  1. The ball is going to be hard and the ground is going to be cold. May make all the difference but White House will get revenge and win at home.
  2. I am wondering how CPA, Goodpasture and Lipscomb is "suggested" to be realigned with small public schools like Greenbrier next year? Greenbrier has one feeder middle school and have to work with whatever players we get. I do feel private schools get an advantage of picking and choosing who they offer admittance and "scholarships" to.
  3. I don't think you'll ever see Dustin at Greenbrier. He's a Springfield grad and I suspect his loyalties may take him anywhere but to Greenbrier. The Cats lost something intangible when Kelly Ziegler stepped out of the picture, and as much as I think it is getting close to time to changes with KW at the helm, I think instead of Dustin, you will see Jacob Aldridge and Stetson Dickerson take over the reigns. They are both young enough to try something new instead of the same old playbook year after year. When we can sit in the stands and predict the calls, I'm sure that's whey Porter has our number down pat.
  4. If I am correct, Cleggy isn't a Greenbrier "faithful"....maybe just a region fan. To say Greenbrier by 21 is a firestarter. The Bobcats play hard and had a complete game against Sycamore and have had the lead early in some games this season, but we know that PC is fast and will be all the Cats can handle and then some. But the Cats are still coming to play, and hopefully they will let you know we've been there when the buzzer sounds. I won't make a prediction because anything can happen. Good luck to both teams. Focus, Bobcats!
  5. The Devils always find a way to win at home.
  6. Greenbrier and Sycamore are free to trick or treat on Friday, however the treat was to watch the Bobcats pound the War Eagles Thursday night! It was Senior night and as the Senior Bobcats played on the home field for most likely the last time, they brought some oomph to the game. Scoring early and often, the Cats took down the Sycamore 40-8, with Sycamore scoring very late after the Bobcats held Sycamore at the goal line and then fumbled the ball after the takeover. Congrats to the Senior Class of 2015! We are looking forward to a good playoff run!
  7. Just when I was thinking it might be time to seriously think of a coaching change in the 'Brier, Greenbrier scored early and often tonight! First TD in the first 20 seconds of the game! After beating Portland, Cheatham and now Macon, I hope some things are clicking! Finish strong, Cats! In other news, looks like Springfield showed WH what they showed us. Speed kills! The Jackets are going to be very confident as the last half of the season rolls along.
  8. http://www.ihigh.com/whitehouse/broadcast_324276.html?silverlight=1 The link to watch the game for those that are interested. WH scored to make it 20-10 and Bobcats ran it back to the redzone on the ensuing kickoff. Its now GC 27 - WH 10.
  9. Ah. I didn't go back before that last post and see that you've already discovered that Mr. Football error. TSSAA the winners on their website. Here's a fact for both teams. Tomorrow night is predicted to be bitterly cold. That ground is going to be cold and damp and the fans are going to be sitting on their hands. I still think home field is going to make a difference and the bleach bottle gang will make some noise. Will it be enough for the BDP? We will see. And whoever mentioned eating at Conley's, they were right. Food is good. But there's a lot of places to eat around WH. Turn right at the first light after exiting the interstate (Exit 108) to get to Cracker Barrel. They also have a McD's, Waffle House, Hardees, KFC, Taco Bell all right by the first red light. Zaxby's and Wendy's just a little closer to the field, and they have a Fuji Japanese and Las Maracas Mexican restaurant in the Kroger plaza next to the football field. Conley's is out of the way on Hwy 31 towards Millersville, but good if you get there REALLY early (reminds me of O'Charleys) . There is also a BBQ place off 31W. There's a Sonic across the street from the park where the football field is. Plenty of options so eat in White House instead of Nashville. Your revenue will be appreciated. Another hint: Park out near the front of the park near the baseball fields and back in your spot. The spots near the Shelter 1 facing the street are prime. Unless they open the back gate (not likely) of the stadium that takes you thru a subdivison, there is only one entrance/exit. You'll be happier to be close to the exit. Last but not least...Nashville rush hour traffic on I-65 North is almost always bumper-to-bumper and sometimes sitting still after 4pm on Fridays. If you don't plan to get north of town before then, plan on being IN it and possibly late if there is an accident (which is the norm.) If traffic is moving too slow, you CAN get off the interstate at Exit 98 (Millersville exit) onto Hwy 31W and go north for about 8 miles. When you start seeing stop lights, you are in WH. Go to the 3rd red light and turn left onto Hwy 76 and the park is on the right. And REMEMBER....the football field is NOT at the high school....go to the city park.
  10. DTBDP61, Greenbrier's Roger Herndon won in 2004. I think Ricky Ladd was the year after.
  11. I don't have a dog in this fight. Since it's been a while since Giles beat WH, they may not want to put a W on their schedule just yet. WH's coach, Jeff Porter seems to find a gameplan to pull out tight games in tough spots. It's easy to call other teams "cupcakes" when you didn't see them play. Records don't always reflect how close games really are. Greenbrier did lose in OT by 3 to WH, but by the time Greenbrier played Lexington we had several injuries we didn't have against WH. If you're basing your predictions on who beat who, you may be disappointed. The further WH goes into the playoff, the more the town turns out. Giles can't outnumber BD fans on Friday night (Bring your chairs or plan to stand), and somehow their 12th man makes a big difference in playoffs. Just saying, don't count your chickens before they hatch. Giles. The Blue Devils may not be on here spouting off, but it's not because they are scared. Let the boys talk on the field, and may the best team win. And last time I looked, you're both 8-2 in regular season.
  12. Go WH....after reading all the posts, I think they are already overlooking the Blue Devils.
  13. Then you'd better plan to in WH EARLY, EARLY if you want a seat. Visitors section at WH is TINY, and no speakers on that side. Has Giles ever played at WH?
  14. Not just because I'm a Bobcat fan, but just a statement of this years Patriots team, Cleggy is right. Against CPA, I'll be a little shocked to hear about a Patriots win against CPA. But then, I was a little shocked to see the Pats beat Sycamore when we didn't. So as the saying goes...anything can happen on any given Friday night, even if it's not likely. Go get em', Pats.
  15. I hope the Bobcats got whatever happened at Sycamore out of their system. That was the sloppiest game I've seen Greenbrier play all year. The Cats are much better than their record appears. With the exception of David Lipscomb, their losses have come late and by less than 10 points to WH, Westmoreland and Sycamore combined. Still traveling to Lexington is going to be a difference maker and the Bobcats have to come in strong and make a statement to have another shot at WH. The 3 point OT loss to WH should make them thirsty to get back for a rematch. I would love to see that. Go Bobcats! Play Smashmouth. Tackle hard, and run strong.
  16. who will host the Greenbrier/Chester County game?
  17. I was gonna say...statewide yes. National? I don't think I've ever seen their name in national ranks.
  18. JR and Nick played great! No pick 6 thrown by anyone but the Patriots qb, but there were fumbles on boths sides.
  19. Great game GHS Seniors! A lot of fire in this game, and for a few minutes it was a heated push and shove with personal fouls called on both teams and I was disappointed to see an unsportsmanship conduct called on the Bobcats. Hopefully the meeting of both team in the middle of the field was to shake hands and make amends. I'm sure the revenge will be in the Patriots gut next year, but til then this 34-3 win by the Bobcats was SWEET. Proud of you guys for putting it out out there. Now go get Sycamore and let's move on to the playoffs! Go Cats!
