Great meeting! I think every softball coach in middle Tenn. that is serious about their sport will benefit from joining this organization. Thanks Coach Freudenthal for your hospitality. I'm looking for some information on middle school softball. I would like some feedback on what people think about hosting a large scale middle school tournament in middle Tennessee. Are there many tournaments that schools can play in? Would teams be interested in competing in a 32 team tournament sponsored by a major softball manufacturer? I am in the planning stages of such an event in the spring of 2004. I need people's thoughts on such an event. Is it worth trying to host such a tournament?

Dickson County defeated Riverdale Red in tie breaker to win the tournament. Soddy Daisy won all pool games, but lost to Dickson County on Sunday morning in a very hard fought 1-0 game. Tournament was a big success and will be held again next year.

Format is 3 pool into a single elimination bracket. Pool games will be on Saturday and the elimination bracket will be on Sunday. The draw will be Monday, Sept. 29. As of today this is the list of teams: Riverdale(Red), Riverdale(Gold), Oakland, Blackman, Siegel, LaVergne, Warren Co., Lincoln Co., Soddy Daisy, Dickson Co./Creekwood, I am leaving out two schools on this list. Lady Warrior/Worth Southeast Invitational is the first weekend in April. This year will be expanded to 32 teams.(16 Tennessee and 16 out of state) Will be held in Murfreesboro.

Both tranfers were for the right reasons! One family changed jobs. The other family is doing testing with Aerospace at MTSU, and also pursuing an advanced degree. Both have changed their address and are living in the Riverdale zone. The 'boro' is one of the fastest growing towns in the state. End of story.

The injury was not as bad as first thought. Strained MCL and deep bruise. Be back on the field in 2-3 weeks. Great news for a great young man!

Riverdale High School is sponsoring a fall tournament in Murfreesboro. The dates are October 3-5. 3 pool games into a single elimination bracket. :justwrestle: Finney has interviewed and is working with the freshmen football team, but has not officially been offered the job. The principal is trying to arrange a teaching slot for Finney at this time. Finney will be a great hire if they get him. Young and very smart. Good luck Blake!

There will be a fall league based out of Murfreesboro. We are planning on playing at home sites of the schools. There would be three teams brought into one site for double headers. We are still in the developing stage of this league. All of the logistics have not been worked out yet. If you are interested call Jeff Breeden at (931) 723-2301 and leave a message.

I understand that Top Gun is in the running for the head coaching job. This would be a good hire for that school. Young, but quality coach. Good luck Top Gun!

Mynameis, I just talked with plateauman: Oakland is in the championship and will face the winner of Lebanon and Blackman. This losers game begins at 9:00 a.m. Sat.

I am very interested in the 7AAA scores. Where is plateauman when you need him? Anyone with info., please post. District 8AAA still has four teams alive: Coffee, Tullahoma, Shelbyville, and Lincoln. What about 7AAA?

Friday at 7:00, if Thursday games get played and a field is playable on Friday.

Mynameis and rukidinme, We may never get to play again if it does not quit raining. My suggestion today was to play four games on Thursday and two on friday and be done. The others did not agree. Topgun thinks he wins every argument! Can't agrue with his kind!

This information about 8AAA softball is incorrect! There will be two games played on Thursday. If Shelbyville can not get their field ready, an alternate site will be found. The two games will feature: Columbia vs. Shelbyville and Lawrence Co. vs. Lincoln Co. As it looks know Games 7/8 will be played Friday, and 9/10/if on Saturday.
