University High won 4 - 1. Ended up playing the game in Morristown at Sherwood Park due to weather. They will face Unaka today.

They play their district championship today and if Unaka wins they will play again tomorrow. I don't think they are playing a regional due to lack of teams - not sure about this. But article in paper stated the coaches didn't want to go a week without playing so they postponed the district final until this week. Both team are pretty good - good pitching and each are hitting the ball well.

Congratulations to the Unaka Rangers on their seventh straight District title under head coach Mike "Acie" Ensor. Great job guys! Good Luck in the Regionals! And Congratuations to Chad Lewis on his signing with King College to play at the next level of baseball, way to go!!! But, hopefully you guys aren't finished yet.......

KING - I'm sorry you feel that way about my "lame Kiss-Up" posts. I try to offer encouragement and praise instead of tongue lashings. All of Carter County and athletes in general deserve our support but I'm sure you don't agree with that. It's a shame we're all so "Pathethic" and constantly want to bash and rant and rave. I reply because you reply, isn't that the way it works? Your posts are the reason people are hoping (NO PRAYING) that Cloudland gets everything they so richly deserve. You may have dominated during your time but that is long gone and forgotten. There are alot of things I could say but someone needs to be the adult and it's definitely not YOU! Don't worry - I won't be replying to any more of your posts - good or bad.

Unaka won by 1 run in extra inning but I don't remember the exact score, something like 3-2 or so.

King - You know that old saying "What goes around, comes around." You might get more than you bargained for, don't you think Cloudland should at least play a game before you talk of how they are going to thrash everybody next year???? Didn't they go out in the first round last year????? and blame all the teams you played and beat scoring 60 - 70 and not being able to play the starters. No matter what you say, Cloudland lost talent and leadership with the graduating class as well as the coach that got them there.

It also takes a small mind to get on here and constantly refer to past football games and if you notice he (The King) is the only one that keep bringing this up. "Wait till Football", well, I guess we'll see whats, what come August now is baseball whether it be a "MAN'S SPORT" or not. Good Luck Rangers!

I don't know you or your team but your story is a sad situation for a senior that loves the game. Your coach needs to take a long hard look at his beliefs and attitude. It's sad that it came to this and I hope you get to play again, maybe at the next level. No one person can be blamed for a whole season, it takes a team to win and a team to lose. Sorry for your loss and hope things get better.

Good Luck Landers! It will be tough to fill the loss of a head coach of many years as well as the talented seniors.

You also have to remember that since HV has now beaten Unicoi, this may give them the confidence they need to continue to win. Good Luck with the rest of the season.

Your a good one to talk KING when it comes to smack and bash. I thought you posted that you had turned over a new leaf last year after all the trouble that came about. Anyways, Good Luck Cloudland with your season. Football is done and gone and so is basketball and this is a Baseball thread - a whole new sport and season.
