  1. I think Farrow was on a different Cyclones team.
  2. Guesswho? - How about the Tanzi kid. I hear he is a real player. Who does he play for in the summer?
  3. Farraguts field is nicer than Ridgelands hands down. mctigerfan - I can't stand the misquitos at Red Bank.
  4. Jones plays centerfield for the owls, who played it in front of him for the cyclones? I agree hard to compare players from different positions and their teams use of them.
  5. Ooltewah started six sophs against Walker Valley Tuesday night. John Howard, Zack Woods, Tim Markum, Kyler Burke, Hunter Hydas, Blake McDade. I think all will have good seasons. Time will tell if any will make a big impact this year.
  6. both are very tallented. Jones got alot of attention last year while scouts were watching Adam Trent pitch. I think he will do well if he stays healthy and continues to work hard. Just a JR. he has another year to continue to get better. Wilkes has surprised me as a pitcher, (I don't think he throws 98) I never thought he could control his pitches. However he did a great job pitching last year. There is not a better SS in town. I still think his attitude will cost him somewhere down the line. Not a slam just an observation. Good luck to both.
  7. His brother is a soph. And a good one at that.
  8. I have heard McCallie, East Ridge, Cleveland, Central, Walker Valley, Boyd, Rhea, are all scrimmaging at Soddy this weekend, Friday and Saturday. Can anyone confirm?
  9. Brainerd willl defeat the Owls on their own home court. Brainerd is still a notch above the rest of that district. But I wish the Hooters all the luck!!!
  10. Ryan is a real good centerfielder. I haven't seen anything impressive about his pitching. He was not an All region football player either. In fact he was hurt most of his Soph football season.
  11. Tanzi from McMinn County. Cody Green from Baylor.
  12. Wilkes was all-state or all-region?
  13. I agree Grad, ANOTHER Stupid rule.
  14. Vaughn a JR? and Alexander a Soph? Good for both those guys. What was the score?
  15. Are there any returning all-state or all-region players returning this year to Chattanooga area schools?
  16. I agree Lookout Valley is very nice, Coach Dinger and Company take good care of it. What kinda team do they have?
  17. Playing time. He wasn't getting any at Ooltewah last year. He pitched a couple of times, but I guess not enough.
  18. I have seen Ryan Wilkes pitch and play SS. He is a very good shortstop, maybe the best in Chattanooga history, but he does not throw 98. I can say this I wish he could just play ball and keep his mouth shut. Everytime I see him his mouth is spewing obscenities Speaking of Farrow, how can he be eligible? Did he move or another one of those famous address changes. Maybe that should be a whole nother thread.
  19. Playing surface Ooltewah is fine. They just added alot of dirt to the infield in the off season. The sun setting behind the backstop stinks, the pitcher, 2B, SS and centerfield have a hard time seeing the ball coming off the bat and catcher throws to 2B. i like Soddy's field the best in this district. Then Ooltewah, Central, Red Bank, and Brainerd bring up the rear. Want to see a nice field....... Faragut. I haven't seen a better field in TN.
  20. Let us know the low down on Wilkes. I hope he has the grades to qualify. It would be ashame it he doesn't.
  21. Who are these big sticks? Alex Vaughn I know, he is a very good player. I don't know of another proven hitter on that team.
  22. Why are the numbers down in Soddy? Big School, Good Coach, Nice park, Etc.... Feeder schools (Loftis and SD Middle) have been down W-L record past couple of years from what I hear.
  23. Who does CCS have coming back? It better be more than Hindman and Scott.
  24. Vaughn from Soddy is a solid catcher. Fabry and Cofer from Red Bank. Cofer has great hands and he is a heady player. Smalley from Hixson. He will be among the best pitchers in town by seasons end. Jones, Loy and Higdon at Ooltewah. Higdon will also be among city's top pitchers by seasons end. Loy maybe the best catcher in town if his bat stays strong. Ryan Jones goes and gets everything hit near centerfield, good arm, hits and runs well. Turner from Walker Valley. Great hands, very solid player. Charles Williams from McCallie. Good player also.
