Michelle Snow will be the mvp and i think Lamar Rogers will be the coach of the year as well..Hard to argue with the district champs

i believe it depends on what situation ur team is in whether u should play a tough schedule. If your team has a shot at playing for the state championship, then u should challenge them by making them play the best teams. This is done to keep them level headed, as far as not getting overconfident by winning every game as well as making them play against the best competition..Sometimes it helps more to lose a hard fought game to a great team than to win a blowout and not have your starters play more than 2 quarters. However, if your team will not likely challenge for a championship because they aren't ready to compete on that level, or whether they are just a young team, you may want to schedule some weaker teams. A young team or a team that hasn't "broke through" yet needs to build their confidence. Playing a tough schedule and getting blowed out will not help their future development. It all amounts to knowing your team and knowing how they will respond to challenges.

i haven't heard who got the number one seed..but both clay co and pickett will be moving on to region tourn as a result of their first round bye..also, to answer your question, the district tournament will be held in the new Upperman gym this year

I disagree with u hollywood..it's not embarrasing..it's a fundamental skill of the game..it's not a way to get out of playing defense..it is playing defense..i dunno bout the kid from Richland..but duncan for york usually gets his charges by coming from helpside..i don't think that's lazy at all...that is a way of picking his teammates up. i'd rather have 5 guys who are willing to take charges than 5 who think they can score at will..congradulations guys.

What grade is Brad West in? is he a jr?

i've seen Oneida play this year and they aren't very good..pickett should win by 20 at home and 10+ hopefully on the road..the refs are always harder at their place.

That's assuming Clay Co beats pickett at pickett..i don't see it happening.

I think LA is playin some really good ball right now, but some of their fans (not to mention any names Gore2006) have choosen to bring about a level of childish behavior, that i'm sure none of the LA players themselves would condone. Talking smack on the Pickett/Clarkrange thread was very uncalled for..I try to stick to the facts and the fact is that pickett is 2-1 against LA this year....Not sure on this one, but i believe LA Is third in their own district this year..Fact is Pickett has been to state 3 of the last 4 years.. I think most of LA's players would trade a 12 point win over pickett in the regular season for a chance to play in a state tournament game..On another note, pickett is single A and LA is AA so you would think they would be 3-0 against us this year instead of 1-2..I wish LA players the best of luck this year and hope they continue to represent their school and county with the type of respect that a few of their fans would know nothing about..Maybe they will keep playing at this high level and avoid becoming overconfident., because Jackson Co. is playing really well right now too..And Upperman only has one district loss so far..York is playing bad right now, but they have won the last 2 yrs and with 2 of the best players in the district can upset anyone on any given night..Smith Co can pull an upset as well if teams overlook them..With that, good luck to LA.

Hey LA freak..first of all this is a thread about Pickett and Clarkrange..2nd of all..we are 2-1 against ya'll this year...3rd of all..don't talk to Pickett about success unless u can get past regionals, which i don't think youn's have in, well, in my lifetime..LA has a good team, but a few wins in a row doesn't give u a right to disrespect any other teams..I have a great deal of respect for LA and every other team we have played this year..Back to the topic at hand..Clarkrange has been playin better lately..I think they keep it within 15...But Pickett still gets the win.

Never seen Insell coach, but he must be good..I'm goin with the winningest coach, Lamar Rogers from Clarkrange..and Jim Brown, he's blingin'

It doesn't matter who wins the district..None of these teams has stepped up enough to make a good postseason run right now anyway. LA is the hot team right now and could be very dangerous..I think Upperman has the best all around team and should be the favorite to win it.. I mean afterall they only have one district loss everyone else has 4 or more. I see 1. Upperman..2..LA 3.York 4.Jackson Co..5. Smith Co. with Dekalb and Cannon battling for the 6 spot. That's the way I see the regular season.. In the post season who knows? Jackson Co or Smith Co could advance and any of the top 3 teams could get left behind.

Clay Co wins by 8..too much Chase Stephens and their d is too tough..Jackson Co keeps it close with some good shooting.

Congradulations wildcat9044 you won a game..I also remember York beating LA at LA earlier this season...I remember Pickett beating LA twice already this season..By the way, when was the last time LA boys won a district tournament? York has won the last two...Just because LA is hot right now and York is playing bad, I don't think u should over react. I'm sure the LA players are happy with the big win, but wouldn't go as far as to say york NO Be careful what u say, because u still have to play york and Upperman again.

That's awful brave livingsonfreak considering Pickett has won big against LA twice already this year. LA is playing really well right now..Brad West is having a really good run right now and is a huge key for LA. When Pickett played LA in the Christmas tourny LA had a good game plan..they held Pickett's offense to one of their loWest point totals of the season..I still think Pickett gets the win, but i think it will be a 5 point game.

i think they've only lost 3 games this year..i could be wrong though..good post player..he's like 6'0 or 6'1..have 6 or 7 players who can play and are versitile..have prolly 2 players who could start for some high school teams already..really good shooting team and plays an aggressive defense.
