  1. If you key in on Campbell and Dunbar, that's where KJ Montague will come in. KJ is quick as well and picks up his yardage. Does Adamsville have any team speed? All I hear is about how they are big and can hit hard. You ain't going to hit Campbell hard if you can't catch him.
  2. Hey, I've got to remember who is playing in the playoffs and who ain't playing in the playoffs, lol. My team is not in the playoffs so I better watch what I say, lol.
  3. The girl from Calloway Co. is very good. She sure would look good in a Skyhawk uniform in a couple of years!
  4. LOL, it's good. I don't get offended by nothing said on here. It's all in good fun. I apologize if I upset you as well. I don't mean any harm or damage by anything said on here from me. I will delete my first post I made on here to you as it might've been a little harsh. I do think that Adamsville will come out weak in this game though. Being off for 2 weeks with no game action will be tough. Yes, they'll be fresh and ready to play, but they'll be rusty getting started and the playoffs are no place to be rusty. Once again, I apologize and good luck to the Cardinals!!!!
  5. Hey, I'll give it to ya though.... atleast you can spell!!!
  6. That's a big ole boy!!! I really want to watch ya'll play this year, especially Keiwone. Mitchell gave Catholic everything they wanted in the state championship last year. If I remember right, Keiwone had a great game against Catholic. I'll be at all of the state championships this year so Mitchell better make it!!! Good Luck to your boys!
  7. Roy, you're a legend, lol... I get a kick out of your posts, but they are very informative at the same time. Do you keep your Murphy Fair book right next to your pillow at night as well?
  8. Galilee, according to the Mitchell roster on here, you guys have a player, #57 Donavan Robinsin, that is 6'2 420 lbs. Is that legit!?!?!?!? As for this game, Mitchell is too explosive and is headed back to play for a state championship. I talked to someone that was at the Mitchell/North Side game and they said Mitchell is unreal. I was told that Keiwone Malone catches everything thrown his direction. North Side was actually a pretty solid team this year compared to years past! Don't let the score of that game make you think that North Side wasn't any good because they were talented and well coached this year.
  9. Well, I've decided to come to this game instead of the Westview @ Camden game. I haven't gotten to see Henry Co. yet this year and I've been meaning to. By looking at the 2 teams records, it should be a great ball game. See ya'll in Paris Friday!
  10. You will be stickin' to girls basketball after Friday night because your football season will be over with! Do ya'll even have girls basketball? Or even boys basketball for that fact? Anyone with common sense on the game of football knows that a team normally has a let down following a bye week, let alone 2 bye weeks! Quan Campbell is one of the best RB's in West TN and will most likely be the best RB Adamsville has seen this year. Darren Dunbar is tall and athletic and can see over the defense easily to find his WR's. Is KJ Montague back yet? If he is, he'll be another big factor for Adamsville to stop. It seems as if the Adamsville is taking Humboldt lightly. That might be a mistake!!!
  11. ptguard12, did you get to see the big girl from Colloway Co. KY? She's only a Junior and going to be for real over the next 2 years.
  12. Westview did a pretty awesome job of putting this on and matching teams up evenly with who they thought would be a good matchup for the other team. There were tons of teams there as well. There were also some big time prospects that played yesterday as well. I'll start out with Single A. Lake Co. looked very solid yesterday and used their full court pressure to get most of their points off of turnovers. They lost 1 out of 3 games yesterday and that was to AA Covington by 2 or 3 points. Perry Co. didn't look bad at all and neither did Wayne Co. Wayne Co. has a Junior forward that is great! I believe her name is Carly or something like that. She's a great ball player and will be getting some looks from some great colleges over the next 2 years. I watched Collinwood for just a few minutes and they didn't look nearly as good as the 3 I have mentioned. Madison is young and has a Freshman that is going to be another Morgan Faulkner by her Senior year. I'm not sure on the girls name, but she's a great player as a Freshman. In Double A, the best team there was Westview of course. They beat almost every team they played fairly easy with the exception of McNairy Central. McNairy played very strong defense and that kept them in the game with Westview. McNairy is well coached, well disciplined, and a scrappy group of players. They could surprise teams this year if they chose to overlook 'em. Milan is going to struggle big time this year. I was confused as to why they had Perica Glenn out on the perimeter shooting 3's in 2 of the games I saw them play in. She has been dominant in the post over these past couple of years and will most likely play the post position at UTM. Obion Co. is definately better this year than they were last year in my opinion. Fussell went down at the very end of the first game with a high ankle sprain. In the second game they played without her and you really couldn't tell that much of a difference. They played well with and without her. They are definately in the running with Westview and GC this year! In Triple A, Liberty Tech impressed me a bit. They have 2 post players that will wind up D1. From what I hear, the one post player is already receiving big time interest as she enters into her Senior year. The other post player is only like a Sophomore or Junior. They were both strong on the boards and scored fairly easy against the smaller post players. I'm curious as to how they'll do against someone close to their size.
  13. I agree as well. Adamsville has no momentum going into the game and will most likely come out playing flat. Being off for 2 weeks WILL hurt Adamsville. I'm taking Humboldt in this upset as well. I predict Quan Campbell to run crazy in this one.
  14. Coach, I've tried entering Gibson Co.'s schedule on 3 different occasions. It has given me an error each time in a yellow box. Here's a link of our schedule if someone else wants to try it: http://www.gcssd.org/gchs/1GirlsBasketball.html
  15. I got to see quite a few of the 14A teams play today. My take on each team. Lake Co. - TT has gotten even better since last year. The comments I've made about her not using a left hand are not a factor anymore. She used her left hand just as much as her right hand and was killing players with her crossover. TT is definately going to finish with a great career at Lake Co. by her Senior season. Shamon does not play like a Freshman. She is extremely good and a huge factor for this Lake Co. team. Carnation, Shamon, and TT are going to be a very very tough trio for any team to knock off along with the Mitchell girl knocking threes down from the outside. Lake Co. is extremely young and will be making some deeeeep runs into the postseason these next 3-4 years!!! Good Luck! Greenfield - After today, I believe Greenfield is the only team in the District that might beat Lake Co. Greenfield is fundamental and is capable of beating Lake Co. Jordan Gailey is the "star" on this team and does an extremely good job. Greenfield has a well-balanced team and plays extremely hard for their coach. I must admit, Greenfield was better than I thought they'd be. Humboldt - They return quite a bit back from last year and seem to be the same Humboldt team. They're are quick and very athletic as known. They make some stupid mistakes sometimes which really hurts them especially in the crucial situations I saw them in today. Humboldt is just as athletic as Lake Co., but Lake Co. doesn't make as many bad mistakes as Humboldt does. Bradford - Bradford won't be the same Bradford as years past. This team has some experience on the floor, but they also play alot of younger players that aren't as good as Street, Wallsmith, or Combs. The girl that transferred from Bradford to Liberty hurt this team quite a bit. Coach Eddings could've definately used her this year. This team will go as Street, Wallsmith, and Combs go. They are capable of upsetting Lake Co., but it'll definately have to take more than those 3 to do it. Union City - Union City looked fairly decent out there today. I watched them play against West Carroll, I believe, and Union City held their own in that game. They played hard for their new coach, but the talent level just isn't there in order for them to compete with the tops in this District, however they're athletic.
  16. Can you give me more of a rundown on Beth Hawn. PPG, rebounds, steals etc... I see where she's headed to play college ball for Coach McMillan at UTM and I'm not really familiar with her.
  17. This will be the game I go watch next Friday. I'll take Camden by 8.
  18. LOL, all of the people that have seen Alcoa and MUS play say that MUS is clearly better. All of the people who haven't seen MUS, ALCOA FANS, claim that Alcoa could play with 'em, lol. Maybe, you guys look like the idiots here and don't realize it! muffin has seen Alcoa and MUS and her moreless agreed with me. bulldogfan has seen MUS and Alcoa and has agreed with me. bigvalvenus has seen MUS and Alcoa play and has agreed with me. There's a trend going here.
  19. This is the wrong board for this discussion. With that being said... I've seen both teams play this year. MUS would beat Alcoa by 17-21 points. Yes, Alcoa fans will argue, but they have never seen MUS play either. MUS is the best high school team in Tennessee.
  20. If Clarkrange avoids injury this year, they'll be back to back Single A state champs.

  22. I agree. Anyone is beatable in the playoffs and upsets do happen. I just believe Milan has the size up front and the speed in the secondary to be able to contain the big plays. However, if Stewart Co. gets the 3-4 yards per carry and keeps that clock rolling, like this offense is aimed to do, Stewart Co. could very well keep this a ball game. If anyone wants to see the triple option run to perfection, check out this years Georgia Tech team. They started out unranked and now are in the top 10 in the BCS running this triple option offense. I love watching it being ran, especially with a Georgia Tech team. Looking forward to Friday night!!!!
  23. bigster, are you going to UTM Saturday morning for the play day? According to the schedule that ParisRiverRat put on here, there's going to be alot more teams this year than last year. Also, last year this play day was hosted at Westview High School. Now I see they've moved it to the Elam Center and the Field House. Should be some good basketball played!
  24. I heard that Stewart Co. runs the triple option offense. If Milan stacks the box and keeps outside contain, they'll win by as many as they want.
