It’s obvious you’re bitter that South Side didn’t get Q Miller on the list last year... and you haven’t been around Khyla either if you’re saying she doesn’t have good character. That’s a personal attack on a kid and really not cool. Also, you were nowhere around Khyla at all this summer I know for a fact. It’s pretty amazing that you say all of this, especially when a lot of people on here know who you are whether you think we do or not. Also, the AAU team that players play on is pointless here... but usually the best players do have Division 1 offers and do want to play on the best travel teams.

Add Khyla Wade-Warren in AA to this statement as well... McNairy Central wouldn't be in top 4 of district without her... and with her, they're a top 10 team in AA....

I'm saying, if there is a kid good enough to be considered for Miss Basketball, then she should make that team one of the best teams in the state in its classification.

If you're not good enough to make your team one of the best in the state, then you're not a Miss Basketball finalist... sorry..... I'm not real sure who you're referring to about not being the best player on their team....

My opinion.... I think if you're going to be a Miss Basketball finalist, you should absolutely be on one of the best teams in the state with an exception here and there. And if your team isn't one of the best teams in the state, you better be putting up big time numbers. Not everyone can get a trophy here, and the finalist mentioned are worthy. Are there some other players who could replace one of the finalist, sure.... but only 3 are mentioned as finalist. One thing that I will agree with that Quatrefoil mentioned is the character of the player and the way things are done within that player's success. I will agree with that...

It would be a good game... hopefully these two meet in the state championship game...

I was impressed with the freshman last night in this game... my first time to really see her and watch her game. Kid has a chance!

Agree with this 100%... Callins is a game changer... they’re capable of beating anyone in the state with their size, skilled players, athleticism, and shooters... I would say the most balanced AA team in the state.

Ensworth would be a good job also.... he likely was in the middle of his state championship runs and did not want to give that up at the time. Olive Branch is every bit the job that Ensworth is as far as on the field talent. Olive Branch is a perennial powerhouse in Mississippi with multiple D1 kids each year.

Right... I was talking in recent years... but he is in the conversation with Tucker, Morris, etc....

and how many state championships did he win? He is/was the best coach in rural West TN and that's not up for debate. It sucks to see him leaving the area to go out of state.

I'm sure Bowling knows that offense enough to be able to implement passing plays when he needs to. The guy has been running the offense for nearly 2 decades.... he will have success at Olive Branch, winners win....

Who is making sense as a hire for Union City.... Morgan Cruce would make some sense with ties back to the community, previous assistant at UC, and having some success at Bethel as an assistant. That's not a rumor I've heard, just a name that I was trying to match up with the job. Who else makes sense for this job?

I just think Loretto is the better team... at their place tonight.... on a neutral court, advantage Loretto... IDK, we will see....

The region tournament with Huntingdon mixed in there will be entertaining as well... 2 of those 3 will be in Murfreesboro. I'll take Loretto by 15 tonight.... Weathers won't lose to Summertown twice this year....

Interesting..... 4 classes of basketball in Tennessee does seem a bit too much to me, but I understand it gives more teams an opportunity to get there. I would be interested in seeing how they did the state tournament. If I remember right, I was told that the games would begin on Tuesday instead of Wednesday?

Me and you are on the same page for the most part... the kid is a very good high school basketball player, there’s no questions about it. I just know at a Belmont, MTSU, UTM, TN Tech, she’d be really good there as well.

Basketball is doing great in Weakley County, but there’s a different world of basketball outside of Weakley Co., and West TN for that matter. I have not bashed Chloe, in fact, I’ve made calls to try and help the case that you all are making. I’m a realistic person, and to say she could be the starting PG at Tennessee right now is an overstatement. The reality is, people on CoachT have made this situation a SEC or bust conversation which in return is setting this situation up for failure if she doesn’t wind up in the SEC. Chloe is a really good high school basketball player, a great kid from a great family, and will go down as such. But, people need to keep a realistic perspective on this stuff also.

Lol!!!! Massengil was a McDonald’s All-American in high school that played against the best players in the country night in and night out. She is a sophomore this year, and went a year without any development under Warlick. You all need to get out of Weakley County and watch more basketball!

Lakeway Christian's kids are eligible for Miss Basketball and they are TSSAA affiliated.
