  1. You are correct, Fariview beat Huntingdon in the first round in 2002, and Harpeth beat them in 2001.
  2. I understand that for all region teams that the coaches are not allowed to vote for players off of their team. Sounds kinda odd that you can nominate kids off your own team for all state.
  3. In other words, a coach that is playing in the championship game should not stay with his team that day.

    Passing Attack

I agree with the idea that if you run into a team that you can't run on you need to be able to pass. With that said, sometimes you just can't do either against a very good defense. Huntingdon's defense picked off 6 passes while Lipscomb only completed 7. Huntingdon's offense is not one dimensional if the need arises, but if you can run the ball at will why pass? Huntingdon attempted 2 passes in the championship game and completed one of those.
  5. Hey I did find a Lipscomb fan that called at least one thing right. HAHA
  6. We don't care if you are 1A,2A,3A,4A,5A, public, or private. We are coming to win.
  7. Tell me what part of your post I didn't read real good? You said that they had to throw the ball to Beasley the LAST series. I stated that there were 2 interceptions in the 4th quarter and one of those was in the LAST series and I didn't know for sure who they were throwing too so I said that Milan was throwing to somebody. So maybe next time you should read someone's post real good before you reply.
  8. was there many mistakes by alcoa, or did DL just kick that tail.....
  9. Well, when you have two interceptions in the 4th quarter Milan was trying to throw to somebody DUH.
  10. hows it goin big'n(bout time)
  11. ummm, your suppose to be helpin me wit a job if they ever start hire'n up there at EW, but what about those holes that o-line was makin, even me and you could have got through some of those
  12. he has singled out huntingdon players, and their talents all year long, ive heard the saying all my life, and believe in it 100% be sure to back up the crap you talk....i feel sympathy towards all Milan fans, players, coaches, etc...they had a great season and it came down to a great game, but when someone chooses to talk the way he did, and he told us he would take claim to the man behind the name, i fully expect him to hold his end of the deal up......congrats to both teams, heck-uv-a game!
  13. Big H, ive agreed wit ya on many occasions on here, and i just wondered if you have any clue who keeps agreein wit ya, see if i can make this simple, talked about that lick after the game, ohhh yea, hows that job comin along........ but anyways, i would just like to say thanks to two teams, for giving me the most exciting Friday night i can remember.....great win stangs, bring it home next week
  14. well i just saw his first post on the nite, wonder if he'll even consider viewin this thread thriller?
  15. I'm with you Big H, i saw some licks, and several of them delivered by big ole rod, but that kicker we got sure let his energy out on that last play.....
  16. Lewis county had less than 60 yards of offense all night and you think they had any kind of success running the ball?
  17. #19 is Chris Donald, freshman fullback As far as the LC band and fans sitting on the visitors side, I didn't think the band bothered any play whatsoever. The only time we had a false start penalty while the band was playing was our band. I really thought our band added to the atmosphere last night, GREAT JOB BAND. There might have been some LC fans sitting somewhere on the Huntingdon side but not close to where I was and I definately didn't hear them making a scene. I am curious about what plays the Lewis county fans thought their coach should have called; he tried the regular offensive scheme, he tried drop back passes, he tried roll out passes. When the defensive players are getting in the backfield almost as quickly as the football is there is not much you can do.
  18. SHELLEY i believe big h, was putting some sarcasm behind his comment there, b/c a LC fan something to the effect of we would get to hear a real band, and big h was standing up for tha state champs....i dont think any shame was intended through that post......
  19. Well from the way the voting has been going, looks like Huntingdon is the underdog. Whoever brings their "A" game should win this one.
  20. westtn, he wasnt calling him a "kid" he said the Rodriguez kid, b/c he didnt know his full name. Being classless would have been for Terrance to tell the papers he didnt care about the kid, its war out there, like a certain college player did, that was classless. Terrance is a great young man, and an excellent athelete, dont try to down him for actually caring for the players well being...
  21. If two teams from the same region play in the playoffs, the higher seeded team from that region always has home field advantage regardless of which round it is in.
  22. I have been reading with interest this entire scenario. I do have a question and I am not looking to make this a public vs. private issue. If the kid in question had changed schools and was now going to a private school would he be ineligible there? I know there are kids going to private schools that live in other school districts but yet are eligible to play, why should that part be any different?
  23. well, the adamsville game was earlier in the season and at that point you are still trying to get your team to where they need to be by week 10. That game got out of hand quickly, not b/c Huntingdon was trying to run up the score, rather just tryin to give his players some experience time, especially the junior starters. The score on the Harpeth game was not run up, Coach Mansfield pulled the starters, to say here im callin the dogs off let some other guys get some playoff action, but Harpeth left their first string stay in and scored twice on Huntingdon, so Mansfield pulled his starters back in mainly to keep from hurting a underclassman playing agains a senior.... Huntingdon has never been known for trying to run the score up, ask Milan players it happens that scores get out of hand, but its not that your tryin to humiliate the other team, it just happens sometimes.
  24. I agree with everything you posted PapaJohn. The only thing I would add is that Mckenzie doesn't bring their A game, it could be a blowout.
