  1. Which schools have the best cheers, that can be put on this website?
  2. I saw the Halls game where they got blown out, say the uc game where they got blown out again. I will admit, OC hung with them till late second half. I don't rember the score to report but it was something like 93-73, i'm prolly wrong though.
  3. I'm glad you feel that way fitty cent. I've watched UC play many times this year and OC once. OC looked horrible and anyone team that UC beat would stomp them. Im looking for the freshman to get plenty of action.
  4. I was wondering if little plastic mega-phones are in violations of TSSAA rule for indoor gymnasiums. I've seen them in the past, but this is the first year that I have seen one taken up by a school official. Can anyone help me with this?
  5. I'm pretty sure it wasn't him now. Anyways, no clue. Saw some guy i recognized from the paper, just figured he might be back.

    Next Year

Punisher, do you always have to use exclamations in EVERY post? Union City will be a lot better next year. They are moving down to 1A, they have approx. 20 seniors, some who have started for 2 years and most who started last year. 5 missing starters on offense, 3 on defense. They also have Westview and Milan as the measuring stick to see how they'd still do in 7-2A.
  7. 1A-Union City 2A-Westview vs. Alcoa in boro
  8. I think i saw Kevin Weeks at the game...
  9. Union City wins 83-63. Union City is a legitimate contender for the gold ball. They might be overlooked because of their size, but they play a lot taller than they look as seen in the Covington game with their monsters. Union City's offense is uncomparable to anyone I've seen this year.
  10. Does anyone have any predictions on tonights game vs Covington or the rest of the season? I think this Covington game will be a high scoring one with Covington dumping it to their big guys and UC firing the three. UC-91 Covington-88
  11. In my opinion, the crowd may be slightly above average. There seems to be more support during the girls game than there has been in a while. The student section is pretty thick so far filling up most of the far corner of the stands. More people will start coming as this Union City boys team picks up steam and state-wide credit. This game Friday night agains #1 Covington looks to be a good one. Union City will be towered over by Covington, but Union City's athleticism and shooting will keep them in this game. If they win this one, maybe they'll get some more credit from the newspaper and more fans in the stands.
  12. I thought Evans was a Soph. I might be mistaken, just something for you to check on. I've seen Union City play a few times this year. UC is very small team, but out-hustles everyone and is in great shape. The speed at which they play is unbelievable for a high school team. They are very good at the transition game and can move the ball down the court. Everyone knows about Antwan and Marquis, but one player that doesn't get enough credit is Xavier Robinson. He outhustles everyone on the court, and he knows how to take on the charge. He is always physically overmatched, but somehow he ends up rebounding over everyone's best man. He doesn't get the ball enough either, that may be another weakness. They may be small down low, but they don't try enough to get the ball in their hands. Both Evans and Robinson have plenty chances down low to get an easy deuce. Another important fact, only one senior on the team. This could hurt them this year, and help them later on. I don't see this being much of a factor this year, but it is yet another thing to look forward to.
  13. punisher, are you a westview player, if so, what's your number?
  14. Not to take anything from the Skyhawks, but Friday night's game will fill up more than their season total. I'm comin from out of town, which side should i sit on....
  15. I'm tired of hearin bout Milan holding Markei Guy under 100 yards. It won't happen Friday night because Milan is overrated and so is Daylan Walker. Daylan is fast, but he's not that great of a runnin back, maybe track is in his future? Not a Westview fan, just someone who has no ties to either team.
  16. I think it should be done. It shows respect for the injured player(s). It could be anyone that gets injured. I was at a Union City game when the game was already decided and Union City player was injured while the Memphis Hillcrest huddle mocked him and made fun of him, this made me very irrate considering i think you should kneel anways. But on the matter of it being manadatory, no rule should say to, but the coach should tell the players what to do.
  17. Everyone is talkin about how much they've improved the past few year, but they really improved from this past spring to this fall. Union City scrimmaged them both times. In the first game it was fairly even, but I think UC was more physical and might've scored 1 more TD. This fall was a different story. Camden whipped up on ole UC pretty good. This shows they have a good off-season program and that they worked hard durin the summer. I'm rootin' for Camden.
  18. How young are JCS and West Carroll? Are these teams loaded with seniors, or are they depending on underclassmen? But besides that Milan would whip West Carroll, as would any 7-2a team, believe it or not. Anyone disagree?
  19. "THERE YA GO MILAN" HA! What a joke that guy is. I don't imagine Westview will hear that too much friday. Westview is too hot for the bulldogs. I just don't see enough aggressiveness on defense to shut down Guy, Hobock and Westview's young but talented line. Westview-31 Milan-20
  20. Most humble football players start conversations just to through their name on coach t. Good job Travis, way to make yourself feel good.
  21. Both teams are very athletic. I think Humboldt scores first, Milan responds once, twice, maybe three unanswered touchdowns and Humboldt lies down and let Milan have the region. -Milan-35 -Humboldt-7
  22. We might be looking at 15 purple stomps next year if everything goes as planned. They really need one for OC finally. Mckenzie might be tough with their air attack returning, and JCS is always good competition.
  23. Where are all the Union City posters? Do they not care about this game? It is coming down to a Rebel fan to defend the team. I'd like to hear from ya'll.
  24. This game depends on which of these teams shows up tonight. Both teams have been two-faced most of the season. Some weeks OC shows up with fire and comes out strong like in the trenton, uc, and covington weeks, other weeks they've just been whipped like gibson and dyer. (not taking anything away from those teams). This is the same with Humboldt who is very athletic and talented and almost got beaten by a much improved Liberty team. This should be a good game to watch. Good Luck Rebels.
  25. I might be wrong, but i didn't think career stats came into play for a mr. football candidacy. I mean that's why its called the 2004 Mr. Football. I know he's good, but he just didn't put up the stats that he's capable of.
