Almost every player that got a charge called on them made a face. Alot of players that I could name but will not, made faces if they thought a foul should have been called (& he was wearing green). This person did not do this during one game it was every game he played & he made the face all the way back down the court. He also was a good player. Want to talk about jawing, Middleton players did plenty of that after time outs to the ref standing in the middle of the floor waiting for the opposing team to break the huddle. They were good players. They all do it, why pick on one guy?

It's my understanding that Webb was talked about, just not pushed. Ask his coach if he really pushed for Webb. I was surprised that Doaks was in the running & not Webb, figuring that Webbb would be his tightest contender. And Skogen was sure to be the favorite. How long have we been hearing that name. What I don't get is why is the media, the paper media the ones who nominate these players?

I have seen quite a few of Trenton Peabody's games. The tight ones, the ones that the locals talk about the week ahead of the game, like the one against West Carroll's Xavier Webb. It was a good game, big guy against big guy. The crowds are rowdy the tension is thick. Doaks has never had a tantrum, ever. But I can tell you what I have seen him do, stop his team mates that get hot. He's done it more than once. Probably some of the accounts you are referring to were overblown. That's what happen alot of the time when the opponent is not the winner. It's the same type thing as blaming the ref.

Our group made alot of jokes about all the charge calls. Then the FEW blocks that were called, we were like...." what, no charge!" Although, we began to see alot of charge calls during the regional tournaments & really were not surprised at state. Most all the games prove to be pretty exciting though.

Temple does not stink. The Skogen kids were great as was their teammates. They played well but were up against a tough team. That's it. Middleton has been on a roll. May end tomorrow may not. Just enjoy the teams left and let it go.

Was wcladycat08 watching the same game as the rest of the stadium? That was the worst game. But apparently a good match for each team. I'm leaning toward Middleton, they are soo quick. But if Trenton Peabody is having a good game, could be them as well, we'll know Saturday.

Well, let's just say Doaks did push Snell. What's the big deal when 2-3 JCS players were hanging on him all night & never got a foul called. Umm...that would be called a hold. Really and truly he should have been at the foul line all night. Any way seems the Team took up the slack, just as they did when Doaks had to sit out a couple of games. Wonder where JCS season would have ended if North had to sit out a game or two?

Well, the state tournament was all I thought it would be! There were some surprises in each classification. But what a tournament. Congratulations to the 5 starters and the ever dependable subs. What a talent to be able to accomplish so much with so many changes every season! This was a well deserved win for these special friends, called the Lady Tide, and a big Welcome to Coach Lumley. She should have so many more good years with Peabody and Rakeshia Perry. What a freshman.

If this is the same Memphis Mitchell that played the A circuit last year, they were very cocky. It was very difficult to say whether the coach or the team was the cockiest. One feeds off the other it appears. There was at least one game where the cops were called to the school because the game was not going their way, they tried to start some stuff. This was after they came in prancing around & around the gym announcing they were going to the "ship". They lost. Did not go over well.

Ummmm.....I think I've already said this in another post. The teams (all the teams, A, AA, AAA) in this tournament are not jumping from 1st round to the championship game. They are focused on one game at a time. The fans are the ones jumping ahead. At this stage all the teams are good teams. The scores are expected to be close & keep the fans on the edge of their seats. Good luck to all the teams. Hope everyone brings a good crowd. I'm loading up now as it is a l..o..n..g.. drive & I want to get a good parking spot & great seat. See you all there!

I assure you the teams are thinking one game at a time. It's the fans jumping ahead and they have no deciding factor on the games outcome.

1.) Alvey -pt guard 2.) 1/2 court, usually 3.) Bobbitt is required to complete grades 9-12 in the same 4 year span as the rest of her class, she is expected to graduate on schedule in May 2005. 4.) Not sure it is a tough bracket & yes the daughter is a definate distraction.

That is a little "big-headed" don't you think? If the game ends up lop sided in favor of OC, won't you feel like a big jerk? Settle down, it's a tournament game, everyone is suppose to be good!

I think some of you are missing the point some of Peabody fans are trying to make. Their team has been to the tourny 4 years in a row. That says alot about a teams chemistry. No doubt Coafield is a good team, they too have made it to the tourny this year. Make no mistake about it, this is the time of year when the scores are suppose to be close & keep the fans on edge. It will be a good game. USJ is not associated with Peabody school.

You do realize there are children on here also, they will say anything. No single team goes undefeated ever, even in the pros.
