What team in your school's history do you consider "Best team ever?" Include year, player, coach, or whatever... York fans you can play too if you'll play nice.

Seriously, firebird5 I was just joking about York losing on purpose. They simply didn’t play well, to say the least. But, if their A game shows up for the region, watch out. But no one can predict which York team will show. Focus Dragons, Focus.

Well, it was a joke, but I was inferring that they threw the game for their own benefit.

York boys up-and-down season continues as they win tonight in OT. Maybe the 10% from the field the other night was their coy attempt to get in a better bracket. EW is smart like that.

york beat hogeye a couple years back--ONCE--and i know the drought goes back to the 80's....How far I do not know. When did Slammin Sam Beaty retire? I bet the dates are similar.

Excellent question—questionmark. The answer is YES, it does. The coach should try to get the most out of each and every player. Who’s saying BW isn’t trying to do that? I’m not. I’m sure he is trying his best. From what I hear and see that “best” is simply not good enough to compete with the elite teams in the state, which happen to be in their district. One win against LA in the last “forever” just doesn’t cut it. Agree or disagree?

questionmark...your posts confuse me. You don't know about the assistant coach yet you claim to know the thoughts of the potential female coach at YAI. What's up?

Why have this behind closed doors?..I thought that was what this board was all about---getting things out in the open and discussing them. As for the female coach, the previous post said she used to coach at Clarkrange(I assume 8th grade) and now she is at York Institute waiting for the position to open. That must be a weird situation.

Questionmark...My bad on the coaching error. How could I forget Sam Beaty? Anyway why is this hired female coach not helping out with the team? There must be more to this than one can see on the surface.

If coach winningham were to step down I think they would have problems finding a replacement, because anything short of an undefeated season would be a disappointment to a very unforgiving fan base. Look, even Cheeseburger won a state championship. York fans need to be patient and their talent will bring future success.
