  1. No no no, he put his masculinity in the lockbox to make sure it was safe. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  2. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> You and 2P come and help me move, and we will have a cookout.
  3. And the latest....... The wife and I have found a home in Maryville and close in late June! It's a brand new home in a subdivision on the west side of the city. We'll be the third family to move in on our street, and it mainly meets all criteria already established (jacuuzi stylt bathtub included /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> ), although I doubt the garage would suit tex and/or dandy. We are going to have to put up a wood fence around the backyard. Most people I have talked to and places I have looked have said $12-15 a foot. Anybody here know any people in the Knoxville area they would recommend?
  4. My guess is Lipscomb being the only other one. How many people that go to Temple's high school attend their university as well?
  5. Here's how I would do it, from game 1 of the districts to the state title game. I'm going to use 2007 dates for how I would play it out. May 7-9 (Mon-Wed)- Region play in games for districts. Top two teams from regular season in each district automatically qualify for a region birth. Seeds 3 and 4 are determined by these play in games. Each district can determine how they want to do it. I prefer single elimination. May 10-18 (Thurs-Fri) - Regional tournaments throughout the state. 8 team, double elimination format in each tournament. Have the regional championship game(s) on the last Friday. Winner goes to state. May 23-26 (Wed-Sat) - State Tournament. Note the Wednesday start to give all teams pitching four days to rest up. Two pools, round robin games Wednesday-Friday. The two pool winners meet on Saturday for the state title. We can discuss tie-breakers later.
  6. I have no doubt Gore's intelligence. He's made more money convincing and looting the liberal masses that we are all going to either burn to death, drown when the ice caps melt, or whatever else he comes up with next week than he could have ever made as president. Used car salesmen and con-artists are pretty smart folks too. I have yet to find people who can talk any better than them. On the top of the intellectional evolution scale, I guess this is what we are all going to turn into. Stephen Hawking, though, must be an idiot. I mean, he has to use a machine to talk for him. We should probably discount everything he says too.
  7. A 15-2 loss to your in-state rival complete with 7 run 9th inning is always what you want when you are trying to make the NCAAs and save your job.
  8. Ole Miss won 6-3. UT/Vandy rematch tonight. I'm assuming Vandy is going to go with Minor. I haven't the foggiest who UT will throw. Suddenly Corbin's pitching strategy looks a lot smarter than what the masses were screaming Wednesday. But, if I am Vandy, I may save Minor until tomorrow. UT was only able to plate 6 runs against the Vandy wid-week starter and a guy who has 1/3 of Vandy's losses and was demoted from weekend starter to bullpen. If not for a brilliant performace by Atkins, Vandy would have beaten UT with that. I might try my chances with my #3 and throw Minor against Ole Miss tomorrow. UT is probably staring at thir final game of the season and hopefully coach's tenure tonight.
  9. My God you arrgoant imbicile, what would you have done and how would you have reacted? Let me rehash something here - like it or not President Bush is human. How did 99.9% of America react the first 7 minutes (I will suppose you are of the .1 that has no heart anyway and probably blasted Bush for not taking action soon enoug as you have continually done)? We sat there dumbfounded not having the damnest clue of what was going to happen and what to do. If you want to say Iraq was a mistake and other decisions have been as well - fine. You have more than enough evidence to support your claim. But how dare you have the absolute arrogance to make such a statement as that. ELA - I love your selective disdian of certain laws because they work against what is best for you as with the electorial college. As for all other claims of what would have happened is , who in the heck knows? My guess is that 9/11 would have still happened. After that, who the heck knows.
  10. David - I'm starting to go with your idea more and more. A tweak or two maybe. Another suggestion I have is to make the brackets in Murfreesboro pool play and the winners meet. Teams that advance all the way play 4 games in 4 days.
  11. Adkins threw a gem. Can't throw much better than he did tonight. Probably got UT in the regionals. But still need one more to be guaranteed.
  12. I made mine! Here is the link - http://www.hillaryclinton.com/action/spotlight/?sc=8 Also, notice the 9 songs there to vote on. Of the 9, at least 4 of them are from entertainers/groups that aren't American! U2 - Great Brittan (and in all honesty I am surprised Bono is letting her use these - he typically doesn't cater to either party) Shania Twain - Canada Smash Mouth - Australia And I am not sure of some of the others!
  13. Could you please at least do a little research and find one fact to base your opinions on, and not just how you think things work?
  14. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Dandy (or anyone), if you can find a youtube like to see the look on Snow's face when he was asked that, please post it.
  15. C'mon people, this is too easy. I give you all the reprised coacht edited version of that AC/DC classic.......... (best part is that I had to change zero words in the first stanza /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ) Living easy, livin' free Season ticket, on a one - way ride Asking nothing, leave me be Taking everything in my stride Don't need reason, don't need rhyme Ain't nothing I would rather do Going down, party time My friends are gonna be there too I'll lead you down the the highway to heck Highway to heck I'll lead you down the highway to heck Highway to heck No stop signs, speedin' limit Nobody's gonna slow me down Like a wheel, gonna spin it Nobody's gonna mess me 'round Hey Satan! Paid my dues. Playin' in US Senate Hey Monica! Look at me I'm on my way to be president! I'll lead you down the the highway to heck Highway to heck I'll lead you down the highway to heck Highway to heck Vote for me!
  16. cqg - Many are, trust me. Barring a miracle in the next month, I don't think he's back. As for the other.......... Actually, most of them probably weren't. Baseball teams are alotted 12.7 scholarships per NCAA rules. I don't know why, but they are. DelMonico has made common practice of using the scholarships on his Florida pipeline and other players out of state and asking many of the good local players to in essence be a walk-on. Now, to be fair, I do not know who is and who is not on scholarship at UT right now on the baseball team. Some local guys very well may be scholarship, I am just using what he has commonly done. That (plus other reasons I have heard through the grapevine not pertinent here) is why many in-state players, including local guys are not going to UT.
  17. Just out of curoisty, who are the announcing teams?
  18. I've sent the link to the pastors at church asking what our insurance coverage was for a major accident involving a child (flag football - it is going to happen eventually) and in worst case scnerio, lawsuit. It's probably one of those things where you just have to make sure you have compotent people in place that know what they are doing. You can rest assured I am going to double check my people this fall to make sure they are compotent. I don't think this case will fly. I have a feeling it's going to be 99-1 of people saying this guy coached proper baseball based on the article. Sounds like someone trying to make a buck. But, if a child has been poorly coached, someone may have a case some day. You never know.
  19. My premise is that I lived in Williamson County for two years and I know many people there that in the long run will spend much more than 6K a year so they will be in Williamson Co. for schools and not surrounding counties. Why? Because they know the schools are better and their kids (presumably) will get a better education. Please tell me the difference in reasoning of any of these parents versus parents who choose to send their kids to USJ or any other private school? Because one is public and one is private? I am sure there are kids at Page under this concept because the southern end of Williamson Co. is currently growing so fast they don't know what to do with them.
  20. Solomon

    Sonny Grey

Any idea on if he actually offered him a scholarship, or did he use his token "let me save scholarships for Florida players and you walk on because you are in-state" strategy?

    Sonny Grey

Sonny Grey.........that is an old fashioned baseball name if there ever was one. Just out of curosity, was he recruited at all by DelMoronico?
  22. That's almost lauaghable considering your county of residence.
  23. The ONLY reason UT is in the tournament is because Saturday night in the series against SC there was just enough humidity and breeze blowing in to keep SC in the park. First pitch of the game was hit 402 feet to center field, and it just died in the breeze.
  24. It was only a matter of time.
