  1. I totally agree with this post.... they play no one out side of TN.... they dont even play brentwood acad or MBA or C. Bro.s . Anytime a team has to travel 900 miles to find a challange.... THATS IMPRESSIVE Murfressboro riverdale is a good team.... as they always are, but let them play some mre powerful teams and see what happens. also these rankings are bogus anyways, no one can truely cover the thousands of H.Schools in the USA to give them a national ranking.... unless you go 151-0, or over a 25 year period go 287-15-1 (their record)
  2. EAST: Kingsport Dobyns Bennett at Oak Ridge MIDDLE: Murfressboro Blackman @ Brentwood Dickson County at Hendersonville Hunters Lane at Whites Creek Nashville Overton at Antioch Pearl-Cohn at Centennial Portland at Trousdale County Riverdale at Lincoln County Smyrna at Gallatin Sycamore at White House WEST: Germantown at CBHS
  3. ok, here goes 1A-- CPA 2A-- Goodpasture 3A-- Trousdale Co. is always tough/ Rhea Co. 4A-- Pearl Cohn 5A-- Gallatin is on a vengiance
  4. iv competed in 2A- 4A- and 5A, i believe it is 5A Riverdale Lincoln Co Gallatin Germantown KP Dobyns Bennet Oakridge Hendersonville (untill this year) Dickson Co. Brentwood Franklin Smyrna 4A: Maryville Melrose maybe Pearl Cohn ...etc
  5. i have to go with.... Beech vs. Hendersonville it made the ESPN show on High school rivals (top 100 in the USA) and if i remember correctly... it was ranked 7th (show aired in the 2000 season) also my other rivals in TN KP Dobyns Bennet vs. Oakridge MBA vs BA Hendersonville vs. Gallatin Riverdale Vs. Oakland (lost a little steam but no love loss) Franklin vs. Brentwood
  6. this is always a close game, no matter how good/bad the teams are.... 1988 State Semi's (thier Championship year) DCHS 14- HHS 7 '97 HHS 14-DC 17 '98 HHS 22-DC 19 '99 HHS 30-DC 21 '00 HHS 19-DC 7 cant remember 01-04... wasnt on the team '01 beat them twice (once in season and then in 2nd round) '02 won in week 3 '03 lost in week 3 by a FG and won in 2nd round by a FG HHS leads Series 7-3 this is a great opportuinity for us to show our COMMANDO PRIDE
  7. well Creekwood has a great RB (#9) and also i believe the coaching staff is a little better than most think... they were a very hospitable team when we were there.... good luck to the Red Hawks also Clarks NE hopefully will come on strong, i love the fact they beat NW. although Rhea Co. (in another M board) was said to be one of the better 3A(?) teams Pearl Cohn w/ C. Fitz, always are tough, not so sure they are under-rated... remember they won 2 champs just a few years ago
  8. Hville and DC have always had close games... i think the biggest margin of V. has been less than 14 Will it be on TV this year? maybe not with the week 3 matchups Riverdale @ Lincoln Co KP Dobyns Bennet @ Oakridge(should be game of the week) Smyrna @ Gallatin Germantown @ CBHS
  9. no disrepect to WH bc they do have a good team... but springfield isnt a top 5 team... they went 1-9 last year or 2-8... WH is a good team, but it may be a lil early to say they should be a top ten team
  10. Congrats NE... i saw them play last year... sounds like they are getting that program where it needs to be... iv also heard that NW has no O-Line to speak of? Character always prevails!!!! congrats again
  11. yea, the HHS QB(dunno his name) threw a pic and Rhea Co returned it for a TD to go up 28-25.... earlier last week i heard Rhea Co was supposivly one of the best teams in 3-A(?) but i didnt believe them HHS has Dickson Co next game.... should be a great opportunity to show some COMMANDO PRIDE
  12. Hendersonville in 2001 also built a 3 million + field house.... complete with coaches offices, weight room, 90 locker locker room, complete training room with tubs and 4 tables, an equipment room that is about 30' x 40'(ish) , batting cages for baseball and finnally a 50 x 50 yard astro turf indoor field that was bought from the cle Browns. iv never sceen KP Dobyns Bennet, but i have heard it is also very nice. in my local area (Sumner Co.) Gallatin and WH's are nice also.
  13. i have to think gallatin kills them... glencliff really has never been anything... they reached the clinic bowl in 99 but all the tough teams that year were in the east. Gtown 42 Colts 10 good luck Coach L
  14. Will Anderson of Station Camp is a good pocket passer. The last part of your post wasn't necessary.
  15. Station Camp (reg 5-2A) has a good kicker, dont know his name. i do know he was suspended the 1st week and that really hurt them. i think his range is upper 40's on FG
  16. the most heart wrenching loss i can remember was 1999 3rd round of the playoffs... (5-A) Hendersonville was 12-0 Murf. Oakland was 9-3 .... 1 loss came from Hend. in week 2 but won 9 straight HHS and Oak. had played in the 98 clinic bowl HHs 24- Oak 46 ish.. that sounds close. 99 reg season ( in the same region) Oak 14- HHS 28 3rd round of the playoffs. infront of about 13,000 fans (accord to box sales) the box score was as follows 1 2 3 4 Murf Oakland 7 6 0 14 27 Hendersonville 7 6 7 7 27 Hendersonville was down 7 with 58 sec to go, threw a pic, but then recovered a Oak fumble on the 8 yrd line and Justin Wall scored with the clock reading 00:20 . in OT HHS went 4 and out and Oak scored on 3rd and goal on a QB sweep out of shot gun.... 33-27 Oak which Oak promptly losty to Sevier Co. who killed Glencliff in the finals... that hurt more than the loss.
  17. I totally agree with the post above about Station Camp; tonight, i witness the utter distruction of a football team. Their ONLY saving grace of an excuse, is the fact that Station Camp is a second year school. ofcourse the excuse of being the "new persons" of the football relm is/will run out very quickly. If they can not get a stable program up and running soon, they will never be able to pick up any talent... and will be deligated to 4-6 or worse every year. If there is an Internet pool on the final records of the Sumner Co. Teams... i want to be the first in line to get 0-10 for SC, B/c if many other people saw them play tonight... there will be a mad rush for that pick. Congrats to WH, they looked like they will have a good season, lots of talent in the tail back pos. #23 looked fast, also #4.... HHS, not so hot .... 5-5 again? Good Luck to all the Sumner Co teams this year (SC NEEDS IT MOST OF ALL)
