I have lived in a number of states. Pennsylvania and Ohio are two that come to mind immediately with their methods. Pennsylvania has all of their championships in Hershey. Hershey is in the center of the state. Ohio conducts their championships in Columbus. Also the center of the state. I couldn't understand why the Spring Fling used to be in Chattanooga. I don't care if the facilities are great, and they know how to put on a tournament. I felt it was unfair to West Tennessee. The Spring needs to be moved to the center of the state, period. I don't know Ronnie Carter or any of the other people managing the TSSAA, but I think they are ignorant individuals, or they have their hand in the till. My daughter played in the softball tournament and it infuriated me that, by wanting to be as close to the venue as possible, I had to pay Mississippi taxes for a Tennessee event. Move it to Middle Tennessee like football and basketball!!!!!!

Lenoir City won 5 - 0 and Farragut lost 2 - 0.

Caitlin hit 3 in the District tournament. 10 -14 in the district tournament.

In the Knoxville area I would highly recommend Harry Backhurst. He deserves part of his fee as a sports psychologist.

Caitlyn Ryan of Knox West. 3 Homeruns, a triple and a couple of doubles in the 3 - AAA tournament. Overall I heard she was 10 - 14 with 12 RBI's and several walks.

Bearden beat West in a really great game. Bearden took a 5 - 0 lead on some miscues in the field by West. Caitlin hit another monster shot to left field to make it 5 - 1. Then the big comeback, West scored 4 times to tie it and send it into extra innings. Bearden scored in the bottom of the 9th to win it 6 -5. Great game both teams. In the nightcap after an 1 - 1/2 hour rain delay and lights delay Farragut beat Bearden 1 - 0. It was a great night of softball. Two very good and deserving representatives from District 4 will go to the regionals. Good luck to both teams in the regionals.

The Lady Admirals got another close win tonight at Maryville, 1 - 0 in 11 innings. This give Farragut a 12 - 2 record in 1 run games. A win is a win is a win. Margaret and the defense keeps us in the game until we can squeeze a run in.

That's what I heard from two people at the game. Farragut used Heyming, Waldrop, Sherrard and Delmonico. I don't know who got the loss. The Admirals will come back with a vengence.
