  1. VERY proud of the Bucs tonight!
  2. Reaction...see what happens when you refuse to bow to the almighty fish sandwich. I hope you learned your lesson.
  3. Perhaps my post was misleading...just like a shutout. I understand how misleading a shutout can be...that "0" can be terribly confusing....did we score? or did we not score? Confusing and misleading. BBS had five FG's last year, one int returned for a score, and another TD, although I don't remember how it was scored. Let's see...7 scores for Boyd...0 for MC...that's misleading, alright! I know you will have to have the last word on this, and that's OK. You are correct in saying that the MC defense held Boyd's offense to modest yardage. Most defenses did...our offense was in shambles for most of the season. I don't expect a shutout this year with MC's offensive talent. But it will be a completely different Buc offense than last year's game.
  4. How is a shutout misleading? If your score at the end of the game is "0"...it's pretty much a shutout, regardless of how the other team scored their points.
  5. From my point of view, the last cheap shot looked pretty malicious. Our QB was already on the knee, and the O and D lines were just barely going through the motions, understanding that the QB was taking a knee. 10 other players for CAK did what was right...this one hot head just couldn't control his frustration. He's lucky he wasn't ejected as well.
  6. BBS defeated Baylor 7-0 in the jamboree Friday night. I'm not aware of any video.
  7. if Tyner just switched with BBS, they should play Bradley Central. Baldcoach's post was about the BBS scrimmage
  8. Do the Bucs have a scrimmage tomorrow (Friday) night?
  9. Any high school football poll is of no real value...especially preseason polls. Everyone acts like they factor into what happens in the post-season like college polls. I think the only real value is the cash Murphy Fair gets for putting the stuff together.
  10. BBS Summer Football Calendar -- http://www.bbschool.org/files/2008%20Footb...%20calendar.pdf
  11. It's spelled "genius" ironic, don't you think?
  12. Now we are talking "overrated and undertalented"!!! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  13. What were the results when Bledsoe faced some decent defenses this year? 0 points 0 points 13 points 0 points Sure, BBS has been shut out twice, but I don't see where BC has had much success on offense against a decent D.
  14. I really am not sure about what to expect from Bledsoe Co. According to some of the BC fans on here, they are playing "hard-nosed" defense, with a playaker on D that can't be stopped. Then another says that Grace is an "average single A team" with "no offense". What does that then say about the BC defense that allowed them to score 27? It is interesting that there are so many "IF's" in the BC predictions: You can't stop us IF... Can BC get rid of all the IF's? I guess it's like one of the fans keeps posting...it depends on which BC team shows up...the one that plays sorry for one half of the game and plays well for the other half. Based on what I've read, I predict that BC plays well for about 30 minutes of the game, and the overrated and undertalented BUCS win by playing a full 60 minutes of consistently solid football.
  15. I think the Bucs D will continue to be very strong. The Bucs will win, but by how much depends on how well they can get into the end zone once they get near or in the red zone. Seems like some drives have stalled when they get close, but I see things coming together with the O, and I think they finish some of those drives this Friday. Wish I could be there to support the Bucs @ BC, but will be getting ready to leave on a jet plane. I'll send some good vibes via Goforth and Keasler over the radio waves.
  16. Very proud of the Bucs in last night's game. Game momentum could have easily shifted in the Bucs favor with the interception that was nullified by a very weak interference call, and a no-call on defensive holding near the Red Bank end zone. If those calls are in BBS favor, it would have likely been a 14 point swing. Oh well...that's the way it goes. The Bucs still competed with Red Bank better than most expected them to. There's not a team left on their schedule that they can't beat. Standing toe-to-toe with the very talented RB players for most of the evening should build their confidence for the rest of the season. I'm sure Daniels was ticked that RB didn't put more points on the board against Boyd. He kept trying late in the 4th quarter, just like he did last year when Boyd kept it close through 3 quarters. Good to see our Bucs didn't back down throughout the game. I hope he didn't sleep much last night. (P.S. Go Brainerd!)
  17. BBS played Red Bank for homecoming two years ago, too. Unlike most schools, we don't really care who is the homecoming opponent. We've played "cupcake-free" non-region schedules for years, and are used to playing these teams...win or lose. The idea of 'we've got to play a cupcake for homecoming' is for teams with low expectations of whom they can compete with.
  18. I know this isn't a BBS or SP topic, but since we were dragged into it... If I understand correctly, SP was a homecoming option, but that game is on the Friday of fall break. The other reasonable option was the Red Bank. I think someone from MC brought it up a couple of weeks ago because it was announced over the PA that there was a mistake about the homecoming game in the program. Anyway, whatever "tradition" says, BBS got out of the habit of caring who we play for homecoming several years ago. I think some of the homecoming opponents over the last few years have included Red Bank, Goodpasture, and, if I'm not mistaken, Fulton and SP. Oh, well....It shouldn't be a big deal, but if it that's motivation for your team...whatever floats your boat. I think MC can win this one, but I don't think they will.
  19. You're right reaction, our DB's do need that experience. Late in the game was, I believe, the only time Grace got in the red zone, and the red zone experience was important for our starting backs, who will really need it in 2 weeks v. Red Bank. I don't blame the team for wanting the shutout. Do we have to let the other team score?
  20. I don't think anyone from BBS on here has criticized Grace for their facilities. We understand what it's like. They're doing what they can, and I'd bet Grace is planning for future growth. The conversation is about logistics for this game, and how the location will handle the BBS crowd. This is not a Silverdale, Temple or Copper Basin crowd coming. I agree with BUC4LIFE...Finley Stadium should be considered. Boyd has done that in the past...we played a home game vs. Baylor at Finley a few years ago because the BBS facilities were inadequate at the time.
  21. Homecoming game/opponent was not switched. The date of the homecoming game was set months ago. It was just a mistake in the program.
  22. I think I just found the answer to my own question...I looked at the "bird's eye view" on MSN maps, and there is not much parking at all. If the baseball field area is also the football field...there's no way the crowd can be accommodated.
