I wouldn't say this central team is as good as the 02/03 squad. It's definitely the most athletic/biggest team they've had since that year though. There just isn't a go to guy like Wadale on the current team. This year's club has the potential to make a run, but I don't know if they will peak in time. Looking back at the 90's and early 00's, these teams weren't great in the half court. However their pressure defense and its extension into a full court press created endless turnovers which led to quick points. Coach Collie has actually been working with this year's team on the press. In the region 4aaa thread someone said that Columbia has no defense. I think they'll see a different Columbia team than the one they saw earlier in the year.

Well it's kind of obvious stressfree and janice believe the coach is subservient to the players. You're wondering what's wrong with kids these days. But let's look at Janay's attitude issues then look at Lateria's and ponder. From what I've gathered Lateria has changed the last few years and become a very egocentric person. I'm going to conclude that she has picked up some bad habits. Hopefully I am wrong and maybe there was just a freak personality clash between player and coach. (even though that would still be a ridiculous excuse) As for Coach Moore's lack of winning with all that talent. Look at what she did in 2002/2003. Took the team to the state. I believe her first year too. After about five horrible years the team miraculously makes it to the state tournament? I think there was some coaching involved. 2004/2005 they had one of the best records in school history of like 33 and 4 or something. On the note about recent scholarship players from Central. There haven't been any huge signings. From the 05 class: Zac Walker Tenn. Tech, Nancy Moore UTC, Alston Enyard Columbia State, Coty String Columbia State. 06: Alex Ross Lehigh, Deandre Bullock Kennesaw, Clint Marable Mercyhurst (Pennsylvania I think), Cam Andrews Martin Methodist. So there have been some kids make it out. The boys program has been down since Collie left and Graves entered. What a horrible hiring. Luckily things are turning around with Murrell.

our student section stinks this year which isnt too fun being that it is my senior year, freshmen year our section was huge and loud. so this year i just give the refs some 'personal' opinion. i just tell him he f***ing stinks. skip all the silly little chants. just cuss them out. havent been thrown out yet, dang it. wow didnt notice till just now that the board edits your message if it uses the vacuum word. talk about some stupid politically correct piece of crap.

yeah columbia played them at memorial during the 1998/99 year. columbia won 61 to 50. columbia's best year in school history with only 2 losses during the year.
