I will take Greenbrier by 12. Just like bulldog69 said. They are to physical to let hang around. The only way any team can beat them is to put them away early. I dont know how good they are at playing catch up. But it want happen to much defensive persuit and speed. We are all pulling for you at Sycamore!!! Go Bobcats!!

Congratulations on a huge win over my eagles last night. I have nothing but great things to say about Greenbriers Coaches, Players, and Fans. All very very classy. As a senior player for the War Eagles I know what goes on out on the field, and I will ensure you that no trash talking was going on. It wasn't necessary both teams have a great deal of respect for one another. If there was a team I would want to play my last high school football game against it would definitely be the Bobcats. I am speaking for everybody from Sycamore, "We will be supporting you and cheering for you to bring the State Championship to Region 5-3A. We have nothing to hang our head for. We were there when no one thought we could. It was a year of tough breaks for us but we still kept fighting. I am sorry it had to come to an end but it had to stop some where. Good Luck Bobcats!! Yes Sycamore did it! It was a little scary there for a little bit for War Eagle Fans but obviously never out of reach. Sycamore showed great heart and determenation to pull this one out. Any sport would not be the same without upsets. Now lets see what happens in round 2.

Ok about Cheatham Co. Very Physical Team. They do not quit till the last horn sounds. They have a very physical offense and just simply come right at you on defense(not very physical, just throws you off with all the blitzing). On defense they dont hold back. Their Senior Tailback Sam Reeves is a load. He will not be denied positive yardage every single time he touches the ball. Just some stats: Region 5-3A rivalry Sycamore played Cheatham just two weeks after shutting down Greenbriers stud Roger Herndon(cosiderably the best RB in 3A) to 68 yds. on 18 carries. Sam Reeves and his offense racked up 326 yds. on 31 carries. He will run hard. Passing game: Quote me on this "This Passing game for Cheatham cannot and will not beat you". Cheatham is a running team. You make them pass 2 out of 4 downs you win. They do nothing special, no trickory. Other than HB pass. Which they will do. Cheatham Co. 34 Mackenzie- 31

Sycamore is 6-4. With two losses by four points or less. Lost to Greenbrier by 4(was on the goalline with one play left, didnt get in). Lost to Rossview the first game of the season, lost by 3 (fluke). Lost to Page by 10(6 turnovers). Lost to Cheatham by 13 and that is the only one they actually deserved to lose. They are a 6-4 team. But a good 6-4 team. How good is Jackson SouthSide. I dont have a clue. I know they are very good just how good. Someone inform me.

Sycamore defeated Marshall 31-30 tonight. Garza was a sale out. Sycamore will travel to South Side next week. Marshall will travel to the "forbidden", Crockett Co.

First of all Elliott does not run a 4.5 - 40yd. dash. There is no way. I would give him a 4.9. At BEST! Garza runs a very low 4.6. I think Elliott is very smart and that goes a long ways. Garza is very smart also. These are two very good QB's. Elliott does not make a stupid mistake. Garza tends to from time to time. Passing-Sycamore(better recievers than page) Rushing-Greenbrier/Marshall Special Teams-Page All Around Defense-no question-Greenbrier

I don't know much about 6-3A. I know usually its either Mcnairy, Crockett, or Southside every year, right. I know Crockett has it wrapped up this year. Who is 2, 3, and 4. What are the odds of Lexington beating southside.

The loser of Sycamore - Marshall game will be seeded 4th. Which will make the loser go to crockett. Oh by the way, Cheatham proved they are a good and well balanced team. They will capitalize on your mistakes and before you know it they win. Very good team. They proved themselves. Sycamore made to many mistakes to win, they deserved to lose.

Ok, Sycamore and Cheatham.... lets see. This is no landslide on either side. Neither team will get beat badly. No more than 14 on either side. I am not going to give my prediction until next week. I have seen a good cheatham team play this year as well as sycamore. No doubt a great game. Cheatham has a very talented wide out. Avg. RB, good FB, no need to worry about their QB, not spectacular but some how gets it done. Defense MLB. VERY good. As for ClamClam statement, "Hit Polk and Garza and they will lay down", not true. They are very tough kids. If you think that is all they got you and your team is in for a long night. Sycamore has 4 wide recievers over 130 yrd. mark, at least four RB over 250 Yards. One over 750. That is not all they got. Your team will need to prepare for more than Polk and Garza. Sycamore will need to prepare for more than the stand out players i mentioned also. This will be the best game come out of Cheatham County in several years. Good Luck to both Sycamore and Cheatham County.

My hats go off to both Greenbrier and Sycamore for a hard fought out and well played high school football game. Wheather Shay caught the pass of not they still didn't get in from the 1 yr. line. Nice job on both sides. Very evenly matched game. By the way look on film, this will prove everyones point. When that touchdown was caught and the flags were threw, the refs were to worried about making sure interference was called they forgot to signal incomplete or touchdown. They did neither! Oh well, like I said Sycamore had another shot. They didn't get in. Good luck Greenbrier, I would love to see you all win this region. GREAT GAME! This board is about the Lewis County vs. Cheatham County game right. Let's keep it about them. Not Sycamore not Fairview or anyone else. Right now Cheatham has a very good team to worry about in Lewis County. Thinking about your last two games of the season should be last on your list. Cheatham is not used to this kind of pressure. Lewis lives for this. Lewis has been waiting on someone like Cheatham to give them a race for the championship. In a very close game, Lewis by 12.

Greenbrier is a very solid team. There record can be a little deceiving. They have three losses but against three very good teams, libscomb, fort campbell, white house. Those are some tough teams. Sycamore is a very solid team when they dont turn the ball over. Sycamore has to lose the mistakes as in penaltys and turnovers. They will win if they do so. Sycamore by 13.

The Cheatham - Waverly game just got closer. With two senior starters suspended this game will be as close as Waverly makes it. Take advantage of this opportunity Waverly. Heres your big chance. IF..... IF....... IF......

This post is strictly for Clamclamchowder and his coaches. Do you realize how ridiculous you make your school, football program and your coaches even your teammates look with talking all this trash. Thats what it is, "trash". Means nothing about what happens on Friday Nights. All you do is give people a reason to dislike cheatham co. as a whole. Just think about what you are saying before you say it. I know your happy your school has a winning season for the first time in many years. Sycamore vs. Page promises to be a great one. The top two teams in Region 5-3A. Page is a team with a strong defense and Sycamore is a team with a strong offense. The first team to make a crucial mistake will lose. If Sycamore can lose the penalty's they will win this very evenly matched game 28-24.

Sycamore or Page? Page is a very strong and every bit as athletic as anyone in Region 5-3A. For Sycamore to win this they will need to dominate on defense. Keep Elliot in check. Sycamore is every bit as good as Page. The is no doubt this will be a game of scoring. With Sycamore averging over 400 yards of offense a game in the first half of the season. I think Sycamore rolls for another W 28-24.
