man I felt so sorry for the Stewart Co. boys. Bryce was hitting like they were nothing. All the hits were clean hits but man oh man he can lay on the wood!

Camden has worked hard to get to the point they are now. Years of always being the ones sitting home during playoffs has driven these young men and this coummity into investing alot of time and money into our football program. But never far out of our minds is the thoughts of losing. Yes we have a 2-2 record at the moment. But the 2 loses were to westview and huntingdon and even then it was not a total wipe out. With 4 major starters out of those games because of injuries, I honestly think if we had not been injuried it might have been an even better game. But even if it does feel nice to think about being the number one team in our "new region". It is something we will not dwell on. The goal is to make it into the playoff's not to be the number one school. LOL I dont know what that would feel like. I cant ever remember Camden ever finishing at the number one spot in the region. Lions are allergic to horses dont you know. Good luck to all the schools. Camden fans always support Camden even when they are losing. The joke in Camden is I am for the Camden lions and whoever plays Huntingdon.

Thanks for saying that Gerry. It takes a big man to admit that he was wrong. Camden fans love our team. Like you love yours. Thanks for finally admitting that Camden deserves to have the respect they have earned. Maybe you are not such a bad man Now that Catfish man. That seems to be another story.

Well after all the trash talk this week on here. I guess we now know who the BEST team is. The only time Fairview got on the board was when the second sting was put in. As far as the fans go, I hope that you fairview fans saw that we support our team. It looked like there were more lions fans there tonight than jackets fans. So enough trash talking about Camden. We have never said we were the best team of all time. We have said that after years of hard work and dedication it is finally paying off for the Camden team. So Mr Catfish if i were you, I would stop predicating things. You dont seem to be really good at it. Camden Lions, you ALL played a great game. You deserve to be the winners that you are. The fans from Camden are pretty sick of these two as well! You would think there is no other team but theirs and no one else has a right to say how good their team is this year.

Camden has come a long way! The last time Camden had a 9-1 season was 21 years ago. I graduated from that class. This years football team is alot like that team of 83. They both play with all their heart and souls. They also play like a team. I have watched the young men of this years team grow from little boys into good strong young men. About 10 years ago the people in this county decided to have a good program we had to start when the kids were young and get them playing football from a young age. So thats when they brought minor leauge football back to Benton Co. When this years seniors and juniors were in junior high, the parents and fans started to see this pay off. That year the junior high went undefeated. Fans and parents knew all the hard work that went into getting this young men to the point where they were. So when this years Seniors were Sophmores, they began looking for a football coach that could take the talent of these young men and create something big with them. The last several years Camden did have talent but it took Coach Ward and his staff to bring this out and forward. Other threads have trashed Camden fans because of our support for our football program. They say we shouldnt be proud of the young men. I disagree. The people that are saying this have no idea what hard work has went into getting the program where it is now days. It is nice to see years of hard work pay off. This years team has brought the community together. It is not that Camden has won 10 games and lost 1 that this town is proud of. It is the way the team has played. It has played with heart and soul. When Camden players knock another team down. They will lend a hand to pick the person up. Camden has played fair and with alot of class. Camden does support this years team and Coach Ward and his staff. Not because of their record but for what it has took to get them there. I dont know how far Camden will go in the playoffs. I do know that Camden fans will be there cheering them on. No matter what! Go Lions!!!!!!! thumb

Camden fans are not saying that they win year in and year out. We know our record in the past. But every time we say how proud we are of this years team. You both bring up our past record. As far as the Lewis Co. game, well they never showed up. I believe you stated earlier that Lewis Co. would come in and clean Camden clock. Well someone forgot to tell Lewis Co. that. Here in Camden we know of what a solid program Lewis Co has had in the past. But the past doesnt matter this year. It is one playoff game at a time. Win or lose. Camden fans will be proud of this years team. We are not saying that they are the best. We are saying that they have improved alot from the past teams. So give us Camden team fans a break. Let us be proud of our record this year. We have at least earned that right.

I agree! He is a great young man. I have seen him do amazing things this year. He isnt that big but he sure does hit like a runaway train. It has gotten to you know when someone makes a big tackle it will be Wilbanks at the bottom of the pile.

I agree! He doesnt know anything about Camden if he thinks Boyd is the only player Camden has. This group of young men play as a team. Win as a team. Loss as a team. Coach Ward told this group of young men when he took the program over. There is no I in team. You can see that he has instilled this into this group of young men. Maybe in past years it was only Boyd that carried the ball but not anymore. He has a younger brother that has carried the football this year alot. So before you start talking about the Camden team. You need to have your facts straight. If in doubt how good the other team players are just look at the stats. They will speak for themselves. GO LIONS!!!!!

While we are talking about the Jackson sun. Can anyone explain their ranking too me.....the ap poll will have Camden 5 and Jackson Suns says they are 7th. I just dont get it. Another example would be the Huntingdon vs Camden game. There was this tiny tiny write up. That was a Huge game that week and maybe 6 sentences was wrote about it. Sports Radio said that was the game of the week. Guess someone forgot to tell the Jackson Su n.

I couldnt agree more. He is a great young man. He takes his kicking VERY serious. I am pretty sure he started playing his freshman yr. He is very focus and goes out there and gets the job done. Go Lions!

I agree! Coach Kevin Ward should be the 2A Coach of the Year. He has done an incredible job with this group of young men. He is a great coach. I am so glad that the young men of the 2004 team had him. The talent was always there. It just took Coach Ward and his staff to bring it out. Big things have been happening in Camden. Coach Ward has brought back pride and fans to Camden football. It isnt that Coach Ward should be Coach of the Year for the record Camden has. But for what Coach Ward has done to turn this program around in such a short time. This is the first time ever. Camden has got to host a playoff game. That was a goal this team set before the first ball was snapped this year. Coach Ward and his staff has helped guide these young men into reaching this goal. Way to go Coach Ward and staff, you and the boys have done this town proud. Go Lions!!!!!
