The TSSAA bids the championships out. The city with the highest bid/package receives the title games. Cookeville (TN Tech) and Clarksville (Austin Peay) were the only two cities that bid two years ago. I’m assuming Murfreesboro and Nashville didn’t need the money!

Has anyone heard who has applied?

This game reminds me of the American Revolution. You have the Lake Co. militia vs. the McKenzie Redcoats.

First all the fat people comment probably could have been said in other words but thats just a moral thing. The seating stunk yes it did let the people say that we should have won in region we should have had more tickets. even if we had the extra tickets there would still be middleton fans in that side of the gym. Most of the people there would have porbably fought a person for them heck even probably have to pay to sit in a seat that u already bought. The whole thing could have been avoided like they said at 5. Yeah right people really think of just themselves dont they. they dont take in the fact that they made the students go a half a day to count it as a regular school day people that have jobs. Way to think on this one guys real smart.

must have been at the wrong gym then cause we didnt have fans blocking the entrance to the gym on either side. just cheerleaders and law enforcement and faculty memebers of our school.

Middleton has a few tall guys that play a physical game i expect alot of calls inside the post on a lay up. they had decent shooters kinda look like an off night on threes so not sure. they seem to drive very well. get alot of tip backs and rebounds. but i expect couple guys to get into foul trouble.

I agree with chris there our gym can hold roughly around 1800 give or take a few. there were plenty of seats for every one. and about the middleton seating there were even a few middleton fans in our little section of the gym. also the parking was terrible one women pulled up in a ditch and got her car stuck another person had to get push out of some wet grass and mud. And the people that helped the person get out wanted to get paid for their service and was gona "scrap" (fight ) if they didnt. So much for doing a good deed. That really set a good example for the visitng teams fans.

well Middleton's fans were the same way it would just have been alot easier to have it in bigger gym.

Is middleton beatable? yeah they are beatable they werent that great tonight. The calls just happen to fall there way. And a whole lot of calls were miss when Big Lashon Mays # 40 was getting beat up down low all night and nothing was called. But thats the way the cookie crumples. And on the other Hand they couldnt have pick any worse of a place to have this sub state game. the parking was terrible the seating was screwed due to the fact that middleton had bout 3/4 of LC side of the gym so it was a little student section for us in the stands then they started complaining bout people being to close to the floor and expected us to do something bout it when you are shoulder to shoulder on the floor. it was uncomfortable and could have been moved to a neutral site at least it was just plain out terrible.

I have seen Peabody play they have a good player in doaks but hes strickly inside player. and im a Lake County fan and im hoping Clay county can beat temple.

I would have to agree with what was said in the post earlier. Im an alum from Lake County High School and now enrolled at Lambuth Univeristy were two other students have done the same. But when it comes down to it we get serious about our sports team. Even though the girls Basketball team gets overlooked sometimes which doesnt mean we aint proud of a decent season they put up. Lake county has been know for their sports such as football but that program WAS in declined when i was there until they brought in Coach David Barger and even though we had a 3-7 record he got the ball rolling again with community involvement once again. And i believe that it spilled over into the other sports which is great from our small county. We dont have to many years where we are actually on top of a sport but this year football and basketball were and are on top. So we got to take the opp. to be part of something good hopefully it will be a state appearance.

Well The Gleason Gym was nice i give them their props on the new gym but Lc has better things to do like clean their gym so they can host the sub state game. Lets avoid all the other stuff just hand the game to LC so we can go home and get ready for substate

LC and TP Once again fighting for a championship. What will the outcome be who knows. It will be a good game no doubt about that. What i liked about last night is that Trenton actually had some kind of section doing chants and etc. But their chants were weak and seemed to lack boldness and heart. Has for the Lc student/Alumni section they are bold and full of heart they get to the players on the court quicker and the Lc fans feed off that we love to see them "taunt" or look at us with a shutup look. Both teams need their A games and what ever it takes to keep everything cool and no hot headed situatuions to happen. With that out of the way...
