Very impressed with the play of the Mustangs early in this season. both side of the ball the players look to be playing with alot of spunk. Special teams play helps the team get the field position the mustangs needs to keep scoring. I like the way the free kick goes into the end zone. The way the fans support those type of plays. That keeps the other team on their end of the field. Mustangs fans way to support the players,coaches,cheerleaders and the band. This town is going to enjoy the winning for a while for all of the young players are showing bright things at all levels. High School,Jr.high and the HYFL players.

I left the scrimmage between Huntingdon and Perry Co. at Dark and it was tied. Neither team could stop the others offense.

The Middle School came along way this past year and the HYFL has some very impressive young men that played this past fall. Skilled players that Johnny Ray Pearson and Scotty Pinson used in the Wildcats offense or single wing. Get the ball in the skilled players hands and good things will happen. Nothing wrong with running the same plays but in this age and time with videos and breaking down game films and players size you can't run off tackle every play. Pass the Ball run the ball and block,block,block.

Not a upset. Henry Co. plays the same ole teams from clarksville and beats up on them but when they have to reach out and play other schools out of their Region they drop. Liberty and now Hendersonville. got to start playing tougher teams in the future if you want to advance in the play-offs Big county like Henry Co can't win the gold that's funny

Way To Go Tigers went to the bethel youth football Jamboree saturday and the young tigers looked good. they will help out in the years to come.

Was a the Huntingdon Jamboree friday night. I was looking at the Henry Co. Lineman. #67 Schoolfield is a man out there. He really looked good doing his blocking. Real big and strong looking.

If it is time to reward an assistant then name who you think should apply or get the job. Here are the guys on staff that I know. Norman - been here a long time, Does he want to apply? Puttman - runs the defense and we all know the defense has been good, Does he want to apply? Hodge- not for sure when he got here, Does he want to apply? Curd- again not for sure when he came ( I think with Gaddis), Does he want to apply? Thompson - been here a long time also, Does he teach? Can he apply? Hudson - Logical choice I guess, Does he want to apply? Harrison - Does he teach? Can he apply? Wyatt and Muench going to North Carolina Who do we reward? Please let us know. I am for rewarding hard work and success, but the question needs to be answered are any of these applying???? What about the other 18 stand arounders. there are 24 so called coaches on the HC sidelines. Gaddis knows the level of players that Hc has had the last couple of yr is dropping off and no better time to jump than when the ship is sinking.

Huntingdon lost to big sandy to start the season. Short handed since the football guys came on late. Now Huntingdon is strong and show be a good match up with any Single A team in West TN. Senior lead and run the floor well.

Now, as for the play, I was there...the call was.....DEAD BALL FOUL...After the play.....unintentional face mask. The rule book states.....there would be a 5 yard penalty against Union City from the spot of the foul meaning that Huntingdon was still one ( 1 ) yard away and the ball goes over to Union City. The RULE States. If the call would have been during the play, the foul would have been marked from the line of scrimage. Check the book again. I know. Then, there was NO face mask AT ALL. The coaches and event eh ref said he made a mistake. From there , all heck broke loose. . All DEAD Ball Fouls are 15 yards ( not 5 yards )
