Since my sister graduated, I am a little bit out of the loop. I still go to a few games a month. I look for Jackson Co to be very strong this year if they can stay healthy. Kassidy Allen has had a tremendous summer from what I have heard. Pickett Co has a ton of seniors too, this should be the games of the year. JC vs Pickett co

I heard Clarkrange's point guard transferred, did she go back to York? Also, who tore their ACL, and how long is she out?

Someone from west TN has to be the early favorite, they have brought home the gold the past two years. Would love to see Jackson Co win one more time this year, they have a pretty good team coming back!

I think it was a great move by Macon. I think Larry could groom the Colter lady for about 5 years, then she can take over. Seems like a good fit to me.

01-02 Jackson Co started the year nationally ranked. The went 33-4 that year, all 4 loses were to nationally ranked teams. Shelbyville twice (once by 1 point), #1 nationally Lynwood CA, by 5 points, and nationally ranked Bishop McNamara MD. Won the AA championship for the 3rd year in a row that year. Such a fun year! Those Science Hill teams were incredibly good. So they never won a championship?

Bradford had some pretty dominant teams back in the day.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Yes, Riverdale does not count. I'm speaking of teams that have never won a championship.

. Janet Holt was the Moore Co player, saw her play at Tech. Great player. Clarksville was the other team you are talking about. Both great examples.

I actually just remembered I met Kelly Jolly while she was the Asst. Coach at UTC she came to my house when they were recruiting one of my sisters. What a nice lady!

I was thinking about how good the Upperman girls teams of the late 90's and early 00's were. They got to the championship a couple times, once in Class A losing to Gleason and once in Class AA a couple years later losing to district rival Jackson Co. Any other good teams, that were nationally ranked like this Upperman team was at times, to never win it all?

Such a close game. Kid hit a nice shot to win the game. Clay Co will be back stronger next year.

He was talking about teams out of the Upper Cumberland . We were saying that 09' Clarkrange is the only recent team to come out of 7A or 8AA undefeated all the way to the championship.

That game still eats her up.

McMinn Central has been one of the best AA programs in TN for 20+ years. Surprising they have only won 1 championship. If only they could play the state tournament in their home gym, they would have 10. Best home court advantage in TN in my opinion.

I would go like this. 1. Middleton 2. Clarkrange 3. South Greene 4. Houston Co 5. Pickett Co 6.. Oliver Springs 7. Community 8. DCR Just my opinion after watching every class A game.

Pickett Co will be clear cut one of the favorites to bring the gold back to 7A, just can't see them going undefeated. 09' Clarkrange did it, but it just does not happen often in that district.
