  3. You got the wrong guy... Franklymydear is a local follower of Fairview. How would I know what happened at the Indy/Fairview scrimmage? I was in Shelbyville at our scrimmage at the same time. Judging by your 2 posts, you appear to be someone with an axe to grind... Please leave me out of this discussion. Good luck to both Indy and Fairview next season. Chris Whitefield
  4. This is the real Coach Whitefield... you give me too much credit. Franklymydear is someone local in the Fairview community that follows the Jackets very closely... As for me, I have no idea about what's going on at Fairview these days... I've got plenty to concentrate on at Centennial. Please leave me out of this discussion. Good luck to the Yellowjackets this season. Chris Whitefield

  11. badkitty... leave this alone. It doesn't matter what others think... the only thing that matters is what you and your teammates think.
  12. Does Spring Hill have another scrimmage scheduled? If so, when and who is it against?
  13. Last night, Fairview defeated Richland 20-0 to go 2-2 in region 6-2A.
  14. Our hats are off to CPA... they are the real deal. They embarrassed us at our place in front of our fans. Their QB Lowery is a great player and their linebackers are as good as we've seen. We were outplayed and outcoached. We had guys in position and just didn't make the plays when we needed to. Against great teams, there isn't much margin for error. I hope that all of you enjoy piling onto Fairview after this defeat. There's not a lot to say after the way we played tonight. It'll probably be a little easier later in the playoffs when we get to watch both Goodpasture and CPA dominate 6-2a in their respective brackets. Good times. As for me, this will be my last post. And no, unlike Catfish Hunter... aka Big Country, I will not be reinventing myself at a later date. I think it might be a while before I'm done eating crow over this one. It's what I get for being too optimistic. Good luck to CPA on the rest of their season and especially in Week 10 versus Goodpasture.
  15. I never said that our #4 would beat your #1... in fact, I don't believe that will happen at all... top to bottom, region 5-2a was better last year than this year What would you say about 6-2a overall... better this year or last year?
  16. I shouldn't respond to this ignorance... but I can't help myself. Fairview was just the first school in 5-2a to play Goodpasture. And when people saw the final score, they rightfully thought that Fairview couldn't be that good. Fairview did play poorly against Goodpasture, but obviously that wasn't the only factor. But as time has gone on, Goodpasture just keeps hanging 60+ on each team they play. Region 6-2a.... your time is coming... and don't count on your #4 doing to GP what Richland did to East Robertson last year...
  17. Just for the record, in 2004, Camden defeated Fairview in the second round of the playoffs. They were a good team that dominated that game after they blocked a punt in the first quarter. Region 5-2a was completely different that year. With the addition of the private schools in 2005, Fairview took its lumps last year while adjusting to the competition level. This discussion will probably turn out to be a moot point. Unless Goodpasture's 3-deep at every position gets injured, there's no one in this half of the state that will touch them. Their only competition may be themselves. As far as just giving up 25-30 total points at this time in the season, I can't see that happening if Camden and Lewis played in 5-2a. Goodpasture can score as many as they want to right now, based on the way they have been playing.
  18. It is amazing... kind of like Alcoa felt after dominating GP in the state finals last year...
  19. Someone hasn't been paying attention... Fairview won their region championship 2 years ago. Since 2004, Fairview's record is 21-8. Not stellar, but respectable. If you saw how Fairview lost to DCA last year, you might understand why the Fairview folks are excited about this win. What's it to you? Are you just upset that DCA lost? Or that little ol' Fairview won? Do us a favor and stick to your own thread... or just pay a little closer attention before running your mouth.
  20. Congratulations Creekwood... way to get your season turned around. Good luck next week.
  21. Fairview (who went 6-4 and was fifth in 5-2A) played Waverly (who was 5-5) in this bowl game at Clarksville NE last year.
  22. This is a straight up lie. All of GP's starters were in the third quarter. As far as the issue of not running the score up, why did GP run a fake punt when they were up 42-13? That's real classy... And to show you that karma does really exist, their quarterback fumbled and Fairview ran it back for a touchdown. Pay closer attention or get a program... Fairview's starters were left in to try and clean up the mess they made. As far as the game.... Goodpasture deserved to win... they were very physical and very talented at all positions. I don't believe that anyone in this half of the state in 2a can touch them. I believe their loss in the finals is still driving them. Fairview made too many mistakes to keep this one close. There was zero margin for error by Fairview and GP made them pay for it. The players at Fairview aren't whining (they can't control what others in the community get on here and say). They are taking this butt-kicking as a lesson in how to prepare and play at a higher level. Good luck to Goodpasture and all of 5-2a.
  23. Sounds like Bolivar is much improved on offense. What kind of offensive scheme were they running against Adamsville?
