  1. No if the kid wanted to join a gang or deal drugs he would've probably with or without football. However it possibly couldve helped lead him in a positive direction. If anything it did keep him off of the couch, eating potato chips, getting fat while playing X-Box. The kid has followed the rules. Look at the TSSAA rules, he is ok to play.
  2. /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> That boy is raw!
  3. So now the kid has found a positive in life. Would you rather him drop out, be on the streets, joing a gang, sell drugs, kill a few other youths and later be killed himself? Rules are rules and the way the TSSAA loves to punish schools they would've done something if he didn't abide by the rules.
  4. Liberty in an upset Lawrence (LT)Taylor will have another game winning catch
  5. I have heard that Evan Johnsey will be out for a few weeks with a bad back. Jemalle Vincent and others are picking up on the new offense while he is sidelined. Anyone know much about this?
  6. I can say that I have never done this in my life. I have also never watched a Northside game from the fence on the street off of University over to the right of the north endzone. I've noticed NSHS has put up that blue fence covering to try to prevent this.
  7. I respect and still like the Milan program. However I will jump on them each and every oppurunity I get for a while. It's is funny someone above posted that H-don fans were trying to weasel a way out of playing in Johnny Hale stadium. Yeah, and Milan has never weasled out of playing in another stadium. Oh BTW- It didn't matter if H-don played in JH stadium, they won anyway. And to think Rothrock is "so dangerous", get a life and get out of the huge city of Milan every now and then. Man, Milan made two trips to Memphis this year, how in the world did they handle that? I'm not downing everyone from Milan, just the simple minded ones who still spread the Urban Legend a of the gun being fired at The Rock during the jamboree to make themselves feel better about Milan weaseling out of playing at Rothrock.
  8. Huntingdon's RB- Phillip "Boo" Weathers
  9. Care to put up a wager on this? Must not know anything about TN Prep football if you think anyone in Tennessee(excluding UT and possibly Memphis Tigers) can put up 70 on the Golden Wildcats.
  10. Alberto Diaz at Crockett County Are punters included? If so I nominate Blake McAdams from Ripley.
  11. Lexington beat Liberty for Liberty's HC. Hard opponent for Liberty for a HC game but this is the time of year HC games are usually scheduled and the middle season games on the schedule are Jackson Southside, Lexington, and JCM. Lexington and Southside are usually equal teams so it didn't really make a difference, and heck no as far a having JCM as a HC game. and LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL at Milan for losing their HC. I will not have any respect for Milan this season for being scared(or whatever excuse they use) for coming to the Rock.
  12. USJ is usually a big contender to go to the state championship game in their class. Heck who's to say Milan isn't a powerhouse because they don't play Melrose, Germantown, Whitehaven, Haywood, etc. Oh yeah....still scared to come to Rothrock. No excuses, scared to come to the Rock but still gets beat and oh yeah, beat again this week.
  13. Yeah they had some cocky posts, but when your team is undefeated you have the right to be cocky. I wouldn't say one team was overrated and another was underrated, when you have two undefeated teams lining up against each other and the game going down to the final .6 seconds how can any team be called over or underrated? When you have two teams that are very similar facing off against each other this is the kind of result you should have, JCM wasn't blown out so therefore they are not overrated and Haywood isn't underrated because they were ranked in the state polls.
  14. Well I don't know if going 9-2, and winning the city championship last year is being considered a powerhouse but it was an impressive year no doubt. yeah i know they lost in the 1st round of the playoffs but they had some bad breaks go against them.
  15. I agree. They also played Crockett County pretty tough especially after calming down in the 2nd half. Also add in the fact that Liberty isn't losing too much this year as far as Seniors go. So they might be dangerous in the next year or so. But I'm not counting out this year yet.
  16. Didn't see any comments on the board after the nail biter this game was. Humboldt scored with about 15 seconds left with a pass from their backup QB set up by a facemask flag. Liberty played them super tough. Liberty is two plays(TD pass given uo to Humboldt and kickoff return to Northside) from being 2-1. Liberty traveling to McNairy Central will be a good game.
  17. Is anybody except Mustang fans around the Huntingdon program, players, coaches, and at pratice to determine they are cocky? Or is this opinion stated because people sitting behind a computer screen are cocky on a message board?
  18. There are tons of them QB's are Ripley's Blake McAdams Lexington's Ty Evans McKenzie's Drew Hall JCM's Rickey Borner USJ's Ryan Ross Just to name a few Bunch of RB's also Whoever runs the ball for Huntingdon Lexington's Cedric Fields Haywood County's Jacolby Bond Best WR around is Lexington's Kevis Buckley I guess in my opinion the best college prospects in the West are RB Jacolby Bond and Crockett County's Kicker Alberto Diaz. Best young player out there could be USJ'sWR-CB Josh Liles who is just a Soph. He also plays QB and has did that some in mop up duty this year and took over last year when Ross went down with an injury.
  19. Yes I would put Blake Browder on my watch list, saw him once last year and he looked pretty good but still don't know if I would rank him up there just yet, probably will later on in the season. I have heard tons of great things about Drew Hayes but just have never seen him in person. But from what I hear he is on my list. Sorry i left him off.
  20. Ty Evans- Lexington Brian Hall- C-Ville Rickey Borner- JCM Ryan Ross- USJ Chris Hirschfield- JCS Blake McAdams- Ripley Melrose's So. QB Courtney Madison is also having a pretty good year. He was slated to play WR or RB but is the QB. He is on the watch list
  21. I'm gonna say this first off. Middle TN is the best because they have different teams that win championships. Just because Maryville has numerous championships doesn't make up for the whole part of East TN. West and East are about even and Middle is better. It's kinda like college ball over the past 11 years the SEC has had 4 different teams(Bama.UF,UT,and LSU) win the NC which in my opinion makes them the best conference in college ball. Miami has had 5 NC's over the past 20 years or so and played in numerous other NC games but would you rate the Big East(yes I know they weren't always in the Big East and are now in the ACC) the best conference???? No. However West TN especially Memphis puts out the beat athletes but the teams are so spread out with talent at different places. Nashville also puts out great athletes.
