Siegel won't win the region. too much hype never ends good. i think it will take more than a year to build a program. also makes you all look like jerks, when not one game has been played and you make a fool out of yourself.

Yes a 4 year letterman is un-heard of in Cookeville. Although Fuggly Blocks the sun he has a good point about the tackles. i can think of 5 that have started this season. I dont see coach j giving paxton and led too much of a break because that can break their momentum and rythm before the playoffs, plus gus only needs a few more yards for a 1000, gotta wanna see that. Any Mcgavock fans have anything to say about their team, how are they winning? defense, throwing, running, what? P.S. have you tightened security, and cleaned up play (are those part of your transformation to a better team too, they should be)

Very true Cookeville doesn't enjoy people from the Boro in any sport Cookeville 1 White County- tradition of showing them who owns highway 111 2 Coffee County 3 Lebanon- always a good game 4 Warren county- tired of killin them but a region game 5 Blackman- never forget the 2002 playoffs 6 Lincoln County- got heated after just 3 years of the same region 7 Smith County- 4a team that always runs their mouth and thinks fake stats are cool (3 guys with more than 100 tackles last year? we all read the all upper-cumberland team) 8 Cumberland county- hate the jets only second to white county 9 Oakland or Siegel- wanna see if harris hooligans will show up for football; pats always a good game 10 Franklin county- region even though no where close geographically

Cookeville was over-looked. from coffee county to lincoln county ot antioch. they were picked 4th and 3rd in a lot of polls in a region that is not the strongest and to go 7-1 to date is extremely impressive not many people out side of putnam county saw that coming. that a boy coach j.

i know that when running a fumble-roosky type play, where the quater back hands it off to a lineman (gaurd or tackle), the lineman must not go directly in front of the qb and take the hand off, they must reverse out and take the hand off behind the qb. kinda dumb seems like any way they wanna hand it would be fine but thats how that works. but if the qb puts the ball down the lineman doesnt have to reverse out they can just grab it and go.

Doesn't have to be at small schools. happens all the time every where. rather sickening when you think how much power one guy has and how terribley it is abused.

Playoffs last year. we played riverdale, and pulled out every trick play. i was a gaurd and we did a motified fumble-roosky i ran it for 20 yards and got knocked out on the riverdale sidelines. got up and got some crappy things said so i hit some dude in the face, worth the penalty. as a team had to be the region championship of 2002.

Cookeville-White county it goes back to when cookeville was putnam county high. People have grandparents who go back to this rivalry. its old school

7AAA hands down. So deep in quality. top 5 teams would be number 1 or 2 almost any other district in the state.

Cookeville. Its huge and has 2 additional warm up gyms (great for tournaments). Siegel's is nice but the size and class of Cookeville's is unmatched.

Watch out for Cookeville their junior class is amazing. they do lack the huge posts like the boro teams but they can hold their own. watch for them to sneak higher than expected with some big upsets, if the faculty doesnt start with suspensions again then it will be a crazy gym to play in. their gaurds and wings can ball with the best.

Ah Blackman fond memories. the nice coats they gave us to wear on the sidelines. but yes Cookeville is a completely different team than ever seen before they, throw and arent between the tackle fullback-running power i anymore. And as for Lincoln County, you had your chance last year being number one in the state and what happened, shut up, you lost. its over go back to enjoying cousin love.

I saw Cumberland County run the Wing T friday night, and it was one of the sloppiest/ugly offensive performances i have ever witnessed. i have seen it run half way decent before but does seem obsolete with the many alternatives in offensive styles., Power I never Die

Usually a pick your score kinda game, but apparently mcgavock has something clicking this year. Although the Cavaliers have the region won and this game doesn't impact the playoffs, they should still give it their all for the 9-1 record they want. Should be motivation enough to go 9-1, but if not there is also the cheap shot laid last year by some second string nosegaurd, which broke our starting tackles jaw, and this years seniors were on the team for the many thefts that occuried last time in mcgavock. Go Cavs!

Friday night on the mountain wouldnt miss it for the world.

They are big. they have that going for them, but it is played on the field. i am sure the coach knows what he has and plans for who he plays against. didnt looke like the few passes antioch threw were any good against cookeville. dont second guess the coach, just support the team.

Rocky top need only be played for the vols. high schools have enough creative songs.

As for the lebanon antioch cookeville thing, way i see it, Antioch(2 loses), Lebanon(1 lose), Cookeville(1 loss), even though its a triangle seems like it should go Lebanon then Cookeville then Antioch, but who cares the bears know who won.

Ok i am predicting tonight because i dont think i will be by my computer thursday night because of fall break. i know the odds of 3 weeks in a row are slim and especially the 16-14 but here goes.
