2000- Alcoa/Maryville came down to a fumble on the goal line! 14-7 Alcoa 1989- Alcoa/Kingston (semis - I think it was Kingston) QB Kevin Jackson runs in for the game winning TD with secs left!! 2000-Alcoa/Goodpasture - Semis - GP goes for two with a min. left and is stuffed at the 1! (It was a hurricane that night!!) I scored to tie the game before the half!! 2001 - Alcoa/Goodpasture - Semis -GP blocks a punt and runs in for the game winning score!! I was sick to my stomach! I've seen a few Maryville classics too, but I can't remember all of them!!

I personally think this is crazy!! this kid could probably go to any college in America with those grades!! I know a few kids that attend Vandy now and I KNOW they didn't get but a 19 on the ACT!! If I was that kid I would just go somewhere else that has a better program and walk- on! thumb

Of course Lindsey is at the top of my list, but I would put Boo Weathers on here also!! He was exciting to watch against my boys, but I don't know about a 4.37 40!!Maybe mid/high 4.4, but that was in December!!

Well I know OR was great in the early 90's, but the past few yrs have been just decent! They can't get over the hump, and in my opinion the Rebs would win at least 3 of 5!! I still respect the wildcats though!!

Pretty good running back but not a 4.4!! Not too many high school players run a legit 4.4 forty, and that's coming from a guy who runs a 4.35!! Just my opinion though!!

Of course Riverdale would crush Alcoa, and probably anyone else they played! But you got to understand that Alcoa only has around 300 students compared to Riverdale's 1500+ students!! Triple Alcoa's numbers and this could be a different ball game!!

We can't talke about beating Riverdale until we beat Maryville! Riverdale is probably as big as Maryville and as fast as Alcoa!! Now if Alcoa and Maryville combined schools.........ooooooh!! That would be a different story!

Duck is at the top of my list from Alcoa!! I won't comment on UT Football........I did yell at Duck for choosing UT though! Deep inside he will always bleed ORANGE and BLUE!!!!!

Hey alcoa06, I'm a die hard to the bone Alcoa faithful, but I don't like the rep that you're giving the Alcoanation!! I agree, this should be a great year for us, but you're making it seem like it's gonna be a cake walk! It is very possible for us to lose up to 4 games and still will the state title, but hopefully the boys will stay focused and get the job done. This could be the best Alcoa team since 2000, and 89'! thumb

I wasn't going to say anything, but I don't think Fulton or AE could beat Alcoa!!!! I mean AE moved out of 2a b/c they knew if they stayed then they would never win another title!! The next year they go and win in 3a!! In my opinion, 2a is stronger than 3a!!! thumb

Once again, Alcoa shouldn't be tested until the semi's and by then they will be very hard for anyone to handle!!!!! I'm looking for the Mighty Tornadoes to win Back-to-Back Titles!!!!! thumb
