Clinton has seen to rolling since their very tough christmas tournaments, and they should continue to do so. The only way AC wins this one is if CLinton gets caught up in the rivalry and tries to play selfish ball so they get their own glory.. If Clinton plays from the inside out, then AC wont have a chance. AC only has one 6'3 kid (HUmphrey) and he would rather stay behind the 3 point line then go inside. AC's press will not effective against Clintons depth of guards either. I just cant see AC winning this one, but I have been wrong many of times before. Clinton by atleast 10.....

You should never answer the question about playing time except: After the season is over and a parent asks you openly what can my son work on to improve and get more playing time. If MOMMY AND DADDY dont like to wait to the offseason then take you kid home, and start coaching a rec league team which your kid can star on... During the season if their is a question about playing time then the player should be the one to ask it, and in a one on one conversation. Then the coach should be truthful and instruct the kid on what to do. Questions should be asked in the off season, but coaches cannot shut off parents in the off season because in todays world there will be a conspiracy in the school against you.

If you dont like your kids being cussed at (Tacoma) then keep them at home where you can change their pampers for them. Cussing is a part of sports and a part of our society. A coach should never cuss a player in front of stands or anyone else. One on one might be better if the situation is correct. Cussing at a team is alright if it is in the heat of the moment, but this should never take place outside of the locker room- that even means practice. To the coaches that dont want to discipline their players, you are the ones that are sitting in the bleachers come region tournament time. Patting kids on the butt and telling them to get-im next time doesnt work. You have to be hard nosed to be successful as a coach. Just ask players who have played for Jody Wright (Fulton) and Coach Mitchell (AE), those coaches as good as they get and they are up in players grills all the time... If a caoch wants to Cuss then so be it. I never individually cussed a player, but I have let one slip in the heat of the moment, and there has never been a problem with the players responding. If the parents dont like it, then take your kid home, becasue teams can adjust.....

If you never cuss in front of your players, and that one day when you are so fired up one slips out it can really motivate a team. because the team has never heard you cuss before, so you must mean it. I tried to never cuss in front of my team, but when one slipped out they knew I meant buisiness. Excessive cussing should not be tolerated. that is just a sign of lack of intelligence. But a little cussing here and there never hurt no one. Aslong as it was towards the team and not singleing out one specific player....

THERES IS NO NEED TO RUN UP A SCORE, BUT THERE IS NEVER A NEED TO QUIT PLAYING HARD. YOU MUST SUBSTITUE ACCORDINGLY. IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE SUBS WHO NEVER GET TO PLAY TO TELL THEM TO SLACK. THAT ISNT WHAT BASKETBALL IS ABOUT. FOR TEAMS GETTING SCORED ALL OVER.. IF YOU WANT TO STOP THAT THEN PLAY HARD ON DEFENSE AND WASTE SOME CLOCK ON OFFENSE (THERE ISNT A SHOT CLOCK IN HIGH SCHOOL). THE TEAM LOSING HAS TO BE THE ONES TO SLOW THE PACE DOWN NOT THE TEAM WHO IS WINNING. I HAVE SEEN TERRIBLE TEAMS KEEP SCORES RESPECTFUL BY PLAYING HARD DEFENSE. IF THE OUTCOME IS 40 OR 50 SO BE IT. THE LOSING TEAM SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO MOTIVATE THEM AND SHOULD CARRY A BLOWOUT LIKE A CHIP ON THEIR SHOULDER...

Coaches shold have as much power that is necessary to represent their school, players, parents, and hisself in the appropriate manor. If coach says you should change your dress, then you dont have too, but he is probably just wanting his players to be represented in the utmost way. Players must realize on and off the court the reflect their school, parents and coach, By choosing to play sports they are choosing to represtent their school, and that might even mean to change their behaviors on saturday night. Everything they do reflects their team. Even if they dont want it to.. That put asisde, the same goes for the coach. when you choose to coach you choose to represent your players, school, and parents. So your actions should always reflect those of a professional. When you are on the spotlight things appear to spread fast, and poor behavior can hurt you and your school, parents and players.

Coach Mithcell this year is having to teach basic fundamentals that werent taught before and it has been a set back, but with the moving of districts next year Carter and COach Mitchell should be sitting pretty good. Carter is a team that has improved each game and will continue to.. Goodluck to Mitch and the Carter boys..

Last time someone broke the back board they stopped the game and finished the next night at the opposing school, but since it is probably a tourney game, then that will be up to those teams on what to do.... CJ Black was the last to break one and that was on Yarborough and the Cleveland boys..

THEN GO AND SCOUT A TEAM YOU ARE PLAYING. THEN GO HOME EAT A REHEATED MEAL AND FALL A SLEEP WATCHING GAME TAPES, THE NEXT DAY STARTS ALL OVER. THE ONLY NIGHT OFF THEY GET IS SUNDAY, AND BALL GAMES. REFS DONT GO THROUGH NEAR AS MUCH. I DO RESPECT REFS AND WHAT THEY HAVE TO PUT UP WITH, BUT GIVE ME A BREAK IF YOU THINK YOU WORK AS HARD. OH YEAH, FOR THE SUMMER CAMPS. FOR LC, THEY SHOT THE BALL TERRIBLE, THEY DID REBOUND WELL TONIGHT, THAT IS ABOUT IT. THEY HAD 4 GUYS SHOW UP (KYLE, B, VANCE, BLAKE), AND THE REST WERE IN LA LA LAND. LC NEVER GOT THEIR OFFENSE GOING AND IT SHOWED, THAT WAS DO IN LARGE PART TO AC'S PRESS. BUT IT IS STILL EARLY IN THE SEASON, AND I DONT THINK ANYONE KNOWS WHAT WILL BE THE OUTCOME IN THE DISTRICT. IN THE PAST LC HAS GIVEN AC A BETTER GAME AT LENOIR CITY. AC SEEMS TO HAVE TROUBLE IN THE GET GO AT LENOIR CITY, AND THIS COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS BECAUSE LC THIS YEAR IS A TEAM WHO FEEDS OFF EACH OTHER, AND IF THEY GET GOING EARLY THEN IT WILL BE TOUGH FOR AC TO PULL OUT THE WIN. IF AC COMES OUT EARLY THEN IT WILL BE TOUGH FOR LC TO COMEBACK FOR THEY HAVENT HAD ANYONE STEP UP FROM BEHIND THE ARCH AND THIS COULD CAUSE SOME PROBLEMS IF AC DECIDES TO COLLAPSE. The mgaphone rule is understandable, because they are for the cheerleaders only. If you want to use them join the cheerleading team. For single out players there shouldnt be an issue, unless it gets out of hand. When I was in school, the administrator tried to suspend us also from games, so we got all students to boycott the next 2 games, and all of a sudden the ball coach was complaining that we didnt have any fans becasue of them, and from there out they lets us get away with a little more. If you keep it clean then it shouldnt matter, but if you dont address the subject then it will not improve itself....

It depends on if Karns gets hot from outside, they shoot tons of threes, and if they get hot, they can make it tough for anyone to beat them. But Clinton hs a lot more talent, and it is balanced. I look for Clinton to win this one...

Until they go back to only 2 officials, the officiateing will be picky and unpredictable. Since there has been 3 officials there has seemed to be more of a competition for the refs to get their calls in. Lets do it like KY and GA, and let the boys play. Refs should not be as big of a factor as they are becoming.

The only team that can stop farragut is AE and themselves. thats it. AE is by far the toughest prgoram in the KIL, and until someone can prove otherwise I will go with them. For Farragut they have the best talent in the KIL, but the only thing that may stop them is a mediocre coach. Other then that they have all of the tools.. If Blevins from Bearden had Farraguts talent he wuold be state bound.
