  1. ALL in favor of me giving out PUGS' identity, just say I!!!!
  2. Was Oneida still missing the big Armstrong boy in the middle from that freak knee injury he suffered against Greenback???????? If so, he can alter the outcome of a game, in my opinion!!!!!!!!
  3. Unless Lebanon comes up with a HUGE upset over OS, the Lady Cats will be in the championship. Lebanon's only win on the season in 8 tries came in RD 1 over Van Buren County!!!
  4. How many basketball players is Alcoa missing at the moment due to the football team being in the semi-finals this Friday night??
  5. As I'm typing this with no idea what is or has happened at Harriman tonight, I'm thinking that OS is probably up by at least 25pts enroute to a 35-40pt victory tonight!!
  6. The Lady Mavs are serving up youth in the bunches freddyg. They play two SRs in Ferowich and Bunch. Outside of those two, 5 sophomores will be served in the form of Forbes, Worthington, Bryant--who had a nice game versus Wartburg, Justice, West--also played decent. There is another sophomore named Burrell who will also play. I believe that Wartburg will be one of the two teams to beat in their region in the end and AC hung in there with them to be as young and green as they are. I really wish that I could remember who did what for both teams. I know AC had times where they really looked like veterans as they did against Webb and William Blount, but....they also have or had their "young" moments--know what I mean??
  7. freddy, freddy, freddy, I thought you were smarter than you are. How many dang times do I have to tell your dumb butt I'm not Stiltner. You'd be shocked as heck to really find out who I am, but......yes, Stiltner and I are friends, but......guess, guess, and guess again!!!
  8. well..well...well---deep subject isn't it??? It does look like I was pretty close in predicting the final outcome of this contest as I said OS would win between 25-30pts and they won by some 29pts, 81-52. At the moment, I'm pretty impressed with myself for making the prediction and the LADY CATS for making it come true--LOL!!!!!
  9. I would like to congratulate the Mavericks on a strong showing in their 2 victories over very quality Webb and William Blount teams in the Hall of Fame Classic at AC!!
  10. I'm guessing that as I make this post OS is probably ahead by at least 15-20pts midway through the 3rd enroute to a 25-30pt victory over Hancock County tonight!!
  11. Based on everything I know--sometimes I wonder as well as what I hear and read I would have to say that the Smith girl (Jennifer Smith) from Oliver Springs is or will be the "best" freshman in Roane County this year!!
  12. I hope Oliver Springs can win it, but... To be the team, you gotta beat the team!! Till then Jackson County is my odds on favorite to win the Gold Ball, AGAIN!!
  13. As I was watching the OS-Alcoa game last night, I kept thinking this is the end of the line for one of these teams and next week will be the finishing touch. I do believe that Lipscomb can name the score next week just as they did versus Sweetwater last season. However, they better enjoy it this season. Why do I say that???? Either the TSSAA will be putting them with privates only or Alcoa will be busy destroying those teams from Nashville over the next two seasons with all of these great sophs!!
  14. Congrats to the Lady Cats of Oliver Springs on this huge victory. Like I have said, Hall will do her thing but she needs help in the form of Hackworth and Company. It sounds as if Hackworth played "big" tonight as did Monk!! How did Wampler, B Lankford, and A Lankford as well as the rest of the team look tonight???
  15. AERoadRunner, I just wanted to congratulate the Mavs and you talk about something YOU DID NOT SEE!! The Mavericks involved in the contest were inside that thing you all call a locker room for the visitors with their coaches before coming out to stretch. I just wanted you to GET YOUR FACTS straight!! Am I for a team from Region 2--of course!! I just happen to be for Fulton this week. But whomever WINS, I want them to beat their opponents in the semi and state finals!!
  16. AERoadRunners, I usually enjoy your posts, but you need to become a little more informed about the halftime stuff before you speak or type: I'll tell you what is messed up---AE doesn't have enough for the visitors to dress is what is messed up!!! It is true that some of the Mavericks were probably out in the COLD--probably 25 or so of them due to the fact that AE has a little crap hole for the visitors to dress--about enough room for 25-30 players plus some coaches to talk and address the issues at the half. So...once again, before you speak GET THE FACTS!!! Good luck to the FALCONS next week!!!
  17. Here is how I see things shaping up: Quarter Finals Greenback over CAK Boyd-Buchanan over South Pitt DCA over Ezell Fayette Academy over Trinity Christian Anyone notice a pattern there: A hint--these 8 teams only represent 4 Regions???? Semi Finals Boyd-Buchanan over Greenback DCA over Fayette Academy Finals Boyd-Buchanan over DCA For all of you Private-Public people, Greenback will be the public champion by advancing the furthest and Boyd-Buchanan will be the overall champion. Answer to the question: These each of those aforementioned games are Region rematches from earlier this season as Regions 2, 3, 5, and 7 are the only 4 with teams left!!
  18. Mark Cunningham has to be the Region MVP. I mean without him, CAK isn't even in the top 6 of the Region. They would have finished behind Greenback, Midway, Coalfield, Onieda, Sunbright, and Oakdale. There would have been no last second "magic" against Coalfield, Cloudland, or Midway, or even a last ditch attempt to pull out a victory against Oneida--those 2 missed PATs are the only reason why CAK hasn't rallied for 4 straight 1pt victories. To me, that says alot about a player!!
  19. There is this guy by the name of Joe Gaddis--I think William Blount should hire him since Clinton apparently doesn't have the "want to" to give him the job. I mean ALL he did at Oak Ridge was "Just Win, Baby!!"
  20. Like I said earlier in the week: special teams and the passing game OS won the game behind the play of their PASSING game!! Rockwood had the special teams play early with the on-side squib kick that set up their only TD, but OS overcame a blocked PAT and FG to drill what was looking like a game-winning 35yd FG 4-ever until that final TD was scored very late in the contest!!!
  21. Anderson County jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead on AE behind Jason Sanders and Sean Mounts. One of the runs was from 80yds out!! AE would rally in the 2nd quarter as AC still led 21-12 at the half behind another Mounts TD run. AEs 1st TD run came a 78yd run by Albert Harris. The 2ns TD came on a pass on 3rd and 16 with 11 seconds left in the half. In the 3rd quarter, AE scored to make it 21-18 on a 4th and 10 pass into the endzone from the 19. With just a little over 4 minutes left in the contest, Harris broke off another 61ydr to put AE on top for good at 24-21!!! Nice job to the MAVs on a great season, you guys have absolutely nothing to hang your heads about. You all left everything on the field tonight!!!
  22. Here it goes: Anderson County will down Austin-East Knox Catholic will fall Lewis County bites the dust
  23. You know---I've been thinking the same thing pretty much ALL day since I saw someone asking for the schedule earlier today---LOL!!
  24. Ladies and Gentleman, This weather thing--it is way OVERRATED!! It is like the urban legen--way overblown!!! Yes, yes, it will keep the "fair"weather fans at home, but....that is about ALL the weather is going to affect on Friday night. The players, if stretched and warmed properly, will not really what the temp is or at least I never did when I was on the field--LOL!!!!
