  1. You have to give credit to Union City because they do play in the toughest district in Single A, and perhaps the entire state regardless of any classification. You also have to remember they went to Middleton and beat them in a sub-state game on their home floor Middleton is a legit top 5 team in Single A and probably all of West Tennessee.
  2. Waynesboro Middle School in Waynesboro, TN has a Jr. High camp which usually begins the Tuesday after Memoriaol Day and runs through Friday afternoon. This camp is for girls and boys.
  3. Did you forget Summertown committed two fouls in the last minute with a two possession lead, inclucing an "and 1" on Hammack on a lay up with under 20 seconds left? Other things happen in a basketball game which determines the outcome besides what happens on the last series/play of the game. With that said, Summertown did a great job of stormig back and taking the lead with about two minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Great Game by two very good basketball teams. Klinghard was a man in the second half.
  4. One name that comes to mind is Rick Rice @ Perry County. He used to run it alot at waynesboro. He does a decent job with it. The best I have seen in the last couple of years would be the current waynesboro staff they really did a good job against DCA with the veer package. I think Cumberland is running the split back veer. You could also try ebay under offensive playbooks or football play books.
  5. I don't think Keaton is a realistic option. He couldn't coach his way out of a wet sack.
  6. 4NashPrivates Why don't you take the money your daddy is giving you for fraternity dues that you are going to spend on Pizza for Mount Pleasant football and donate it to your Private School Alma Mater in your own honor. I am sure your vanity and pride would appreciate that. In fact, I bet you have an alumni scholorship named after you for your integrity and compassion toward all human beings. I am sure you are making that academic institution proud of their product in you. Congratulations, 4NashPrivates! Good Luck at the Keg Party at the Frat house This week. Oh, my fault, you probably still live at home with mom and dad and attend a prestigious Junior College in the Big City such as Nashville Auto Diesel College or Nashville Tech. "Let's put them in their place!"
  7. I would really like to see : Collinwood Perry Co C.A. MT. Pleasant Wayne County Cornersville Chapel Hill And Zion if they ever decide to play anyone I don't know the best way to line the others up. When I was in school we were in districts: Wayne County Collinwood C.A. Mt Pleasant Spring Hill The Top two went on and faced the Duck River Group Moore County etc.
  8. When will the T$$AA present their new set up?
  9. We all know that would not be Coach Goodwin's style. Coach Goodwin is considered one of the members of the "Good Ole Boys" club of coaching. He would never do something like that. He would play his top players and get as much as he can get. Don't think so? Watch the Davidson/DCA and CPA/DCA game. Oh yeah, check out the FRA/ DCA game as well. He must be a graduate of the Ezell-Harding/Coach Smith School of Football. "Get All You Can" DCA. Must be trying to secure your BCS ranking. I say all of that to say this. You cannot go by game scores of common opponents to determine if or when you can "pull your starters". Turnovers, missed tackles, bad field position, and bad breaks can all have factors in in the outcome.
  10. Easy, easy, PCgod. You guys haven't 3 quality wins in two years, while WCHS has 18 wins in the same amount of time. Besides, I heard through the grapevine that your current freshmen and sophamores were played to a tie in a scrimmage with a very average Waynesboro Middle School football squad about 4 weeks ago.
  11. If the recruiting season goes well, Wayne County could make some noise again.
  12. CAN ANYONE ELABORATE ON THIS J.V. GAME LAST (MONDAY) NIGHT? I HAVE NOTICED THE PERRY COUNTY FAITHFUL HAVE BEEN RAVING ABOUT THIS MATCH-UP, AND I AM JUST WONDERING HOW THE VIKINGS HANDLED THEMSELVES. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE SCORES/INFORMATION ON THIS GAME?
  13. Greetings, all. It has been a while since I have been around coacht. My kudos to all the teams who have advanced to the final 8 at Murphy Center. How about 2 representatives from district 12A in the state tourney. Looks like this was a very strong district this year. Summertown finished with five district losses, but turned it on the last three weeks and have shot lights out in the tournaments. I know both of these coaches, and they both deserve a chance at a banner, as well as their players. Good luck to Perry Co. and Summertown next week; represent the district well.
  14. Well, well. It looks like things finally caught up with the boys from the "wood". All the talk about Murfreesboro and Clinic Bowl, not to mention a re-match with Ezell-Harding just came to a screeching halt on your home turf. I was not at the game, but I bet CPA out-blocked and out-tackled the Trojans on just about every play. This is the secret to Class A football. I watched CPA totally dominate the Wayne County players last week in Brentwood. Teedog65 and myself thought they would give Collinwood all they could handle. But 31-6 on Ward/Victory/Rich/Green night at their house? Looks like Coach Statom and his staff will definitely be home for the Thankgiving Break this year. I guess he didn't get a chance to run any late-game scoring drives to totally put this game away tonight. From the scoreboard, it looks like he couldn't put any scoring drives together. Congratulations to both teams for outstanding seasons. I believe this game proved which team is the better football team. WESHUDD HAS SPOKEN!
  15. Helo, everyone! Good to get a chance to post a message this week. According to my sources and the stats, it looks like the quarterback from Cascade should be a finalist for Mr. Football in Class A, along with Mr. Ward. The cats made this guy look like a million bucks last friday night. I think he burned everybody at least once in the back 6 defenders for Waynesboro. I am just guessing, but I bet he had the best pass protection hr had all year, because the front 4-5 defenders couldn't get any pressure on him. The cats have had a rough two weeks, and they are staring Collinwood and a visit to Ezell-harding for the first round of the play-offs right in the face. Time to reach deep, Cats, because your character will be tested more than ever the next three weeks. Teedog 65 and myself will be on hand for the Collinwood game, so play hard! WESHUDD HAS SPOKEN!
  16. Hey, vicfan59, you must be Caleb C. of the wildcats. I would have to agree with you that coach Crews is a great coach and an even better person. I have had the opportunity to talk with him several times and he is always talking positive about his players and would do anything for them. He is a no-nonsense type of coach, and his players tend to show this quality on the field. He has done some great things in Waynesboro, and things are looking good for the wildcats in the next few years. Coach Crews will be the first one to tell you that is assistants (Nicky Dixon, Rick Pierce) should get most of the credit for their success. Hey Caleb, do you have a chip on your shoulder or something? Everytime I see you get some playing time, you seem like your are trying hurt your opponent or take a cheap shot instead of making a play. Play the game, or you will get "bling-blinged" out of the game by the officials and also sit two more games because of the suspension. WESHUDD HAS SPOKEN!
  17. Hey, everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable week-end. Teedog and I are making big plans to attend the Wayne county-Cornersville game this Friday night. The word I recieved about last week's game was Wayne county sputtered in the first half and was leading 6-0 at intermission. They seemed to get things together in the second half, according to the stats. I also understand they had a few ankle injuries to two or three starters that could be problematic for the wildcats in the following few weeks. I would have to agree with Wildcat7 about putting 4 quarters together to compete for four quarters from here on out. They have three quality opponents on their schedule, with two of them being undefeated (Huntland, Collinwood). It is getting close to winning time for these teams as far as the play-off standings go, and one bad half could be costly. Cornersville could give the Wildcats trouble this week at their field. Thy have been sort of embarassed the last couple of weeks, but are getting a couple of key players back that could make a difference. The Wildcats could be in for a long night if they play another first half like they did last Friday. They might not be so lucky this time and could be down a couple of scores at half if they are not careful. Take care of your business, Wildcats, because you are in a great position for the post season. Play solid football and things will take care of themselves. Teedog and I have high expectations of Wayne county and we are expecting total domination in all three phases of the game Friday night. WESHUDD HAS SPOKEN! p.s. good luck to the wildcat golf team this week at Murfreesboro.
  18. Well put, wildcat22. Many schools that are small and have a limited student body base to obtain athletes have dry spells at different times for their programs. Many small public schools don't have great athletes in every class every year. People like Jonathon Ward , Jacob Victory, and the Green kid don't come through Collinwood every year. Moore county has had some outstanding atheltes over the past 10 years. Wayne county has had their share of athletes over the past 10 years. Mt. Pleasant, Huntland, Cascade, Cornersville, and the other schools have had players that are difference-makers in games before, but they don' have players like that every year. Also, things like eligibility, family problems, jobs, and lack of interest also gets students away from athletics. This includes all sports, not just football. I have seen other things keep good athletes from playing basketball and baseball at small schools. Another thing people don't realize is many of the same kids play all the sports at the single A level. Burnout often occurs in these athletes. So there are several factors that can hurt football programs, so quit blaming coaching staffs for all the problems associated with football success. WESHUDD HAS SPOKEN!
  19. Greetings, all. It is the one guy you wildcat fans love to hate. I have to say I was impressed with the effort of the Wildcats last Friday at Mule Town. Overall they handled themselves well in the less-than-perfect conditions at CA. With the exception of a couple of unsportsmankike conduct penalities and two slips by a Wildcat cornerback, they proved to everyone they were the ssuperior team that night. I have to give some props out to Drew Turman, who played excellent during the times he got touches, which were few and far between. I think he only had one play for negative yards (sweep left). The reason I bring that up is because Drew made many of the Wildcat defenders miss by cutting the ball back against the grain. I am sure the Mt. Pleasant coaching staff (who were in attendance) saw that and will preach to their backs to try and do the same. It seems to myself and Teedog65 that the wildcats overpursue and miss more than their share of tackles, so that has to be encouraging to Mt. Pleasant. Mt. Pleasant always seems to play at their best against the wildcats, so they better not overlook the tigers this week. I am sure Wildcat7 speaks of the 36-0 beating Mt. Pleasant put on them last year at Mt. Pleasant, so unfinished business is on their minds. Be sure to play the game, wildcats, and don't be so consumed with revenge that you forget to do little things and take care ofthe scoreboard. Good luck to both teams this week! WESHUDD HAS SPOKEN!
  20. Yeah, whiteshoes. What is your take on this week's action? You have been laying low this past week, probably because of your week off. Running out of smack to talk? Hard to stay positive when things are coming apart at the seams from the inside.
  21. I think you are right, blueboy. This is the best match-up of the night in this region. One would think it could be a defensive match-up, but turnovers and bad field position could turn this into a high scoring affair. There are some bad personal feelings on the Wayne Co. side because of a transfer to Columbia Ac. last year, and this could be a motivating factor or a distraction. It depends on how Wayne county handles it. My opinion is it will be a distraction based on the posts on coacht this week. We will have to wait and see. Teedog65 and myself are going to venture down to Mule Town and watch this one. Another potential good match-up in this region is Cornersville and Huntland. This could be a defensive war that could go a long way in determining play-off spots. Also, don't forget CPA ventures into the public school realm tonight and has to to travel to Jo Byrns amd play a good team. I know this post is about Region 6A, but a lot is riding on the outcome of that game in their region for playoff spots, which affects Region 6A in the post-season. WESHUDD HAS SPOKEN.
  22. I want to hear the excuses, uh, i'm sorry, reasons whiteshoes has fo the deterioration of the Baby blue natio's fall fro the elite. Sure, Collinwood is great, but losing to the other foes is unacceptable. Come on, whiteshoes, talk your OVERATED game now. I'm listening.
  23. Why all the hateful talk from the wildcats? I don't know who you are referring to, wildcat22, but I think I know who you are. You are the left outside linebacker, correct? I thought so. I have told everyone I am from Nash-vegas, and I still live here. I am just a huge fan of mid-state Class A football. I am glad you guys stuck it to The Baby-blue Raiders, it has been a long time coming. They are still talking smack about that game and C-wood this week. I don't remember blasting the wildcats, but I am smart enough to realize not to get on this site and blow smoke up someone's anus about how good someone is. I don't want to eat my words. I do think Wayne Co. has a legitimate shot to win, but they must execute every play and not miss a tackle or an assignment, because this Fletcher guy is a Game-breaker. Good luck to both teams tonight, and Wildcat22, take care of your home turf, it is a big advantage.
  24. I have 2 words for Wayne County fans: DaVillian Fletcher. He is back for his senior year, and this is his first full week of practice.
