  1. Unfortunately, you are probably right. This district is WAY too tough for anyone to actually make it through unbeaten. But that's when you know you've got the team that can take it all: when they can get knocked down, get back up, and get right back in there for the next game. Got a question for you though: why is it OK for you to toot Blackman's horn, and everyone else to support their schools' team, but because Lavergne's team is good and we're proud of them we're "mighty Lavergne" and on our high horse? We're just supporting our teams, same as you're supporting yours... This is the Lady Wolverines' year - let's see them take care of business... As MY high school girls' basketball team's slogan from the year we won the KY state tournament stated, let's take it "ALL THE WAY TO STATE!" These ladies work hard and they deserve to win. Let's all get in there and support them. Go Lady Wolverines!!!
  2. Unfortunately, I think you're right. We've already seen it in several games, but I do think the Siegel game was the most obvious so far... Oh well, gotta do what it takes to get the W. Good luck to all, but especially... GO BIG BLUE!!
  3. I'm with you. Yes, Siegel's girls may get overlooked by some. However, WAY too many of LaVergne's turnovers were unforced. Our girls just looked sloppy, and took way too long to find their groove. Hopefully that gets it out of the system, and these ladies go on to show everyone what Blue Crew basketball is all about!
  4. yep, it's true... LaVergne missed too many free throws and had a hard time finding the net. However, it's also easier to understand the loss if you were there and saw the officiating. When an official at mid-court over-rides another ref's call (more than once) who was right beside the play, and the over-riding call always seems to go in Siegel's favor.... and when fans hear the refs conversation and supposedly at least one of these officials states "I hope LaVergne doesn't win this game"-what would YOU think? Not saying there actually WAS any favoritism in play, but there was definitely some poor officiating. No, I'm not part of the basketball program so don't go trying to pin this on any of the players, coaches, and/or their families. I'm also NOT making any accusations, merely making observations on what I saw/heard/was told... I'm not trying to take anything away from Siegel. They were bigger and stronger, even without 2 of their "Star" players. They definitely outplayed us. They hustled, their shots found the net, they rebounded, they didn't miss many free throws til the end (when they pretty much had the game wrapped up), they deserved that win. Ugh, that hurts to say! But when it's all said and done, this game will come back and help LaVergne to dig a little deeper and play a littler harder when the stakes are higher. Just wait til next time!
  5. Nice pics! Any chance someone can put the pics back up from the LaVergne-Riverdale game? I know it wasn't a great game, but you (someone) had some great shots! Most of our players didn't get to see them, as they were down before they knew to look. Thanks, and keep up the good work!!
  6. Oh yea, do you know which one of yall's guys came down here this weekend for a workout?
  7. Haha, I'd love to see him at a football game. Don't know how much he likes it, just know he's crazy 'bout baseball.
  8. I like Mr. Limbaugh's idea of making them on two days so people can see 2 games and the gates make more money, but why not move it to saturday instead of thursday? I know it's a college kinda day but more people would be able to see it on saturday than thursday, which would mean more money. Or at least that's how I see it, but you never know. And yes, if it's friday I'm going to try and make it down. Hopefully I can get in, because I have to work out for baseball around 2 so I'll probably leave around 4. Might get some friends to buy me a ticket n wait on me. Haha, right
  9. Well how 'bout people like me who graduated from Lavergne or Smyrna and go to school or live nowhere near there now and want to see the game? I'm 3 hours away now at Dyersburg State and only got to see one game this year, against Smyrna, lol. I would really like to see them again when they're actually playin' good ball.
  10. the sonic on murfreesboro road? not tryin' to get off topic, just wonderin'.
  11. lavergne definately. they went from being a 1-9 team last year and picked to finish last in region 4 5a this year, to being 7-3 and in the playoffs for the first time in 10 years.
  12. man, you sure don't know how good LaVergne is playin' this year. this isn't the same team from the past.

  16. Lavergne beat East Robertson 3-2 on Friday. Saturday they played Brentwood and Coffee County. They won 10-0 against Brentwood. But lost 9-5, or close to that, (dont remember), against Coffee County with only 3 main starters in the lineup.
  17. hey rocket looks like blackman should've thrown price. he might not have given up seven runs in 3 innings.
