Their middle school team competed in a tournament this weekend in Murfreesboro. They have some pretty good athletes. If that is any indication they may have a decent high school team

I understand what you are saying and you make very valid points. Having coached middle school bball in Rutherford county 8 out of the last 9 years I can tell you there wasn't another player the caliber of Laquinta coming through the ranks after she left.

I'm not sure what you want them to do. Right now they don't have the talent to compete in 7AAA, and Laquinta signing with LSU is not going to change that. There aren't any more Laquinta's walking the halls of Lavergne

This game was not as close as the score would indicate. Oakland showed a lot of heart in the 4th quarter. I was surprised when I got in the car and heard that Oakland had actually outgained Blackman. Oakland has way too many athletes for them to be as 1 dimensional as they are. I'tavius Mathers is the REAL deal I saw where 1 of the oakland players mentioned on twitter today comparing their backfield to Mathers and basically said Oakland was better but after looking at the stats in the paper their 4 leading rushers had only collectively outgained him by about 130 yards.
