  1. Coach D is no different from Buzz. Talent in their backdoor and dont' want it. Talking about walking on, Jujuan smith is gonna have to walk on in basktball. How many Tennessee players is he signing for next years team in baseball?
  2. How is his hand? Did he re-break it or what? He is a great pitcher and I am sure that he is wanting to pitch. Don't blame the coaches Because I am pretty sure that knowing Kellen the way I think I do that he probably wanted to pitch. You can't shelter him from injury. Has he decided where to go to college yet. I heard that he is now being recruited for baseball. I just hope he is able to play baseball the rest of the season.
  3. Sorry have to disagree with you man on that one. Both Pickel and Hare are D1 and Pugh may very well grow into D1 potential. Don't think Miss Wareagle was saying that schools should take them because they are locals or of good character. I think maybe she was saying that Pickel and Pugh are just as good as some of the character"less" players that are being recruited by some of these schools. Watched them all year. Pickel is actually a better floor general and shooter than Hare. Hare is stronger. Belmont is probably a good fit for Hare but to say that Pickel and Pugh could not play at that level is asanine. However, I hope they both stay close at home and play for Lee. The years I have watched Lee, Lee could play with UTC most of the time anyway. Both of these guys could be standouts at Lee you are right but don't make the statement that they are not D1. If Mr McMinn is D1 then Hare Pickel and Pugh are d1 allstars. NO disrespect taken. Being the proud granny of six I take no offense from youngsters. I have watched these boys play for three years and my hubby is a fanatic. Concerning the three quoth the hubby:" Pickel is the best all-around player who is a true PG that can shoot better than anyone out of Bradley. Hare is the strongest PG in the state with also great shooting abilities. Would have played small forward on alot of high school teams with his jumping abilities. Pugh, quick and good defender. Maybe more promise than either of the two. In a clutch, he says go to Pickel 10 out of 10 times. Brown has come on this year in a big way but yet to be seen how he will do in the big games." He says that I was being too hard on you and that NAIA is good and many D1 schools like Belmont are just D1 in name only and are in fact smaller schools than many NAIA. I didn't know that. Just thought that it was based on size. Also heard that MTSU backed out on Kellen because he is going to play both sports in college. Hard to play NCAA both. Also heard Army wants him in a bad way.UTC has looked at Pugh but his shooting skills are not good enough. Hare should be Mr. Basketball and that alone should help his status in college. I have watched many games on television lately and I just hink that Pickel and Hare both could help some of these teams with their shooting. But I am just a granny. Maybe I will stick to the cooking and cleaning. LOL. I personally hope that these guys will stay close to home so we can keep up with them.

  5. Interesting fact! Interesting that TNWareagle didn't know the "factual year" Was that when Garren and Redman played or after that
  6. Morris will dominate inside and Mustangs by 8. Bring home a substate game.
  7. Right on!. Just ask across the state about Harlowe and you will find he is a very respected coach. Ask the players who are not getting PT or that he yells at a little too much, and they probably don't like him. That is how it is with most coaches and players. Few kids want to work hard and be yelled at. Many are not open to criticism. I think it is sad the way some parents and girls want to ruin and bring down a coach not just at Bradley but wherever it is.If girls are not happy, they can always go to another school. That happens all the time in Tennessee. But trust me, wherever you go there will be parents and players not happy. There are too many players with not enough PT, thus dissatisfaction in the coach. Buckalew came FROM another school to play for Harlow. Ask her what she thinks!!!! I don't know the girl myself but I have had the privelege to meet her dad who thinks Harlowe is great. Said his daughter loved playing for him.Harlowe must be a very big person to have put up with all that stuff and still played the players he thought could win. He is a bigger person than many I know. And I don't really know him that well, only that he has a great reputation in the basketball world. These girls have a good shot at going to the state. you have NO idea what the coach actually believes or doesn't. Rumors are simply that. They are rumors.Coach Harlowe looked to have had all the faith in the girls to win. You people, whoever you are, should simply support him through this season and go somewhere else next year. Because no system or administrator with any backbone at all would fire a coach like him. This isn't little league you are in, these girls are in the big leagues now. It would be very nice to see Walker Valley and Bradley both in the state. It was a shame that CHS and Bradley had to meet like they did. On a much more positive not, good luck to the Bradley bearettes and bears and the Lady Mustangs. I am gonna be at Ooltewah for the Bradley boys, over to Chatt state and back to Ooltwah hoping to see three wins. Oh and three great coaches!
  8. Pickel will be back for Bradley in time for the substate game so I hear. Will he still be able to defend his name as best shooter in the state?
  9. Upsets do happen in high school ball. They were upset last night and that probably is not the coaches fault. But if it is true that he is planning on going to another school that is enough to get people upset. The people of Bradley County will not like the scheming underhanded things that are going on if what we keep heraing is true. I was at Hiwassee the other night and heard several stories about where he was going to be coaching. If all this was in the plans last year like what I heard last week then why did they run poor ole Lewis off the way they did just to hire him? He is a great coach with a lot ot political power in this county. Sports should not be the place for the politics.
  10. He has formerly been at Rhea County, Maryville, Tellico and now WVHS. I hear he is going to Knoxville but then I hear he wants to take the Bradley Coaches job, who also has not left. I thought he was doing a good job at Walker Valley but then became a source of controversey. It is a shame what happened to the WVHS coach last year just to hire him and then if he up and leaves WVHS. But if he has a better job offer in Knoxville he should go but if that is a cover-up or scheme to get the county to hire him at Bradley. Surely if Bradley's coach leaves they would not hire a coach from the other high school. I mean why would you rob Peter to pay Paul? You don't take a head coach from one school in the same county to put him at another school in the county? I mean how much sense would that make? Plus I don't see Moore wanting to coach girls instead of boys. By the way what happened last night? Arts and Sciences beat them that bad.
  11. KELLEN PICKEL from Bradley. His team went undefeated with him and have lost two out of three without him. He can shoot, pass and ball on anybody out there.
  12. Going from a 13 to a 20 may not give him a choice but to either take the test again or go to a prep school. Athletes or normal students sho make so low as a 13 can not bring it up to a 20. Believe me if he signs with a NCAA school there will be a lot of questions and reports. He needs to just go ahead and take it again. By the way, he does have support. Look at the games this year and I think you will find that Jujuan was the one who missed the last second shots. missed the foul shots, shot 15 percent from the field in the big games in the district. It was not his teammates,
  13. McMinn has not been a very good team the past several years with or without Jujuan. They just neve find a way to win the big ones. But this year will be different. They are going to beat Cumberland tomorrow and play Bradley Tuesday. Then they will choke but by then they will already be guaranteed of two more games and a region game.
  14. It may take Bradley some time to adjust without the playmaker but I think it is still a tossup between them and Cleveland. But it really doesn't matter because by region time Bradley will have it all together and will bring the substate back to the Bears Den. Anybody know if Pickel will be back by then? When will he get the cast off?
