On Friday April 9th, and Saturday April 10th is the Jackson County 6th annuall Alex Cassetty baseball classic. There will also be a fish fry at the middle school on saturday from 4 to 7. The fish is from Helen's restuarant. For all you locals, you know that will be good, with the homemade desserts as well. The schedule is: Friday April 9th 3:15 Pickett County vs Gordonsville 5:15 Watertown vs Smith County 7:15 York vs Jackson County Saturday April 10th 10:00 Gordonsville vs Jackson County 12:00 Gordonsville vs York 2:00 Watertown vs York 4:00 Watertown vs Pickett County 6:00 Smith County vs Pickett County 8:00 Smith County vs Jackson County One can see there will be a lot of baseball, the weather suppose to be nice, so come out eat some good concession food, and see a lot of baseball.

Jordan Collier Jackson County. 8-2 record in 09 138 K's 28 walks. The best part he is only a junior. Throws in the mid 80's with good slider, and spots his fastball real well.

Wow, I belive the book on "Hammer Heady" would be a no. 1 best seller if the story ended with the lovely mermaid ended up with the shark, because we know that the shark can hit it out of the park. No. 19 thats me is also a no.1 hit on the "chandler's list", if anyone needs a copy of this great hit, they need to go to books a million and see it in the sports section under unbelievable songs.

Hey Jackson County how is no. 19 at livingston doing. I hear he has a book coming out called making of a God, from Howard Chandler. This is following the no.1 best seller book by Howard Chandler named no. 19 thats me.

First we want to thank everyone who worked so hard on this tournament. Also liked to thank the Lord above for the great weather for the tournament. The games went smooth, and we had a great turnout for the fish fry. I know Alex was smileing down friday and saturday. The records were like this: Monterey 3-0, Jackson County 2-1. Smith County 2-1, Gordonsville 2-1, Watertown 0-3, and Oakdale 0-3. Thanks for everyone who attend, we had great crowds at the game, and hopefully we can continue this each year down the road.

The Fourth Annual Alex Cassetty Baseball Classic, will be friday April 17th and Saturday April 18th There will be a fish fry on Sat at the Jackson Co. Middle School from 4:00 to 7:00. I dont know the official standing but Monterey has one loss, JCHS has 3 losses RBS has 3 losses, Clay Co. has 4 losses, I dont know about Pickett or Clarkrange. The schedule is so messed up because of rain,and we are now as fortunate to have the funds for a field tarp in this district.

RBS won 6-4 in a another great battle. Jake Stiles hit a two run shot in the top of the 7th to help his own cause. Chris Stafford pitched well for Blue Devils as well.

Jackson County won in a thriller last night over Red Boiling Springs 6-3 in nine innings. The Ray kid from RBS pitch an incredible game, as well as Jordan Collier for JCHS. Ray went 8and a third last night with over 15 strikeouts, and Colllier went the full nine innings and struck out a school record 24. Great game by both teams. Cody Mayberry had 2 homeruns for the Blue Devils as well. Another battle weather depending at the Blue Devils den today at 5:30
