  1. If a coach has to come on the T to get information and a scouting report for the next school they play, he's probably not going to be coaching too long.
  2. Great game all the way around. The CAVS took it home though, looks like fanatic has some crow to start eating. GO CAVS
  3. Good luck tonight to 7-AAA and GO PATS and BLUE DEVILS
  4. Riverdale finished 6th in the district with a losing record overall and your talking like Riverdale finished 3rd or something. I think Riverdale is still a good team and that they have just severely underachieved, but to say that Oakland should be worried? Check the bracket. You would have to beat Cookeville and probably Siegel to get to Oakland. I just don't see that kind of turn around for the tournament. GO CAVS!
  5. This is a really dumb thread. You Murfreesboro guys are unbelieveable.
  6. This has to be the single worst post I have ever seen on the T.
  7. I agree, Matt is a gaurd trapped in a post's body. Matt does what he can and thats all you can ask.
  8. Matt and Roper are both good players on good teams. I respect Roper because of how much he contributes to Siegel's success. I am friends with Matt, and was on the team with him last year so I know he works hard too. Siegel/Cookeville will be a good game, but both teams have games before then. Also, I don't know anyone on Cookeville's team that would say or think that they don't have a chance against Siegel.
  9. No, its not. Why do you guys insist on making bad, cocky arguments about us when you really don't know as much as most of the posters on here? D2D has every right to think Roper's a better shooter like you think Matt is. Plus he did play, was a heck of a player, and knows a good deal about basketball. Maybe its you who should think before they post?
  10. Look, Matt is good player, shooter, and post, but he is not the MVP of the district or the best player. Matt works hard and has gotten better, but this district is full of talent on every team. My team would be: Ramsey Hill Oden Payne Allen
  11. Hill shoots better with a man in his face, and if Wade was gaurding him Matt would stay inside to beat him on the post.
  12. Cookeville trailed the majority of the game, but took control in the fourth quarter. Cookeville played decent defense and Wolf shut down Pressley in the second half. Lebanon attacked the basket like they always do for rebounds and got alot of second chance points. Hill was the leading scorer for Cookeville with 23 and Payne was the leading scorer for Lebanon with I think 15. Also, Williams for Cookeville and Walton for Lebanon played with excellent hustle and were big for their teams.
  13. Please stop making Cookeville fans look bad. I have nothing but total respect for Lebanon's players and their fans...they are very classy people. As for the game, Cookeville has been playing well but the post has to be a concern. Should be a great game! GO CAVS!
  14. Hard hitter, I'm not sure who you are, but your representation of Cookeville sports is making all of us look bad. Livingston is a really good team and will be good for a few years to come with their young players. You also can't use Siegel as an excuse, you have to be ready for every game. Good luck to Livingston the rest of the season.
  15. I agree it will be difficult for Siegel to win at Cookeville, but I know how good Siegel is and have a tremendous amount of respect for them.
  16. 8AAA has Shelbyville and maybe Lincoln County that are possible playoff contenders. I don't see how you can predict dominance in regions in the middle of a season. Oh and by the way this is the Siegel/Cookeville thread not Region 4.
  17. Cookeville is known for playing great defense and always being prepared by the coaching staff for the opponent's players. Cookeville will be ready and it should be a great game friday night
  18. I don't know what's up with the other Cookeville fans, but having been a part of this district for four years, I know that any team can win, and one game and one score means nothing. Good luck CAVS against Siegel.
  19. Hey guys its not Michael, its Matt Hill.
  20. Waco, I like the poll. Very close to the way I'd have it. Now, Cookeville not a contender, a joke? Just because your school is not good enough to play with the Cavaliers doesn't mean you have to bash them.
  21. That was last summer and a scrimmage thumb. Alot has changed since then. Cookeville returns over 30 seniors and is definitly going to be prepared when the season starts.
  22. I have been the manager for Cookeville for the past 4 years, and I can tell you that not all managers are losers that do not deserve recognition. I have done EVERYTHING the players have except dress out on game night. I have ran, lifted, practiced, anything they did I did. I made coaching decisions on players starting from who to start to what plays would work well next game. Finally, at the district tournament when Coach Bray was thrown out I had to call our offenses not one of the coaches and we erased a 17 point lead. Managers are very important and some are better than others, but they do deserve a ring if their team wins it.
  23. I'm sorry to say that that one play would not have automatically given you a 10 point win. Cookeville was coming back regardless. You might have won, but it still it would have been close. Now about the game, you livingston fans can't take a loss. Cookeville was the better team and it may be closer next time, but Cookeville deserves some respect.
