You won't see Coach Dyer in maroon and black tonight. The coach that bought the sweatshirts did because of something that went on at a bball game last year. Students got to jawing and he thought he would be cool and join in on it too. He is just redneck and he's not doing it b/c he's cheering for the falcons, he's just doing it to show his uh... hindend.

It would be nice to become a rivalry, but unfortunately SC is moving down to 2A next year.

I thought all of this was words on a message board .... Looking at how many points the teams you've played have given up, not just to you, but everybody, you haven't seen a defense like SC's. If you even try to compare this team w/MC last year, you're crazy. I'm not saying they are way better or anything, but they are not a typical run, run, run team like you're used to seeing come out of this area. They'll throw on you, run on you, whatever seems to be working for them. The big thing that's different from MC 03 is they have a handful of players who can change the face of the game, where as MC had 1 or 2. When they got shut down, MC laid down. That won't happen this time. Off the subject, Watch out for the THP on your way down. Went to K-ville a few weeks back and they were everywhere!!! Nothing dampers a good road trip like having to go home and pay a ticket .

I've never seen a more intelligent post ... I mean they only went 9-1 in the regular season and won a region title, but you're right, they should've given York their place. Yeah Right Genius!!!!!!!

He'll be ready for action at kickoff. May not be 100%, but he's been doing everything right this week to make sure he's as healthy as possible.

I don't know anyone in Smith or Overton County willing to miss tonight's game to drive to A.E.

This is kind of sad. This will be the most predictable and boring region around. SC and Westmoreland will be 1 & 2 year in and year out, York will be third, and Upperman will be fourth. Then comes the playoffs where Boyd beats whoever they play. R.I.P. 4-3a, you were the greatest.

Sorry bud, but that won't happen. Nobody has put up more than 14 points in one game on the SC defense, even the LA Cates-Colson-Vaughns. LA did beat TC, but keep in mind that Smith beat LA. SC-20 LA-8

Pulls the upset? I believe LA is the 2 seed (not to mention region runner-up) to SC, and 9+? I won't "guarEntee" it , but just don't see it happening.

I feel sorry for LA fans not only for the long travel, but also for what happens when they get there. Don't know about the others, but Fulton is terrible compared to what LA has traveled to the past four years. One side of bleachers, no parking (unless you want to pay @ the garage across the street), just plain terrible. Back to the topic... SC-20 LA-8

If Coach Dyer and his staff stay at Macon County, look for them to be a solid squad. They were way down from last year, but they'll have like 26 seniors next year and a very talented bunch of juniors. Might not be able to take the region, but could definately compete. After all, they will be the only team in the region with a 4-3a region title under their belts next year .

If you LOVE it, why do you bash it? You seem to be leaving something that makes SC "think that they are it", a little thing called a REGION CHAMPIONSHIP. Now go get yourself another fresh glass of HATERade.

Every big game SC has won seems to be a "fluke", so I'm sure they'll take as many "flukes" as they are given. This is how they made the playoffs... they beat every team in region 4-3A except Trousdale (there's just something about that darned ole' creekbank), including the almighty(HA!) Livingston Academy. As for cheering on friends or family in other places, if you had any friends you would cheer them on even if they made it out of Overton Co.(but I seriously doubt that's a problem). SC-Region Champs, LA-1st place LOSERS.

Can anyone tell me whether or not it was the Times or the Chronicle? I don't know whether the fuss is being stirred up by parents or by Prock, but angel I'll agree w/you that it is probably not most of his players. But whoever it is, they should get off the man's back. He's only seen (as a spectator) his son play 5 times or less in four years. Most dads get to watch their kids at least 10 times a year. Not to mention, he is the man that brought MC football back from the dead.

I read an article in the paper (can't remember which one) about Coach Dyer sticking to his decision to attend his son's senior night and about how alot of problems have become of this situation and also one where he attended his son's Homecoming. Please tell me that football hasn't taken precident over family in Macon County.

Not everybody was on the football team, but you're right... most were. Maybe now that Dodgen has got the Owlettes back on the right track maybe people will be excited and go crazy for girl's hoops. It's been how long since SC saw a good girl's team? Mid-90s?

I can remember spending many a night in the Crazy Corner @ Bill Landreth Memorial Gym over the past few years with 15-20 other idiots screaming our lungs out for something "other than football." Were you there?
