Coaches, it is almost time to renew (or to register) with the THSSCA. The Tennessee High School Soccer Coaches Association is a group that gives the TN high school coaches a "voice" with the TSSAA. We board has regular meetings with Mark Reeves and have addressed multiple issues and concerns in the high school game. It also is the recognized organization for the coach's All State team which allows players to be recognized in not only state, but the south east region, as well as All American. Membership is only $25 per year per school. If a coach coaches both teams, they only need to register once (just be sure to put down that they coach both teams). Membership goes from August 1 to July 31. It would be great for as many TN high schools to join as it creates a superb network of coaches. Click below to join: THSSCA

This is ABSOLUTELY true. These programs have PROVEN that hard work, great coaching, a community buying into a common goal, and players that are passionate about their games CAN and WILL achieve greatness WITHOUT complaining. Two great programs with incredible coaching staffs. Good luck to both teams tomorrow. I will be in the stands!

Oh man. What a great run, though. Boys should be proud (I know I am proud of them). Please convey my thoughts to them.

After over four hours and multiple lightning delays (with more storms coming from the south) both teams agreed to make the game final. Hume Fogg and coach Allen are a class act, and their players were, as well. It is not the way I would have scripted things, and I still think there needs to be some type of regulation in place where this decision isn't put on the teams or coaches. There was 22 minutes left in the second half and score was 2-0 CPA. I am sitting here at the field and it is still storming 5 hours after kick off time.

And the "phantom" no goal (or was it a goal)????

I would certainly like to face you all NEXT week and not Saturday (though HF has some dangerous players, as well). Coach Clapp (Page) has different plans, however. You coming to the match tonight? Give me a heads up if you are.

Grace (in Franklin) has also decided to stay. HOWEVER, the TSSAA said that teams did NOT have to play them in regular season and teams would NOT be punished (count as a forfeit) if they didn't play them. It was in our newspaper this week.

Wow. Sounds a lot closer than the 5-2 score indicated!

Holy cow. You get married and now have time to post on coach T?!? Ha ha. Miss you, brother! I've said it before and will say it again, Norte Dame has a way of getting things done when things need to get done. The MCM game could be quite interesting. I would imagine many of the coaches' votes will look a bit different this weekend than last.
