Look at what Oakland accomplished after a 3-7 record. It can be done, but it ain't easy, i'll grant you that.

Very impressive run, but it has to come to an end sometime. Too bad both South Panola and Maryville had to have their streaks broken in state title games. Does anyone know who has the longest current winning streak since these two great programs went down the same weekend?

The same could be said for OAkland. From a 3-7 season last year to the finals, they have come pretty far also.

I was at that Riverdale game in 2001. Ralph King had 4TDs that night in the rain, and Precious Valentine had 3 tonight. Those 'Boro backs give the Owls fits. Congrats to Ooltewah for making it to the semifinals. Nothing to be ashamed of there.

Franklin is up 21-0 on White Station according to the coacht scoreboard. Looks like middle tennessee will be well represented in the championship game. Once again, the east and west just can't compete with middle tennessee in 5A. Will be interesting to see how things change with the new classifications next year. Go pats! i doubt you will hear from that guy again!!!!!

Normally the first game on Saturday starts at noon, the 4A game at 3:30 and the 5A game at 7PM/

it's true. Oakland was terrible on offense and worse on defense. no first downs until late third quarter. LEbanon scored with 30 seconds left.

Sorry, but that's just plain wrong. Oakland won, Smyrna lost - plain and simple. That's why you keep score. Both teams played hard, both could have won, and if they meet again the result may be different. But only one team leaves the field with a win.

Oakland wins, but I won't get to see it. That is, unless they carry TN high school football in Vermont.
