Well the first several predictions on this thread are just stupid. how will a team like white House that struggled to score 14 against a 1A Joe Byrns team going to score 42 points or even 14 points against a Portland team that only allowed 17 points to a 5A team in Beech. Neither team has been lighting up the scoreboard on offense so far this pre-season... so a more likely prediction would be a low scoring affair. White House may win and continue the winning streak over portland but no way will this get out of hand. should go down to the wire; as a matter of fact, portland may win this game by 7.

will tucker break his own record for yards this season? will tucker break/make new records this season? All the more reason to watch this exciting player!!! i see PC winning the opener if they can hold onto the ball... LC will be the first loss for the vikings tho.

does anyone have a real update on how spring is going in Macon County? Will they still be pounding it with the run or will they air it out a little more since Grace has a cannon? any suprises this spring?

i havent heard this but if it is true, i bet a certain warrior alum from your district will be getting a call. dont think he would take it but i can hear the rumors now.

i dont know much about the South Side but the whole things sounds messed up. if was about his record then it should have happened around christmas break. sounds to me like the administration has someone in mind that they want to hire, hopfully it is not an assistant that has stuck it to him. I will go ahead and be the first to call BS on that post. A young experienced College coordinator, who is currently at a successful playoff school, with aspirations of being a coach at a small highschool that will struggle to make the playoffs, like hickman county? c'mon man! maybe a young coordinator from a small highschool looking to break into head coaching is what you will get.

The job has been open for a while now but no news of what is going on. Who wants this job? Any names coming up in Centerville? any one on previous staff interested in the job? What are the expectations of the new coach?

i have heard the same thing, TCA will be losing one or two other coaches on staff as well to Chester county. i was thinking Robinson at first but i guess they are going away from the current staff.

i dont know much about east hickman other than coaches are always getting bashed on here. you will never be happy with anyone if you dont give the head coach time to build his program. (more than two years) BREAKING NEWS: a great middle school program does not equal a great high school program, they are two totally different things. ms has zero pressure, no region title or state title on the line, maybe a 2 month season, maybe 8 games. there is a reason the middle school coach has not made the jump to high school... he has it made, with an illusion that he has a great program and could be a great high school program... why mess that up by proving other wise. BTW i have never heard of the middle school program nor the coach of east hickman middle school. get behind your coach and see what happens. great programs dont happen overnight.

it didnt matter who the coach was for westy, the scedule and talent of the last two years was against them. no coach could have done better...kelly couldnt win in it either. They are playing portland in a jamboree i hear and if he wanted to play the likes of Hartsville... all he has to do is make the call, i am sure they would play them. he dropped smith county for a reason... he cant beat them. Glencliff is a joke and an easy win so i wouldnt brag about them on the schedule. Macon will win the game and the fight this time around. Sycamore will be the only district win this year, greenbrier will be close but luck wont win it this season. talent will be better but thier defense will be terrible as always in the big games. maybe in a couple of years tho.

This is a good prediction... wc and mtp could swap positions and Cwood would be a team that could sneak up the rankings as well. PC will be 4th in every scenerio... especially if they lose some of those recievers on top of losing a 2000 yard back.

My thoughts exactly, mr. postman1, are you seriously calling another coach overrated... last i checked, macon's "overrated" coach has won a championship, and beat westmoreland... what has you overratted coach done lately?

cocoocop and bbfan, my opinion is not more or less educated than your guesses that White house will win the district when they cannot beat goodpasture... my homework says that WH may be lossing several long time coaches... that usually brings more growing pains. why do you think macon will not be more improved with their returning players and all of their staff back?

UC is only 1 season removed from a state championship. i wouldnt be so fast to count them out of a strong run in 2011.

i think they can beat white house because Macon has a great QB coming back with 3 years of starting experience... add to that a coach that has the players excited about football again. i see them adding to the improvements of last year to finish the season strong and make the playoffs, they will play more physical than white house and win the game. IMO i think they have a winning combination for the upcoming year at Macon county.
