  1. Dude, yellowjacket21 is not Jim. My sources tell me Fairview will at least stay down in 2A for the next classification period, but after that will move up to 3a. Cheatam will move up to 3a. Fairview has had a increase in freshman classes the last two years and continues to grow, so there move up wouldn't surprise me.
  2. who is jim? i know it isn't yellowjacket21. If rumors are true, Fairview has lost a three year starter to a great opportunity in another sport and also lost a running back that springboarded them into the playoffs last year. True there is only one ball but losing two athletes like those will hurt a team like Fairview where depth has always been a problem. Saying they aren't miss is far from the truth. You have to move on but players of that caliber will always be missed, especially when one of them was pound for pound the strongest kid in the weightroom. They should be strong at the QB position, with a great athlete in Clint Bogle under center. Bobby Martin should have a solid year in the backfield. Also look for Zach Walker Cole Cassidy to get more carries. With the new offense put in and lack of knowledge of recievers and new implemented Tight ends, the passing game I believe will continue to be the weak point in the Jackets offense. The o-line is also a question mark after losing two four year starters and another great senior lineman. Defensivley I am not sure what the team is running, but their D-line and Linebacking corps should fly too the ball. The secondary is depleted with two of the prvious stated starters gone. Martin will be looked on two provide great corner coverage. The kicking game will be stronger this year as Eric Gasieki continues his career. It is still early on in the summer to judge the potiential of the Jackets. I believe they have a chance to contend for the region but as stated before they lost two very significant players that would of been major contributors on offense and defense. Fairview has always had problems with depth and that may be their weak point this year as well.
  3. Fairview still has wooden light poals at our football stadium. Turst me Page and Fairview both get the short end of the stick when it comes to athletic facilities. If you don't agree with that then you are wrong. Only reason Fairview got a new concession stand was because Page needed a new one and of course it was Page colors. So the booster club had to paint it. The bad thing about the concession stand was they tore the old one down at the beginning of the season and we had to make do with little tents all year. Shows you how smart the county is. Fairview got lights on the baseball field three years ago, so it is now a county field but the county will not come out and take care of it like they do Cheek Park. Why can't they just give us the supplies? Fairview has been just as competitive the past couple of years as any public high school in Williamson Co. Don't complain about the rankings, they are based on how you do in your prospective classes, everyone knows the higher the class the better the team.
  4. Anyone know how Joe Hudgins from the West team played tonight?
  5. The new school will be in Williamson Co. I see Independence doing just as Ravenwood has done so far. It is hard for a team of freshman and sophmores to compete day in and day out in that tough district. They will win games because of coaching and youthfulness but don't expect big things out of them for about four or five years.
  6. That's baseball folks, you guys act like you have never seen this happen before. Just shows the intensity level down there in Memphis. There shouldn't of been anything done if no one threw a punch, it's just baseball. I bet each team recieved a warning and they played on. Goodpasture being a christian school should not be brought up into this situation.
  7. Cry me a river, build me a bridge, so you can get over it. You lost, good teams will overcome challenges that they are faced with.
  8. Sorry glanced at their schedule so JCM with a loss beside it but that is where the game was played. Still JCS is a good school and Milan will not lose to Grundy Co.
  9. Grundy, you have to beat a team twice, who has only lost three games all season (one to a A school, two to out of state). I don't see Milan losing two games in a row or you haveing the ability to beat them two games in a row. Just be happy with getting to state because Milan will move on.

    Respect

Don't worry Central the same thing happens here in Williamson Co with Fairview and Page. Page had a great season in 2002, winning district and going to regionals and nothing was hardly said about them. Then last year Fairview had a little more coverage but not as much as the other schools. Page in 2002 was 3-0 against other county teams and so was Fairview in 2003. So we have had success, but AAA teams even if their not that good get all the credit. Central you guys are showing Montgomery Co. what they have been missing out on all year.
  11. All I can say is wow, never thought Central would win a game down in Memphis, much less beat Lipscomb. Good jobs guys, way to make the region proud.
  12. Everybody has left out the one team with the tradition of winning and that is David Lipscomb. This team plays in possibly the toughest district in the state. They have great coaching, and great players. I see them coming through and winning.
  13. that's crazy, David Harrison never had a hard time getting exposure.
  14. Sounds like the Lenoir City fans are a little overconfident. I hope the players don't feel this way because they will be packing up and heading home if they do. Columbia Academy is a good team that will fight until the end and find a way to win. I hope CA puts the clamps down on Lenior City just because of the cocky arrogant fans on this board.
  15. seems to me maryvillescots is trying to make people look bad on here. i know for a fact many people posting on here were players and fans at the game. it is funny how you are a new member and already stirring up trouble. i think i will believe the players i know were at the game. i don't think the fairview players would lie on here about what happened, they are great guys. they accepted their loss and admitted they acted wrong in many ways, but they just want the ref reprimanded for his unprofessional behavior.
  16. Houston Co is not in 10aa. They are in 10a if i am correct.
  17. that ah boy, tell it like it is.
  18. Lipscomb is going to be tough to beat. They always play great during tourney time and I wouldn't count them out.
  19. Goodpasture is due for a bad game, but hopefully for them it doesn't come. They are probably the best team there, however sometimes the best team doesn't win.
  20. why doesn't someone report him to the tssaa or do they(TSSAA) just not care what type of officials they put out on the field for the most important game of the season for both teams? i think it is pretty sad that they allow someone on the field like that since it seems he already has a bad reputation. Congrats to both teams for great seasons and good luck to CSAS at state.
  21. Clam it boy. We didn't play our best game but thats OK. Nobody cares about baseball anyway. There won't be 200 people at the state finals. Heck yall probably even have more fans at some of yalls pitiful football games. FOOTBALL is where its at in this state anyway! If it wasn't for Marshall County and Sycamore yalls region would be terrible! Whens the last time you kids made the playoffs. Never I think! PEACE OUT!!!! Whoa there buddy, I think I remember a great game down in Jackson last year against Southside and Fairview. We have more teams in this region than those two and if you think that those are the only two then you are crazy.
  22. Why don't you take your little preppy, stuck up Brentwood attitude somewhere else. Have you seen Fairview play? Probably not. They have not scheduled the strongest of teams but they get the job done no matter who they are playing. They have excellent players on their team. I would put our top players up against anyone in the county. This team is only losing two seniors and they have had a winning record the past two years, and I dont see that changing anytime soon. So instead of being a selfish brat, why don't you support your fellowe Williamson Co. team.
  23. You have offically showed me you are incompetent about the game of baseball. How can you say two districts whose best teams lost by over 25 runs in the sectionals round, is better than a district 9aa. You have a seriously problem if you truly believe that. I even stated in my previous post that 9aa was not good this year. But the matter of fact is they weren't the worst. You and your washed up pro baseball husband need to stop supporting 9aa athletics and Page because you are not a supporter if you can not open your eyes and see that. All I was asking you was to retract your earlier statement of 9aa being the worst district. You talk about me being a man when I was wrong and I admitted it. How about you step up to the plate and change your mind? Oh wait I forgot you can't do that can you?
  24. So which one of those district's is better than us then if district 9aa is the 2nd worst, then. Because there is two districts out of Memphis that are horrible. Seems to me, you haven't done enough research over the entire state to back up your opinion that district 9aa was the waorst. Yes, we were bad this year, but we weren't the worst or 2nd worst.
  25. After looking at the sectional scores I would have to say that District's 15 and 16 in AA are the weakest by far. Both teams got thumped by more than 25 runs. Will you now retract you earlier statement of 9aa being the worst in the state.
