  1. Runwild, Creek Wood is playing well right now. They came out of Fairview with a great win against a very solid team. The difference in the game IMO, was Creek Wood tackled a little better than Fairview. As far as Cheatham is concerned, they are very young this year with only 3 seniors as I understand. Coach Finley is a great coach who finds a way to get the most out of his players and talent. From what I understand, a lot of Freshmen are having to play this year. Give those kids about 5-6 weeks and they will be making the plays that will make Cheatham successful. I am sure when adjustments are made, Cheatham will be as competitive as they ALWAYS are. Good luck Cheatham.
  2. It sounds like Harpeth and Creek Wood were exchanging pleasantries last night? Friendly banter is what makes for a great rivalry. It sounds like Harpeth and Creek Wood will now have a spirited rivalry from this point on. Make the best of it and don't ruin it with harsh words.
  3. I can see your point stat, but what is the difference in a Lewis County playing a Giles County, when teams like Overton (1600 students) playing Antioch with over 2000 students who in turn plays McGavock with 2800 students. And they are Region games. Overton an d Antioch have won their fair share of games against McGavock. Also, Red Bank (980 students) played region games against Cleveland (1300 students) and Walker Valley (1500 students). I'm sure there are more examples, but everyone gets the jist of it. Anyway you slice it, it may never be really fair. Find 22 kids and play the game. Good luck to all.
  4. Nah. Just curious as to what is going to happen in Hickman County. I want someone to go in there and be given a chance to succeed. It takes TIME and for some reason in Hickman County, coaches are not given TIME to build a strong foundation, for whatever reason. Good luck to all applicants and to the school system as a whole.
  5. Dyer County has been pretty good for a few years now, I don't know why King would leave to go to East????? Even though Schrenk and NW have struggled, he has a better chance to win in Clarksville than he would at East!!! Tommy Rewis make a lot of sense: He has resigned at Heritage High School in Blount County and he was the former HC at Fairview. He started Fairview's recent run of success. I guess he wants to get back to Middle TN. But East?? Phillips could be logical since he is in the building. I am sure they will take a long, hard look at Harris' mother, excuse me, Harris himself since he is already at the Feeder school of East, Fairview, and Nashville Christian. Should be interesting. The community of East is going to have to accept the fact that they will NEVER be successful unless they leave a coach alone and let him do his/her job. Good Luck to all unfortunate souls (applicants). /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  6. Do do do dodo do do dodo....3 ring circus my friend. Barnum and Bailey's would not even touch this! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  7. Footballking, you're name alone tells me you were just one of the MANY studs Shrenk has had to work with the last 3 years. I beg to differ with you when you say he does not help kids get to college. I have persoanlly been to two different combines where Shrenk who had a "group" (more than 1) of kids there. HE WAS THERE WITH THEM. You are just upset that you did not get to go?
  8. footballking0303, What planet are you living on!? Northwest has NEVER had a strong program. They have only had a few winning seasons in their entire existence. Why are you putting that on Shrenk? We have scrimmaged them the last few years and I would not say: "The school has had so much talent the last three years." As a matter of fact, I think Shrenk has done as about as well as anyone could expect with the talent he has had. Maybe you should look at a higher level of the school instead of the coach. There is a reason other than one particular coach that NW has NEVER been successful over a period of time. This is just another example of how people get on here and bash coaches. I tell you what: Take about $45,000 of your own hard earned money, go to Austin Peay for the next 5 years, volunteer coach for 1 year at a local high school, go to Dollar General store and buy a $2 whistle, then apply for the NW job, then get your butt out there and take over. Get you a dose of it! Until then, quit bashing individuals who are working hard and TRYING to be successful.
  9. Actually, I think she had him in the gogoplata and then reversed that in to The Egyptian Testic...Clamp! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> At that point his rebuff or refusal to conform was futile! I just wish someone could come on here and really explain what in the blue Hades is going on at the triangle of Hwy 100 and Hwy 7. It just appears that there are a lot of similarities between them.
  10. Then why was he hired in the first place! Who hired him? If they are hired, then let them coach!
  11. Couga14, With it being a week 0 game, logically that tells me that DC was looking for an away game and CW was needing a home game? I guess that would give both teams 5 home games and 5 away games. No one really wants a 6-4 situation. If this is the correct info, someone fill us in. It should be an exciting night on August 21, 2009. My guess is that half of Dickson County will be there that night. Good luck to both teams in '09
  12. I think District 11AA will be very competitive. It's teams have not been considered great teams (with the exception to Camden the last few years). But most of these teams have had solid pasts. All these teams have had playoff experience over the years. It should be interesting.
  13. Doesn't he live in a trailer down by the river? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  14. Auburn or Washington. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
