very special to Smyrna. This keeps the season alive.
  3. 28-10 Smyrna with less than 5 min remaining. Game was really close until the 4th quarter, then penalties and turnovers did Cookeville in. At half, the score was 14-10 Good 3 quarters of football, though.
  4. Hahaha, Joslin pulls a Saban and onsides the kickoff. Cavs recover.
  5. I freakin' love this post. lol Thank's sparta boy, I was wanting to say the same thing. Good luck CAVS! Less than 24 hrs to kickoff!
  6. Go Cavs! We've had some heartbreaking close losses this year, NO MORE!
  7. I know this thread is done, but I had to respond. I never said anywhere in my post that LC did not have bad calls on their side of the ball as well. What I DID say is that I am biased and that I was going to point out the two that stood out on the Cavs side of the ball.
  8. Don't be ignorant, that's not what was stated. He was just saying that Cookeville would have had a better shot at winning the game in the 4th quarter.
  9. So the falcons get 4 timeouts in the second half and pull out the win. I don't want to take anything away from the falcons because both teams played an absolute outstanding football game, but what I saw from the refs tonight was an absolute disgrace to football! I am sure there were bad calls on both sides of the ball, but I am biased, and I will throw the two worst ones out to you all who were unable to attend or listen. Bad call #1: Cookeville intercepts the ball late in the 4th quarter at the end of a big drive by Lincoln County. Flag is thrown for unsportsmanlike conduct on the Cavs. It's not that the flag was thrown that ticked me off, it's WHEN the flag was thrown. The play had been dead for, oh I don't know, 3 seconds, and the flag was thrown because Cookeville was giving high fives and stuff coming off of the field. The refs were too trigger happy and really tried to take the emotion out of this game. You can't take emotion out of a game of this caliber, and that was a crappy call. Bad call #2: This one is the KING of bad calls. Scenerio: Cookeville has a 4 and 9 from the LC 36 with about 40 seconds to go in the game, down 10-7. LC has used all three time outs already and has none left. Cookeville lines up for the kick and LC signals for a 4th timeout. The refs, being the geniuses that they are, LET THEM HAVE IT!!! That should have been a 15 yard (correct me if I am wrong there) penalty, and Cookeville should have had a first down at the 21 yard line. Like I said, both teams played their hearts out, and there were a lot of emotions in this game. I do not want to take a thing away from the falcons, because they played great, and I hope to see them again in a few weeks for a rematch, but these refs have to go. Anyone else see this? Congrats to the falcons, and good luck in the playoffs. Cavs, beat WC next week!
  10. Always seems like a great game between these two teams. Looks like FC is having somewhat of a tough year this year, but that doesn't mean they won't show up to play on Friday night. As every week, Cookeville needs to have their heads screwed on right and get the W. Good luck to both teams, but GO CAVS!
  11. Not a problem! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> FYI: You have to show some class yourselves to receive class from me. Oh, and this just in: CCHS has fumbled on their first 3 possessions. Doesn't look like the offense will score this time. Actually make that 4. Listening on the Radio. CCHS offense is the Cavs best defense.
  12. I hope Cookeville puts up 80 on the Jets. Show them that they NEVER WERE "Co-" Region Champs. I will never live that down. Discuss.....
  13. Way to go Cavs! Listening on the Radio. Cookeville leads by 16 in the 4th quarter. Big story is Taylor Richardson nailing a 52 yard field goal! That's right. 52 Yards. Way to go Cavs! Hang on for the win.
  14. Congrats Cavs. Way to hang in there until the end!
  15. Cookeville 2 Lebanon 0 Both teams will have a combined 3 rushing yards.
  16. I agree, squad. I wish that we could get that running game going. It would be nice if we had those boys on the o-line from last year back. We are lacking it up front.
  17. Talk about going back to school. Your corrections will be in bold. I'm so sick of your negative atitude, and what's up with all caps? Go back to school and learn something. You will see tonight. We don't need your support anyway. To all of you doubters out there, I EXPECT an apology tonight after they prove me to be correct, and The WARRIORS are VICTORIOUS. I think that's it. Now, kids, this is why we stay in school.
  18. S-S-S-PA R-R-R-TA S-PA R-TA SPARTA (rhyme's with ducks) WC can't beat the man, Jerry Joslin. He's too smart. Go Cavs. And let's see some fights!!!!!
  19. By the way, good luck to the Cavs tonight. Wish I could join you all in the stands, but it looks like I won't be making it to many games this year with work and college and all. Fill me in, Squad, on what happens if you happen to go.
  20. Why do you waste your time typing all that crap. Get a life, lose the acne, and find a girl. Ignorance on the boards is why I don't post as much anymore on CoachT. It went from good, clean, football discussions two - three years ago, to a bunch of buttholes ranting and raving at each other.
  21. According to John Krupp, the longest anyone has ever been out for this type of injury is 30 days. Worst case scenerio....
  22. He didn't have much to do with beating the braves with his series stats being 1 win 1 loss and a 5.62 ERA. Oh, and don't forget about when he went against the White Sox and had a 13.5 ERA. Regular season stats mean nothing when you get to play in October. Ruth is the greatest player of all time. Had it not been for the size of the stadiums back then, Babe Ruth could have had over 1000 home runs. It was not unusual for a stadium to be 500ft to the wall when he played. And to think Bonds has to juice up to hit it 375 - 400 feet. Pete Rose didn't cheat. He bet, and never against his own team. Plus, he did it as a manager, not a player. He also didn't illegally enhance his performance. All in all, Clemens won't have much of an impact this season. He certainly won't have the numbers he had last season. I would say this far into the season, he may account for 8 - 12 wins for the stros. His ERA was low last year, but so were his number of strikeouts. I still, however, think of Clemens as one of the greatest.
  23. Pujols may be on the 15 day DL, but I am not really that worried. I would rather it be now than October. Records don't mean much to me this year. It's do or die for the Cards to win that World Series.
  24. I don't think that he will be walked as much as people think. Edmonds and Rolen are right behind him. Of course Edmonds hasn't been a great threat this season, but Rolen is on top of his game. I don't think he will be walked much with less than two outs.
