Yep, he was. JCM left bases loaded 3 times. Not one of the Cougars best outings. That was Powell's only loss this year. He also threw a no hitter earlier this year.

I think this is going to be an interesting year for the Jackson teams. With the Sports Plus tournament coming up at the end of this week, we should have some answers on who has the best Jackson team. It seems that the talent is evenly placed this year....no one team will dominate. All the private schools look really strong. JCM, Northside and Southside are all looking really good...plenty of great senior athletes on all of the teams. Liberty for its first season also looks strong. Madison is going to struggle. I think it will come down to pitching and who can stay healthy.

JCM over Gibson County. JCM looked very solid. Daniel Baker pitched the first two innings with 5 strike outs and Will Powell pitched the next two with 4 strike outs and a no hitter. The two Sophmore pitchers Michael Panthopher and Tyler Utley finished the game with only one run earned. Let's hope this continues!

Yes, November is all anyone is hearing....he's doing a tremendous job for the Cougars. Adam was still injured when JCM and Dyersburg met the first time. This game will be completely different. JCM has been on a roll. I think they'll win big this Friday night!

This should be a great game. I spoke with Adam November yesterday at church and he is planning on playing in the Southside game. With Adam back in the line up, I believe JCM will come out on top. In regard to the person that saw the JCM/Hardin Co. game on TV, keep in mind that November was not playing. He was expected to play up until Friday. I thought JCM did a good job of adjusting. It did make the game harder for JCM without him, especially the running game. JCM receivers also had several missed passes. Hopefully that will be corrected soon!This Friday, with everyone healthy, JCM should win.
