  1. Tullahoma has been playing that quality education card to recruit for a long time. It simply isn't true. Coffee County actually offers more Advanced Placement courses by six than Tullahoma does. Its renaissance program was also recognized nationally last month.
  2. Why did you ask for a prediction and an outlook if you obviously were going to grind that ax? Coffee County did play for a district championship in the last game of the season last year, by the way. Let's wait until September. It will be a good game. Within 14 points either way. But goodness it's way too early. Tonight will tell a lot about Tullahoma. Let's see how it handles Riverdale.
  3. Granted it was a scrimmage, I wouldn't base play-calling necessarily on situations. But more on which plays are installed and which ones need work and what they wanted to work on that day. Kinna' like a pitcher in the preseason. He might get roughed up a little, but people don't realize he isn't working on his curveball yet.
  4. Wilson Central in Manchester Friday at 5 p.m. I think. AND I think it's at the high school practice field. But I'm not sure. Marshall County jamboree Aug. 13. That is all the preseason action that I'm aware of. And I think it was a turnover on downs, Daniel, then an 84 yard TD run on the next play from scrimmage. Either way it's bad. It was a turnover on downs at the 16 after a to-goal at the 3.
  5. Coach Nunley actually just called. Scrimmage will be at the GAME FIELD at Coffee County Middle School.
  6. Coach Nunley told me Monday it was gonna' be at 5 p.m. but he didn't know where. The game field or practice field. Looks like if they can find a way to film it at the practice field it will be there. I'm not sure if they have made up their minds by now or not.
  7. Wasn't last year the first time Lawrence County made the playoffs since like 1986? Calling a repeat?
  8. This team is also capable of winning district and finally getting past the first round of the playoffs... this team has the biggest heart of any coffee county team i've seen in the past, this is coffee countys year Raider59, I’m really not trying to play the pessimist. I hope they win. And I would love to see a win or two in the playoffs. But remember, they have never come close to winning one. Not with Elam. Not with Nunley. Not with Clark. And none of those playoff games were respectably close. Price's last year, his dream team, couldn't do it either. And those were very good teams by Coffee County standards. But, of course, this year could always be different. Actually the "best team" Price had never got to play together because of injurys IMHO....several were almost "good" teams, but lacked a few key position players. The teams that Elam and Nunley played on were average teams with acouple of good atheletes. Elam was hit at the line of scrimmage on almost every play,as was Nunley, but both had the ability to survive the initial contact and break off long runs. Clark would of been awesome his last season and carried the team if not for a Riverdale players helmet taking out his knee in pre-season. I think that was the point, MCHS. It takes a LOT of stars aligning for Coffee County to put it all in one group. And Nunley had a pretty productive offensive line his two years, actually. And you are right, Clark would have been awesome. It was a Riverdale players helmet to his knee. In the preseason. But you forgot it was on a FAKE punt. In a SCRIMMAGE. Against arguably the best team in the state that year. Maybe the best team. Did they win the state in 2004? I'm still curious as to why you break out a fake punt in a scrimmage. With your best athlete. It cost Price. And Clark.
  9. Good to hear it. Congratulations, Raiderone!

  11. As for the passing game, it looked much better in spring practice. I think Murray will be fine if he has targets. I think coach McWhorter is working with the passing game. Or he was during the spring. He is doing a good job. I look forward to what will hopefully be a good season. I wish coach Nunley the best.
  12. Not a chance bro!!!! Just like last year when Cody beat cc so called prospect lance whatever his last name is like a DRUM!!! Ya may have won on the score board but I bet all yo running backs new Cody. I'm sure that Cody is a fine enough player. But didn't Coffee County's fullback run for 144 on 20 or 21 carries against Warren County last year. In McMinnville?
  13. Coffee County vs. Science Hill in a couple minutes. Listen live online: thunder1320.com
  14. You don't have to cover up Price's name.
  15. Coach Jones has done an excellent job at Coffee Co. How long has he been there? I am guessing 9 or 10 years. Did the game go 8 innings last night? http://manchestertimes.com/news/index.asp
  16. Can you please let me know who won the game? Since Coffee County had no chance, I was too frightened to go to the game. And oh how embarrassing it must have been for the few Coffee County fans who were stupid enough to go. hehe. Binns, thanks for the congrats. Tullahoma played so hard. Honea left his guts on the field tonight I thought he was very impressive. Flip the coin - Brycen Davis on the mound and at the plate, Collin Baldwin in relief, Dylan Holt getting a two-strike bunt down, along with other guys, stepped up for Coffee County. I'm so happy for coach Jones. He deserves it and those kids deserve it. They have worked their tails off. Not to say Tullahoma hasn't. Coach White will have them back next year. They will be a force in 8-AAA again. Another thing, the crowd tonight did not disapoint. It was epic.
  17. Good to hear that. It should be. Everyone that is able to move should be there. This will be one of those that you will remember forever. I don't even think we need any discussion. Game is at 7 p.m. Two teams. Seven innings (maybe). Winner to state. Loser goes home. 'Nuff said. See everybody in Manchester. Wear your red
  18. 6 p.m. central, 7 p.m. eastern. Have a safe trip down.
  19. Binns, we were talking about that scenario as soon as we heard Tullahoma won. That would be an amazing Friday night in May right there.
  20. We can't have your skin exploding. So let's harness some of that energy.... Have a safe trip down rukidnme. Be good to see you around. Hopefully a sweep this year. Something goes wrong and you aren't allowed back.
  21. Well I'm sure this amazing coaching staff will tap into all that potential everyone talks about and the Pioners oughta go at least a couple of rounds deep into the playoffs.
  22. Coming from where you are at, you have to play perfect on Monday (region semi's) and Friday (sectional) if you want to get to the dance. Better competition you play during the season, better chance you have on those two days.
  23. It's always the coach in Coffee Co. Always.
