Hey Bill since you did question some of these kids pride and effort I will question yours. How many times in the last week have you gone to work early or stayed late. Are you at work typing on this website on the clock? Pride...you call yourself a fan and yet you get on here and belittle the players and have negative comments about different kids...a lot of pride and sense of ownership in your school and community. It is fine to question a playcall by an adult or the hiring of a coach, complain about administration, etc...but to call out 14-18 year old kids and them playing as hard as they can. How did you know that they could give more. You ought to bottle that unbelievable magic and sell it to the NFL coaches and SEC schools. You would be a millionaire. As far as you paying your money at the gate to see the game, Ill bet the program is really glad you made it to the game and Ill bet you have a positive affect on the program...I know, I know you are giving it all you have and you really take Pride in doing it. Enjoy the game.

Brown bag-you know your my guy....but If the Fults kid is healthy it is going to be a good game. South Pitt looks very young and if they are not strong up front it could be a tough game. I agree that speed is the key and if Grundy can even come close to matching that speed, then maybe they have a shot. Coaching edge has to go to Grundy, you know it and I know it, but it will come down to the players and how well they have been prepared this week. I cant wait to see the score. What is wrong with the older QB. Is he hurt?

Hey Bill-sounds like you are a disgruntled former player who is living in the past and trying to say that these new kids can never live up to the pride exemplified when Bill49 played...huh? I guess you were some sort of All-world player with a tremendous amount of work ethic. So much for the response to Bill...waste of time...oh well to the game. It is good to hear that a new coach has maybe instilled a renewed interest in the game of football in Dunlap. That little town has drastically improved over the years. It has really come into its own since the new road to Chatt. has opened. The facilities are extremely nice for a small home town. I hope that if indeed they lose this game that the community stays behind the coach that they are so excited about and not jump off the bandwagon as they usually do. Its not too surprising because that is certainly a trend in the valley. People love you if you are undefeated, but your are the scumof the earth if you lose a game, and so many people reflect the attitude of Bill49 about living in the good ole days. This will be a very good test for 2 programs on the rise with 2 new coaching staffs. Defense is key!

Brown bag-Good to see a solid supporter of the program going to Junior High games. I figured that it was just a matter of time before Ty Jr. appeared. You need to go see the game when they play Bridgeport. Dedricks brother is also 6-3 and has been dunking since 6th grade. He is supposedly the best to ever play at Bridgeport. Tay is his name. Stevenson beat them in a game the other night, so he must be all they have. Be sure and give me a report. Its going to be an interesting game this week with Pittsburg. Solid test.

How many players on Sequatchie County`s team run under a 5 flat 40? If you say more than 5 you are crazy. I have been around Valley football for 40 years and I have never seen a Dunlap team with any speed, not that Jasper has any. I just find that amazing that you can hire a new coach and suddenly you become faster. The best defensive team will win this game.

How are the big dawgs down in So Pitt doing? I understand that they are 1-1. How did they look against LV? Is the coaching staff bringing the young ones along? How will they fare against Boyd this year? I hope that Coach Akins is in a good mood and doesnt remember Coach Grider blowing people out 75-0 a few years ago. Class act by the way. I still havent heard if the 2 kids that they lost to academics were still in school or not. I think the little RB was a pretty good player. I hope that he gets his act together for the future. Is the Robinson kid doing okay I hope so. Information is appreciated.

Who has the best coach? I heard the guy at Brownsville wasnt much? Any info? Thats what it will come down to with teams with similar athletes!

I have seen more Trousdale County players in college over the past 10 years than Cookeville, Sparta, or Cumberland County. Never much speed to speak of. The quarterback in Sparta a few years back was a good player, and the big running back,defensive end in Cookeville, and the few big linemen in Crossville. I wish that they played. Speed is the name of the game and none of the teams have much, or that has been the case in the past. Furthermore the kids in Hartsville live for one thing and that is getting old enough to play football. If you think that the 5a vs. 1a thing holds water then tell any one of the 3 coaches mentioned to try and get Trousdale County or maybe even South Pittsburg on the schedule and see what they say. Warren County is 5a and one of the larger schools in the are, but you could take them down the road to Dunlap and probably get all you wanted, and Dunlap is not even that good.

Who really cares? They will never contend in the playoffs and everyone in the upper cumberland area all they care about is basket ball. The only real team even close to the area is Trousdale County and they usually would beat any one of the three and they are only single A in size of the school.

How many players does Whitwell have this year? It seems to me like they are on a slight up swing with talent. In the 90s they had absolutely no talent at all to speak of, but back in the 80s they had some talent to work with. Are they back somewhat or what?

It will be your typical Sequatchie Valley game. Good football players, few true athletes, little speed, and great intensity. Seems like the new coach in Dunlap has things turned in the right direction. I like the experience of the coaching staff in Jasper though in this one. Who plays better defense. Whoever it is will win this one.

Are there any teams in the western portion of Virginia that play good football. It has been my understanding that most of the talent in that state is on the eastern side of the state on the coast. For example Hampton, Newport News, and Virginia Beach. That is with the exception of one large school right up 81 called Pulaski Co. I think it is. Info...

Does anyone think that Union City will be looking for a new coach after this season? How good of a support network does the program have, ie community support or quarterback club? I understand that they built an indoor facility a few years back so they must have something. Info is appreciated.

Class act program at Marshall County. Better double cover the receiver or blitz like crazy on the quarterback huh? Should be a good game.

Did Marion County look better than last year and continue the improvements under the new coach and his staff? Were they aggressive on defense and what happened on offense?

Where is Courtney Braswell from? Chattanooga? Has Bibee done a good job in recruiting or what? He is an excellent coach. INFO....

Whoever posted that this is the oldest rivalry in the state is wrong. South Pittsburg and Marion Co. is the oldest consecutive rivalry.

Who is the coach at Union City and how long has he been in place? What is the enrollment of UC?

Vic Grider is the best coach in the state of Tennessee and he will prepare his team to overcome all obstacles. He will improvise and be very imaginative on offense, defense and special teams. The only team he cant beat is Boyd. I still cant understand why with the talent off of last years team but oh well.

How do the middle tennesee public schools`s talent match up with that of say South Pittsburg who I feel has the best overall athletic talent in the state year in and year out in 1A football. Mount Pleasant, Huntland, Collinwood, where do they stack up. Lake County used to have great athletic talent. Any more....comments

South Pittsburg people, how is Coach Grider and his staff handling the loss of the 2 good players from last years team that he expected back. Could anything have been done to save these 2 young men? Are they still in school at So Pitt and will they be eiligibile in the future? Do you think playing such a weak 1a schedule ever hurts you when it comes playoff time? Comments???

What is the roster total for Coffee County this season? Are the going to be as strong as last year or will they be better? Their coach Bill Price did a great job with that program last year. Kudos Coach Price!

Is Grundy's QB hurt? If so you have got to think that Sequatchie would have the advantage. The one thing that the team at Grundy has on their side is the coaches. I think their staff could be one of the best in the area. Opinions??? Ooops I forgot no problem replacing the QB with all the great talent at Grundy. Just kidding DEL.

Did Huntland have any speed?
