goiowa if you had eyes that worked you would have seen the size of sweeton at 160 he was huge the anklet did not fit. as for him and ward it would be a toss up my money would not make a bet on that match. and at 160 he did put on the fireman show against andrew king also a 3 or 4 time placer and two time finalist not just a one timer. so yes he should be on the list and yes he is one of the best high school wrestlers this state has seen in the last 10 years.

i agree with all of you on the champs we all can saw who is the baddest but one thing should be agreed on is the fact that tn wrestling is a growing threat to the rest of the nation and i hope to continue to see the agruments on the top ten best wrestlers because as long we are not agreed on then that means there is more than ten champs that qualify for the spot. thats awesome

DI would take it the DII stud is leen and think Lane would show him a thing or two. leen is good but lane TECH FALL in the state finals on takedowns leen would have to bring his A game but I would pay to see the match of the DI vs DII state champs. Also Balckman at 71 quit giving him crap he is good and so is knox blackman did what he had to do to be a state champ leave it alone. by the DI one or DII fans should agree if they truly want to be a state champ put all schools together public private large small and lets find out who the best of the best the way it once was.

i will agree with stud on that. when you place 4X and final 3X with 2 titles and your ear is swown to the side of your head because you got it ripped off in freestyle and then play your way threw a 160lb title you need to be on the list. after all this is a high school list and college needs to be a different list some guys don't do the college thing

in 2000 the 125 and 130 state title were fought by two sets of brothers the kellers from bradley and dye twins from clevland. not sure but this might be the only time this has occured

i tried express in clevland they could not get the shoes. is there any other way to get the teal combat speeds or elite international white/purple?

all right i need a new pair of shoes and i can not find the ones i want i would like the purple/white smith international elites or the blue/pink/teal combat speeds anybody know where to get them or if you got a pair to sell size 10?

women and wrestling doesn't sound like a mix but there is an national womens team and am pretty sure that any of those women you like to show you what they about the sport so watch what you say when you want yo run that mouth.

the wieght issue is a hard barrier to break because as you age and mature you should become a better wrestler, so if a freshman comes in at 160 he will probably be facing senior and some juniors who have experience on him. the highest i remember is keller at 119 but sweeden also won that year at 103. it would awesome to see a young stud at high wieght but it doesnot happen. cleavland had a sophmore win 145 in 2001 with no prior placement.

maryville has a beast at 215

esay killer not all hvy wieghts are fat i remember seeing a hvwy turn a backflip in the 1999 states after he won it. fat will catch you in the third round. i have not seen the bradley boy but he did when his own tourny and they always have a good state tournout. johnson is good but he has not done much do to viral infection. he will have to bust his hump to earn the rankings you all give him, but i hope he does i know him as a friend and i will support him to win but there is lot of tough guys in this weight. next the brentwood kid deosn't sound to shabby of a wrestler i have not seen him just heard about him a little. hwy is always open no matter what the skill due to the size and stenght change throughout the season so it is hard to point fingers on who will and wan't place at this wieght.

275 seymour. what has he done to get this over bradley (silvely) and brentwood (slowey) they are tough and you don't even mention them.

a few things first jwebb is a good wrestler but at 112 you abrocrombie and puckett to beat both are tough wrestlers i did not see abrocrombie on the bradley tourney but webb had a good tournout also puckett is still playing with his wieght the last i heard. then smith from sd was at 152 and cambell from seymour is at 160 and cambell should be able to beat henry the first match was close ending in an injury so no for sure winner but they should meet at least twice more before regions. next don't bank on ziets beating talley they are both great wrestlers and niether shines anymore than the other. maryville has a tough 215 to watch out for. the 145 and 152 classes are wide open with no real dominating factor. johnson has the strenght to take heavy but he has not done much this year to impress. it should be a great tourny.

takedown well put many high school kids are to scared to take the blaim for their own falts and with any other sport you don't have to you can say the qb or point gaurd or the goalie played bad so WE lost but with wrestling it is the I lost that gets most kids plus it takes to much effort to win for most of our lazy society

farragut is always tough the have both dix at 140 and knox at 171 both of these guys come from a wrestling family look for them to have a domanating season. they have some other great talent with two new coaches that are great wrestlers and will develope there kids into excellent competators. look for them to well as a team and as individuals in tournaments. they did not have a strong tourny at seymour but they where not all there due to injury and illness.

i've seen nick before he is great wrestler but he has not seen the compition from a high school level nor has he seen any thing outside of east tn. aau doesn't travel like high school so don't pop off comments like is the best until he proves it by competing with the teams out side of his own back yard.

notre dame, clevland, baylor, d benit, franklin??, usally are there but have not seen the line up yet the seeting meeting went to late and did not get to hear any info on it. should be a great tourny i will be waiting to talk about it on sunday.

160 has cambell (seymour) in less he is cutting either way he should take 152 or 160 but have not seen all the 160 yet. they also have a 125 that is tough but no one seems to agree with me. He is young but is focused. pucket went to 103 but did not look real good almost like he had cut to much he needs to stay at 112 and will could place high in the state. seveir county has a freshman 130 that is strong but young i don't think he place in r. II but he could pull of an upset in tour. marville had tough 152 or 160 not sure witch i just cought the tail end of the match. i will post again if get to see anymore from this area

i had a chance to watch seymour at thier duals last week, they have a good 160 (c. cambell), 112 (j. webb) looks fairly good, 125 is a freshman but watch out for him he will be a big threat in the region, 130 (ziets) is good and should make a run for state this year, hwt johnson is strong but did not impress me on saturday, they also have a girl that is tough but it seemed no one gave her credit even when she won i believe she will also have a desent season.

i agree with lauderdale on this one there needs to be one champ not two. however i would love to see the be a split in small school large school dual tournament but not the individual. since there is a small to no chance of this happening maybe one should propose a dual meet between the private and public school state champs in both the dauls and individuals to allow the kids and fans to know who is the best of the best.
