  4. Can not be said any better--not only good memories but GREAT memories Glad to have many of the games played in the PIT, will always be able to watch them and REMEMBER.
  5. Believe it or not but there is a "BRIGHT" light at the end of this tunnel--more to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Thanks Matador, I believe only prayers will get us through this, As for the boys, they came out Fri. night and beat a team(56-52) that had beaten them earlier in the season 58-48. Auther Moss who is filling in said the boys were jumping and excited in the locker room after the game. Like i said before these kids have grown and matured a lot with what has been put on their shoulders-more than some of the parents. They just want to play basketball, have fun doing it and give their very best to win. My hat is off to Auther Moss and Mason Story for the great job they done with this team in Fri. nights game coming away with the victory. I ask ALL REBEL FANS to come out Tues. night and support both of the REBEL teams and let them know you there for them. They not only need it they DESERVE IT
  7. REBELS take the win over Dyer Co 56-52 after loosing to them early in the season 58-48. One of the BEST games i have seen the REBELS play this year. Sr John Sawyer had 31 points, Fr. Nick Gilliam had 15 and soph Logan Parker and Cory Gibson had 5 apiece. Rusty Davis done a great job on the boards and protecting the ball, Rebels had ONLY 12 TURNOVERS (been avg 22-25) GREAT games boys. At the end of one-15-13 REBELS-halftime- 26-21 REBELS, AT THE END OF 3 TIED UP 32-32. My hat is off to this team, so many distractions and yet they kept their composure and play a very hard and physical game, they are having to grow up faster than they need to. Also Great REBEL crowd involment and support. Rebels now 9-14 overall and 4-5 in dist. with one more dist game left (Crockett Co) Lets come out and show the Rebels we support them. PROUD OF YOU REBELS!!!!
  8. GREAT post backinthaoc, as i have talked with many of the fans at OC I hear nothing but how this man has brought this team to new heights, how he has built disciple in these kids, how he has made this a TEAM. Not the best team in this area but one that will give you all they can for 4 quarters. A win is a win, I don't care how you look at, it is better than a lost anytime. Any win can do nothing but help put confindence in a team--the last time the REBELS won 3 games in a roll was back in 2001, this speaks well of the direction that coach Jones (in a small amount of time) has brought this team and will make his team better as they go through the remaining season. Please, anyone, don't take away from these kid the accomplishment they have worked so hard for. I love these kids and PROUD to be a part of this program THEY DESERVE nothing but praise and postive words from us the fans. GO REBELS
  9. REBELS win a BIG dist. game over Gibson Co. in OT-57-55. At the end of one Gibson had the lead 16-10--halftime REBELS 24-23, at the end of 3-Gibson Co 36-34. AT the end of regular play 48-48. In ot the pioneers score first, but the REBELS just kept on coming and won the game 57-55. The REBELS had unofficially 23 turnovers, mostly caused by themselfs.Great win REBELS and I truly, seriously believe you have turn a corner in getting this program back to were it needs to be going. Again congraulation to first year head coach Barry Jones and his team, already excited about going to Milan another dist. game were the REBELS won the first game 47-43 . GOOD LUCK REBELS!!!!!!
  10. I believe the game Tues. night will tell a lot about this young team, most teams that have several young players as OC does will play inconsistence, play great one night and not so good the next night. I do believe these boys have mature a lot this season and will play hard the entire game, will they win, depends on which team show up that night. YES Seriously!!!!! I believe!!!you don't thats find. GO REBELS!!!
  11. Yes I agree with you, I believe first year head coach Barry Jones is doing exactly what he said he would do, taking small steps, winning small victories, building, bulding, building, learning who needs to be on the floor at certain times and who doesn't. Teaching these young boys (1sr- 1jr-2soph-1fr has been his starting lineup) what they can do. One note on the Crockett Co game, the REBELS both girls and boys did not get very many calls their way. Yes the REBELS have turned it around and they will be a team to watch out for in the future. "GO REBELS"
  12. Not for sure, but seems like i read somewhere they had to hold 1500-1800.
  13. I have been trying to get some information on doing the broadcasting of our local games on this site, have been unable to send email to the one given. I have been filming and calling play by play of football and basketball for the last 9years to be shown on our local Charter Media cable channel 2 PUBLIC ACCESS station. This is done as a communtity service and I receive no pay, all help is voluntary, and I believe this would be a great way to get these kids more exposure. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Buddy
  14. Sorry if i am wrong, just going by what coachT had: Overall record-5-8 Dist-0-2 and Region-0-3. If this is not correct, would you correct?
  15. With the REBELS coming in at 5-7 and 1-1 in dist. and the Chargers coming in with a 5-8 and 0-2 in dist. this could be a good game. Like to see the Rebels start this new year off with a B I G dist. win. Go REBELS
  16. Congraulation Kevin, I knew a man of your talent would not be out of the business long, good luck from a REBEL fan.
  17. Coud you explain to me how you do this, as I am very interested in this type of program. What needs to be done, what all equipment you need, how many personal people it would take and how much area does it cover, and how expensive is it. Thanks---any info would be much appreciated.
  18. Don't know if you saw the game or not, but the REBELS played very sloppy and lots out of control--with that said , I do believe we are getting better, when you have 1 fresh, 3 soph, and 1 sr. on the floor playing against 2 sr and 3 jr, you expect a little out of control playing. First year head coach Barry Jones is being very patience with this young team and giving several players (mostly soph) some good playing time. To answer your question, again it will be a very up-tempo game, not pretty at times, with lots of turnovers on both sides of the ball (25 TO last game for OC) REBELS HAD A 14 POINT lead in the 2nd quarter (19-5) and won only by 4, look for thr REBELS to make it 2 in a row.
  19. You are not suppose to come to the ''PIT'' and shoot 3's and make them like the Pioneers did so EASELY in this game. The REBELS need to play some D E F E N S E. If they can do that, then and only then will they be a team to be reckon with. If you do not allow a team to score many points, then you will not have to score as many to beat them. Elementary. Good Luck REBELS--- You Can Do It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Brighton wins 90-43 was reported over the radio.
  21. Rebels first District game at the Pit, your thoughts on how they will do against the Pioneers.
  22. Don't know anything about that, seems like you do--is that from experience? I just got through reading something that fits in here-it says "Don't trade words with a babbling fool"
  23. Even though the Rebels lost in OT last night to a very BIG AND TALL team in Fulton Co. KY 60-68, I believe the Rebels have got and will continue to get better each game. I seen a big difference in the Rebels overall performance last night and first year head coach Barry Jones will find the RIGHT combination he needs to have on the floor to come away with a win. I seen some GREAT coaching last night from coach Jones as he was up aganist a very atheltic and very physical Pilot team. THE Rebels played catchup the whole game, the pilots biggest lead was 10 points--36-46 with 6:54 left in the 4th quarter, The Rebels never--never gave up and with 3:17 left in regular play the Rebels cut it to 1 point-47-48. and on two free throws from John Sawyer with 1:17 sec. left the REBELS took their first lead. At the end of regular play the score was tied at 55-55. At the end of one-10-13,2nd-22-28-3rd-36-42. With no more height, bulk, or wickness these Rebels have, they play great as a team and I believe will be a team to look out for. Good luck to the REBELS and coach Jones
