I am sure, based on irishdad's comments, that he is okay with it but taking calls for someone named pinU46, I don't think so. But then again, maybe he would. Keep us updated on the success of that call.

Okay, Coach, are these guys who say you have a mystery strategy for not wrestling your full team, like at Soddy's tournament, correct. Or are they way over thinking how you handle you team?

Walkenvol, Thanks for the details, I did not know them before reading you post. An observation that was made by another posted was that there was some kind of mystery stategy being deployed by McCallie. Do you agree with that? Or is that a bunch of hype for people who do not know?

Best, you may be right. I am not sure. I wonder if in the McCallie tournament that the McCallie team always puts forth it's strongest effort. I think the answer yes, they put their very best available out on the mat. Now, I wonder, when you have another strong program in town (Soddy) having their tournament, why you would not give your best effort their as well. I believe Soddy goes to McCallie and provides some credibility to the strength and competition of that tournament. In other words, giving back the same respect in order to maintain the reputation of Soddy tournament. Again, not sure why they did not field a full team, but in the same city with coaches and wrestlers knowing each other so well, it does not make complete sense to. I am sure there is some strategy in play that I am not aware of. But mystery of who you have to put on the mat, hmmmm. You would think that even I could figure out where a team is currently wrestling their guys. If that is true, then wrestle those guys where they have already been competing. And you still keep the mystery of .....well of whatever.

Walkenvol, thank you. I was not aware that McCallie did not field a whole team. What weight classes did they not compete? And why? It does change my questions with that information.

this weekend the results of the top 5. No 5 Soddy places first over no. 2 McCallie No 3 Father Ryan place ahead of No 2 McCallie No 1 Bradley beats No 5 Soddy in Dual match No 2 McCallie beats No 4 Baylor in a Dual match I am wondering how the above stands up in the rankings? Does Soddy not deserve a better ranking based on this weekend? And secondly, why is Father Ryan ranked behind McCallie as well, based on this weekend? Only TNRanker can answer what criteria is more weighted in regards to dual victory vs. tournament results. Just wondering......

I think that Tanner Johnson deserves some time about his effort as well. Fuller really did hang with a proven champion, congrats to him on his evening.

Sorry Coach,,,,but I am just having fun with you. But if you go to the state duals, don't you already have a plaque for winning at the region level? If so, put that in you trophy case. Visitors to my house ask about the mountains of trophies that are in my boys rooms, and even they say that most of them mean nothing because of the politically correct way of giving awards to every team and kid. I will take it more easy on my comments, I promise. :usa: edited the spelling,,,,it was bothering me. lol.

Kinda reminds me of the kids soccer league,,,,,,everyone gets a trophy.

Dear Xander Zone, Even though I had promised Best of the West to never respond to such an out of touch, emotional (and as snobhater put it) bobble head, I must break my promise since you addressed your post towards me. If you think that was a bash on officials, please get someone to help with the big words that I used. Good, did you find that person. Now, I suggest that someone use the correct channels if they want something done about an official. The channels are there. I disagree that some "must" ref a match to be critical of a call, they can claim it was wrong without having to go on the mat. Again, not bashing the officials on here. I have no complaint about last nights job of officiating at SD. I did not lodge one in my previous post. It is not practical that every fan gets out and officiate a match. Be real. But, thanks for listing your wrestling resume on here, again, and again. We get it.

I wasn't there (wish I would have), but perhaps you should consider being an official. If not, don't judge. Perhaps you would be willing to add/donate an extra $ TSSAA supplement to officials to attract even more capable talent so they will not be spread so thin. Perhaps, we can all have more adept officials available for these intense and complicated battles with more TSSAA incentives available though donations like genuinely concerned fans like you. soms Sommers, Cobra should be able to comment on how he felt the refs were doing even if he does not want to get out there and do it himself. Being able to tell if it was called correctly does not require a fan to get out on the mat and ref himself. Constructive feedback through the correct channels is what is needed. With that said, saying it on here won't change it, but that is not really what the board is for anyway!
