It is no surprise that Heritage's qb got thrown out of the game. He is a hothead and is always starting something. He shows poor sportsmanship and I can't stand him. This may not be his last suspension of the season knowing this kid. Obviously I'm not a Forrest fan, just a Robertson county onlooker. I think Forrest wins because Heritage can't line up and smash the football. They've been playing passing league ball even in games, and that crap doesn't cut it. Especially now that the hot shot qb is out.

Jo Byrns will win the game, but not because they are overly good. Its because East is awful. Jo Byrns will be 2nd or 3rd in their region probably but they'll win this one easy. East may not win a game all year. Terrible!

Sycamore better get ready to get pounded by in-county rival Cheatham County this season. Sycamore escaped by the skin of their teeth last season and Cheatham was rebuilding while Sycamore had one of their best teams. Cheatham will again out coach Sycamore and the final score will be like, 42-20 or something like that.

Why don't coaches stick with offutt? What are the expectations of the team and coaches for next season?

I hear the coach is having trouble getting any of the principals to hire his coaches. He can't get a coach hired. Northwest doesn't have openings that most coaches are endorsed in. I don't know what he is going to do. He'll probably get stuck with whatever he can get hired. The school system needs to help him out. Not to mention some of these principals.

I think the head coach will be just fine here at Northwest. I hear good things from some of the players and I think they are on the right path. I hope he can find some suitable assistants and the principals will help him get some hired. I hear that at least one of them will have to work in another school because Northwest doesn't have the right openings for coaches. I think one is looking at New Providence middle to teach, so maybe the principal there will help the coaches out and get a good staff on there at Northwest.

The coach will be in town next week and will be running spring practice. He is under contract in Alabama right now and must remain there till the end of the school year. He is in his upper 30's and has been a Defensive Coordinator at a 6A school in Bama. They don't just hand positions like that out for schools of that size, so I guess he probably knows ball a little. Just be patient, and remember he can't do much worse. I think the program in on the up and up. We'll have to see.

Why are they miserable with the new guy? Because he is making them work out and try to become the winning program he envisions. How dare he? This day and age if anyone makes the kids work or do anything that the kids don't like people go to yelling about how is a bad coach. However if he sits on his butt and doesn't make them work they say how nice of a guy he is. People need to stop being losers.

Cheatham's scrimmage with Northeast today has been cancelled because the storm messed up northeast's field. They are playing at Cheatham in the season, so they decided to cancel it. Cheatham was looking forward to the work, but they will be out there working hard at practice instead. I don't know if they'll give the district a run for its money, but it definately isn't the Cheatham of the last few years.

Congratulations to Springer and good luck to him in the future. I will say one thing about this young man, he is a winner and a warrior on the field. He played a lot of games hurt and led his team well. Going to play at UTM means so much more than it used to. Now it is a big deal and a great school. Congrats Springer, Congrats Coaches, and congrats Lake County for producing this great young man.

This is great. I'm glad to see them get a program. Now if we could just get Clarksburg and Bradford to get with the program.

They'll need to recruit now. It's gonna be rough. The biggest jump of all classifications is between 1A and 2A.

I'm glad to see Trinity doing so well. They were always the classiest private around.

I know I have learned more from Coach Finley in 1 year than I did in 10 years from my old coach. He's a great coach. I can't believe someone hasn't offerered him some $$$ to come coach for them.

I think Tennessee would take him. He is visiting this weekend I believe. His grades are an issue. I hope he can get elligable. We'll see though

Hey guys I started this topic just out of interest. I didn't mean to start all the drama. Its kind of funny that you guys would spend your time bashing me on here. I would hope you had something better to do. I don't know who you people are, but you don't bother me. I wish the best for coach Rodehaver as he and I have coached together before. I have tried to share some of the things I have learned at Cheatham with him, and I guarantee the offense will be better if they can get the kids to grasp it. I also have a good friend who is doing some volunteer work with them and doing a great job in Adam Dowland. Him and I have talked many hours about football as well as that situation. I know he is helping a lot and for 0 dollars. I am sorry if you guys knew the old me who talked a bit too much, but that was years ago. Being married with kids and becoming a coach has changed me a lot. Yes, I could have played at a lot of schools, but academics were a key to lots of those doors along with football. You guys can keep up the bashing if you choose...not a big deal to me...I am happy at Cheatham because we have a great staff and I'm truly learning a ton about being a coach and about football itself. My feet are getting wet being a head coach of a struggling program in baseball, so we'll see how that turns out. Good luck to Greenfield...this thread is about them not myself. Does anyone have any leads or ideas to who it may be. I know whoever it is has his work cut out for him, because they are one of the smallest schools in the state, and they are in a tough region. Good luck to whoever it is. Please share if you have any info.

All I know is this... The huge matchup between Jackson SS and Crockett County WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!! South Side goes down hard to Lipscomb, and there is no question about it. Lipscomb will hang half a hundred on SS if they are smart enough to throw the ball some. I know coach Mac doesn't throw very much, but if he watches the Cheatham vs. SS tape even he will see that they need to throw it some. Lipscomb beats SS in the third round...52-28. Nice Season SS, you guys have a great offense, but the defense will let you down in the end.
